before getting started, let me clear, this is not an anti - naitik post. just a thought that stirred my mind on reminiscencing the past.
ok, so we all loved naksh's courtship days. didn't we ? those were the golden days of the show. beautiful presentation of the blooming love between a beautiful couple. magical were those days - their anxiety to meet each other, their squabbles, and patch ups, made us live each moment as their relationship developed. the possessive lover/fiance in naitik surfaced. fair or not, we all loved his passion.
lets come to present, sid n antara have broken up. sinhghanias have offered her a helping hand, and allowed her to stay with them. little they know of her intention.
naitik has a pure heart n a clear mind, and there is no two ways about it. he is happily married with a kind. akshara means the world to him, no place of a third person at all. it's all well n good up to this.
what is bothering me, is the different set of rules for men n women. if u all recollect naksh's courtship days, naitik made it crystal clear, that he doesn't believe in friendship between opposite sex. akshara's borrowing a pen from a college mate, agitated him once.
now, antara, who is his friend, also a female is not just living in his house, but also, a little hyper around him.
the wife is not even supposed to smile at other men, but it ok with him to hold hand of his female friend.
he can be as naive as akshara is, but how can u expect ur wife to follow a certain rule, while u practice just the opposite ? isn't a bit hypocritical ? would he allow akshara to be friends with a male ? let alone him being any close to her.
i m not bringing the past into the picture, coz its not unfolded yet, also, it's obvious that naitik was clear from his end. but when he knows , antara probably had feelings for him once , shouldn't he draw a line ? was it fair, that he gambled knowing its illegal, just to please her ?
and akshara, she is from an outer planet. any wife in her place would have questioned the husband, "how come it's ok for u to have female friends, but not me" ? sweetheart, trust others, and be compassionate towards them, but don't be too gullible that they start taking advantage of u.
cv's, it's a fiction n we get it. u can take ur creative liberty , but please pay attention to details and try not to contradict ur own characters and storyline.
