Ram could hear the rattling noises followed by talks.The voices of terrified women screaming at the plight of their vehicle shaking. And then he heard one loud noise. Priya screaming Ram's name and then the phone went dead. He couldn't hear her anymore. His mind wondered the possibilities while he tried hard not to acknowledge his fears. He tried reaching the Inspector's mobile repeatedly but there was no response available. He looked out of the window to watch the pouring rains.His hands were shivering at the last voice of Priya. She seemed to be in trouble. He was cursing himself for not following her to the new jail. Why did he listen to her? Why? By now he should have known she always cared more about others than herself. He was sweating profusely , fighting the curiosity while his mind kept flickering with the negative thoughts.
R : Vikram.. I cannot reach Priya. Aur bahut awaaz bhi suna tah. Kuch ghadbad lagra. Tum yahan dadi ko dekho.. Main pata karta hoon..
He left Kapoor Mansion without even waiting for Vikram's reply. His mind was preoccupied. He knew his Priya was in trouble. It was time to rescue his love.He got into the car and wore his seatbelt when he realized that Vikram was knocking the passenger side door.
R : Vikram. Kyu hua?
V : Ram.. Yeh mausam theek nahi hai. Tum akele nahi jaoge. Main bhi aata hoon. Rishabh hai dadi ke paas. Aur Neha bhi aane waali hai.
Ram didn't refuse him since he wanted to reach the place as early as possible. Priya's parting words were ringing in his ears. Vikram meanwhile tried reaching the police officials to figure out any information they received. He could only receive the name of the last place where there was contact made by the Inspector. Ram was driving as fast as he could. The weather had worsened. It was simply the worst storm to have hit in a decade. They could see police vehicles warning people from travelling anyfurther. But nothing could deter Ram. . Vikram tried reassuring that everything would be fine and even dissuaded Ram from travelling because of weather. He wasn't listening anymore. All that mattered was he had to reach to Priya. They passed the dhabha which was destroyed by the winds. They drove a little further and the sight ahead led Ram to hit the brakes. Their car was halted to a screeching noise. They got out in the heavy rains and saw a few convicts were lying on the ground with severe injuries. Ram ran around the place looking for Priya. Vikram realized that there was a major incident that had occured. Priya wasn't at near sight and he looked around with his eyes slowly losing hope. Ram screamed near the cliff end making Vikram rush to his side. The jail van was burnt and there were the bodies of the Inspector and driver.
R : Priya.. Priya.. Kaha ho? Mere pass aajao.. tumhara Ram aaya hoon. aajao Priya.
He broke down and cried his heart's content on the rock and Vikram couldn't believe his eyes. The 14 year wait which was killing his friend just moved to eternity.
V : Ram.. Apne aapko sambhalo.
R : Kaise vikram? Usne mujhe bina bole chali gayi. Waada kiyi thi ki woh hamesha mere saath rahegi.. Usne kaha.Kuch nahi ho sakta usko. Kuch bhi nahi..
He held Vikram's hands and fell on the ground. His eyes fell on the book that was lying near by. The Bade acche lagte hai book he had gifted Priya during their last meeting.
R : Vikram.. Yeh book.. His voice broke. Maine yeh Priya ko gift diya tah. He couldn't control his tears anymore. They were flowing freely threatening to never stop.
His mind recollected their last meet. They were separated by bars but he could still see,touch and feel her presence. He was broken with helplessness of not able to reach her. But Priya kept trying to be strong for his sake. She didn't want to show her hurt but kept insisting on looking at the bright side. He was lost in his thoughts while vikram interrupted him.
V : Ram.. Ab bahut dher hogaya hai. Hum ko nikal na chahiye. Maine Police ko khabar kardiya. Woh aate hi honge.
Ram was present physically but his mind was far from this current situation. The book stayed closer to his chest. For not once did he leave it from his hands.
R : Tum jaante ho Vikram iss book ki ending sad hain. Do pyaar karne waale alag ho jaate hain. But Priya ne mujhe boli thi ki humari kahani aise nahi hoga. Mujhe yaad hai. Us ne boli ki jab hum milenge ek doosre ke saath rehenge. Hamesha hamesha keliye. Phir kahan jayegi.. Kuch nahi hua hoga usko. Kuch bhi nahi.
Vikram tried shaking up Ram who lived in his own world. He wasn't willing to see the reality.Vikram hugged his dear friend and cried along with him. His best friend who finally found true love just became a loner. All over again. Destiny played a crude joke and it made Ram lose his love. The worst is Ram refusing to accept it. He didn't know why God was hell bent on testing good people. Ram and Priya were made for each other. They deserved love but were separated time and again by evil forces. Life was indeed unfair on both of them. He gathered Ram and drove back to Kapoor Mansion. Ram sat next to him like a lifeless soul, holding the book dearly. Ram would repeatedly utter ' Jaldi aajao Priya. Main tumhare bina jee nahi sakta. He was playing their good times together and the promises they said to each other. The flashback reminiscing the wonderful journey they travelled. The best 6 months in his 40 years of life. The question remained if he would ever restart this journey. His heart kept saying Yes. And that was enough to reassure him. 5 years passed by and he was holding onto this thought until destiny made him land up in Dubai.
