Gauri Shinde's 'English Vinglish' left megastar Amitabh Bachchan in tears. Big B got emotional during the screening of 'English Vinglish'. The concept of the movie touched him so much that his eyes got moist.
The film marks the comeback of the successful actress of 80's Sridevi after a gap of fifteen years and also has Big B playing a cameo in the movie.
"A viewing of 'English Vinglish' directed by Gauri Shinde, wife of R Balki tonight, leaves me with collective lumps in the throat and a surge of flushed eyes near the tear ducts.
"And it is not all the emotion of a particular moment that puts one in such state. It is the uncontrollable effect of appreciation that prevents one from expressing any at all...," Bachchan, 69, wrote on his blog.
The film is about a housewife who enrolls in an English speaking class in order to impress her husband and family.
"In our simplicity lies the true story of a lifetime. Massive explosions and devastating action sequences make you wonder in high adrenalin awe. But equally, the ordinariness of everyday life, strikes many strings that work together in sympathetic chords.
"...Many do it with the ease of a breath taken deeply and exhaled with silent confidence. For me that was the moment in Gauri's film tonight. It said so much in so little!!," added Bachchan, who acted opposite Sridevi in 'Khuda Gawah' (1992).
The film is slated to release in October 5.

New Delhi: Big B is not only the favourite of common people, Bollywood celebrities like him equally. Amitabh Bachchan's presence on the TV show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' has made the serial popular among the Bollywood celebs too, and it seems Prachi Desai is one of them.
The actress, who is celebrating her birthday today, has tweeted about her fascination for the show. She tweets, "Just can't get enough of #kaunbanegacrorepati !! *Addicted."
When somebody asked about the reason behind her praise for the show, she replied, "The very reason is SrBachchan."
Prachi Desai was lately in news for her comment on star kids also, where she had said that star kids get good opportunities on platter.
Coming from the TV background, Prachi gained fame for her act in 'Rock On!'

It was a visual delight when megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Bollywood diva Sridevi took to the stage and shook a leg together on a Michael Jackson song.
Sridevi is a huge fan of the late King of Pop and Amitabh requested her to show few moves. Sridevi gladly agreed, but on the condition that Big B would join her too. Sridevi imitated Jackson to her best, and Amitabh gladly matched steps.
The actress was on the sets of "Kaun Banega Crorepati 6" to promote her comeback film "English Vinglish", in which Big B has played a cameo. The film releases Oct 5.
The two were last seen together in 1992 film "Khuda Gawah".
Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif gave a glimpse of their sizzling chemistry in their forthcoming romantic film "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" on the sets of "Kaun Banega Crorepati 6" (KBC).
The on-screen couple came together on the sets of KBC to promote their movie, and both looked very comfortable in each other's company. They joked, laughed and pulled each other's leg in the company of Bollywood megastar and KBC host,Amitabh Bachchan.
Following Big B's request, SRK and Katrina danced on a romantic track from "Jab Tak Hai Jaan", late Yash Chopra's last directorial venture, which is set to release Nov 13.
Both the actors moved to the slow beats of the song and their crackling chemistry was a treat to the eyes, said a source.
