Festival Connection:

14th January - Uttarayan -

Like most of India we celebrate 14^th January as Uttarayan- meaning that the sun from this day travels north from Tropic of capricon to Tropic of Cancer.

If you are in Gujarat on this day you will find yourself among the cluster of kites mostly the flying ones in the sky.

The festival of flying kites as it is commonly called is a social festival meaning it does not have any religious value.

No matter which part of world we live in we eat Undhiyoo, Jalebi , Puri and Kachori along with Chikki made out of Til, peanuts, mamra, mix dryfruits,etc.
