@Vrish-you are the only one who noticed the blunder!!!honestly of all the names in the world they had to take Matsyagandha!!!-for goodness sake the last thing we want people to know that Parvatis name was Matsyagandha!!!when actually it wasnt!

To be fair, multiple characters with the same name appearing in different events/eras isn't totally out of place in the myths and legends. But it would have been nice if they had used another name. Surely it's nott that difficult to find more than one fish-themed name!  Edited by Kal El - 11 years ago

In the 1965 Tamil film Parvati was reborn in a fisher family named Kayar Kanni... But we dont know how far it can be believed because in that film they showed Sati aka Dakshayani "one" of the various forms of Parvati and not the first incarnation... they also showed that she was burnt by Shiv 😲 😕... I dont know whether its reliable...
