thanks disha..but the reason i asked about the previous versions was coz many ppl had doubt  when lakshman vowed to kill bharat..so i was wondering if in previous versions the scene was similar with so much angst and where lakshman points arrow to Bharat..

secondly, when i liked  parshuram confrontation in this ramayan..i went back and saw both the scenes in previous one..1986 lakshman was more insulting and sarcastic...they dint give that much sarcastic lines here..but i loved zee tv's scene..it was very powerful..and in ndtv version...i was confused coz this particular scene was way too short without much lines from lakshman...
i can only speak about this scene coz they r the only ones i watched of all
may be i will go and watch this scene  from all versions Embarrassed

and  about the acting of RAM..yup am nt impressed at all.his physique is good..he looks like RAM..he is handsome but when it comes to acting..the  divinity goes off..the body posture, dialogue delivery...i think is no  up to  mark.

@krishni : if other actors can do such an awesome job..then being the lead what is stopping him...certainly his acting is lacking...most of the time ram's face has zero expressions...a more charismatic RAM would have made a lot of difference to the show...

Yes you're right...

Do you remember that tale where Ram and Lakshman deal with Surpanakha...wasn't that humorous!Definitely Ram had some sense of humor...

He was calm and stable in nature...but that doesn't mean he was without any movement or expressions!

But I was a bit disappointed with Gagan's acting. Since the past few episodes it seems like he's not putting in as much effort as he should. Did anyone else feel this way? He has the same type of expression all the time.Ermm

@Janaki absolute...I didn't watch the episode but I want to ask something?

Even I'm disappointed with Gagan's acting since the past few episodes..Is it incomplete from his side? or is it something with the way they are projecting him though he is giving his best?...I'm not getting what do you say???Confused

Yeah, even I don't know whether it's the characterization of Ram or Gagan himself, but I feel disappointed whenever I see him onscreen.Confused Neha is a good actress and the only reason I don't enjoy the Sita scenes is that Sita is being projected with an attitude problem and sometimes tantrumy, but Neha herself is interesting to watch when Sita is characterized fine. As for Neil, even he is interesting to watch when Lakshman is characterized well. But Gagan is always the same. He always has the same expression on his face no matter what kind of situation it is, sad or happy, serious or lighthearted.Ermm

No, it was not this serious. This Ramayana took it a notch higher than what was written in the epic. I'm not saying that's wrong or anything, but here Lakshmana's anger was more volcanic that even Lord Ram could not stop him. In both 1986 and 2008 Ramayana, Lakshmana expressed fury at Bharat and vowed to fight him if necessary, but he never pointed his bow at him because Lord Ram managed to control his anger first. In both the previous Ramayanas, Lord Ram pacified Lakshman and Lakshman calmed down, but here Lord Rama doesn't seem to have any control over his brother. That was the only part I cringed at because in the actual epic, Lord Ram was always able to control his anger.

Yeah, there is no divinity in his acting or posture. His dialogue delivery is so dull and lackluster. He doesn't sound very convincing, and he doesn't seem Godly. I don't know whether it's his fault alone or the directors are not grooming him as they should, but Lakshman is definitely a more interesting character than Ram in this show.

I'm interested and curious to see how Gurmeet did justice to his role(Ram)!
