'Parichay's' Alka Amin finds serials over the top-FT article
Alka Amin, who currently stars in 'Kya Hua Tera Vaada' and
'Parichay', has been working in TV serials for many years now. Her first
show was 'Dil Dariya'. But she got her ticket to fame from the show
called '12/24 Karol Bagh', in which she played mother of 3 daughters.
When asked about the quality of current TV serials, Alka confessed that serials lack realism and creativity, these days. Barring few shows like 'Balika Vadhu', she finds most of them to be over the top. Aalka also like Sony's 'Crime Patrol'. If she was not an actress, Alka would have loved to be a news reader.
Alka has two sons, Faheen and Taber Amin. Faheen is also an actor. If given a chance to work in movie, she would love to work with Imtiaz Ali.
