As soon as they return from the Sharmas, Ram and Priya go to their room in silence. Priya is still shocked at what had transpired there. Ram goes off to change and Priya goes and stands by the window.
Priya, in her thoughts: Thank you Ram, aaj aap ne Maa Papa se maafi mang kar unki izzat ka maan rakha. Main jaanti thi ke aap yahi karenge.
Ram comes out and Priya quickly goes to change before Ram has the chance to ask her again why she is doing this. She changes into a nightgown, comes out and goes to get the blanket and the pillow. Ram stands there with his arms crossed and stares at her with his eyebrow raised. She notices, but completely ignores him. After she is done setting up her bed, she sits down on the couch with cotton in her hand and starts putting them in her ears. He is still staring at her with his eyebrow raised.
Priya, taking out the cotton from her ears: Kya? Aap aise kyun dekh rahe hain?
Ram, while pointing to the couch: Yeh kya hai? Tum yahan couch pe kyun so rahi ho?
Priya, trying to be serious: Maine aap se kitni baar kaha hai ke main aap ke saath nahi rehna chahti hu. Maine sirf aap se aap ki property aur aap ka paise ki vaja se shaadi ki. Mujhe aap ke kharaton se neend nahi aati. Aur ab jab hamara rishta hi nahi raha, toh main yahaan hi soungi na.
Ram, raising his eyebrow again: Acha? "Mujhe aap ke kharaaton ki aadat ho chuki hai" Tumhi ne kaha tha na? Ab kya ho gaya?
Priya turns away as she remembers what happened that morning, and all the sleepless nights that she had endured being away from him. She doesn't answer him.

Priya, still looking away, softly: Aap kya keh rahe hai, mujhe kuch samaj mein nahi aa raha.
Ram: Priya, I'm warning you, agar tum yeh natak band nahi kiya na, toh main..

Ram: Theek hai, kal dekhte hai.
Ram turns around and walks to the bed. He gets into bed and turns the other way, facing away from Priya.
Priya also turns around and faces the wall. She knows Ram isn't asleep yet and she can't sleep either. After about an hour, she hears Ram's snoring and smiles. She looks over at him, sleeping peacefully, and she finally falls asleep too.
Ram wakes up in the middle of the night. He looks over at Priya, who is facing the wall. He gets out of bed and walks over to the couch. He sits down on the ground next to it and looks at her.
Ram, out loud to himself: Priya, kyun kar rahi ho tum yeh natak? Aisi kya majboori hai tumhari ke tum itni koshish kar rahi ho mujhse door jaane ki? Tum jaanti ho main tumse kitna pyaar karta hu aur main bhi jaanta hu ke tum mujhse kitna pyaar karti ho, toh phir yeh sab kyun? Tum kuch aur keh rahi ho aur tumhari yeh aankhen kuch aur hi keh rahi hai, Priya.
He sighs and then gets up and bends over her. He lightly kisses her on the cheek and gets up and walks back to the bed. Priya opens her eyes and a tear rolls down the same cheek that Ram kissed.
Priya, in her thoughts: I'm sorry Ram. Main yeh natak nahi karna chahti lekin main majboor hoon. Aapki property aur aapka paisa bachane ke liye mere paas aur koi tareeka nahi hai. Main jaanti hu ke yeh paisa aap ke liye koi mayine nahi rakhta lekin main Niharika ko kamyab nahi ho ne doongi. Usse ab aap ka galat faida uthaa ne nahi doongi.
She then closes her eyes and drifts off to sleep again.
The next morning, Priya wakes up first. She freshens up and gets dressed. She sits back down on the couch with a book and starts to read. Ram finally wakes up and looks sat Priya, who is dressed and reading. He takes a deep breath and goes to freshen up and get dressed without saying anything to her. Priya sees Ram get up from the corner of her eye. She closes her eyes and calls Bansi Kaka to bring his breakfast.
Ram comes out of the bathroom.
Ram: Good morning, Bansi Kaka ko bolo jaldi nashta laaye, mujhe bahut bhook lagi hai. Kitne din baad aloo parathe kha raha hoon.
Priya: Haan bol diya hai, abhi laa rahe hain.
Bansi Kaka brings the breakfast.
Ram sits down on the table with the plate of aloo parathas in front of him. He takes one in his plate and puts extra ghee on it. Priya is watching him intently. He looks at her and then starts to eat.
Ram: Mmm, kya parathe hai yaar. Kitne din se nahi khaya hoon. Tum bhi lo na.
Priya: Nahin, mein theek hoon. Aap hi khayie.
He takes one more and devours it. Then he reaches for his third. He looks her straight in the eye and takes a third paratha, pours extra ghee on it and starts eating it.
Priya is becoming more and more restless. She is starting to get worried now. Ram finishes the third paratha and reaches for the fourth one. He pours extra ghee on it and breaks a piece and is about to put it in his mouth when Priya gets up instantly, and grabs his hand to stop him. She takes the piece that was in his hand, puts it down on the plate in front of him, takes both the plate in front of him and the plate of parathas and walks off from there.
Ram: Hey! Kahan jaa rahi ho? Mujhe mere parathe wapas de do!
Priya ignores him and takes the plates to the kitchen. Ram is still sitting at the table, smiling.
Ram, in his thoughts: Main jaanta tha Priya, ke tumhe meri parwa abhi bhi hai. Tum mujhse utna hi pyar karti ho. Ab bas tumhare mooh se sunna chahta hu.
After a few minutes, Priya comes back to the room. She walks to the mirror and stands in front of it, and starts getting ready to leave.
Ram: Kahan jaa rahi ho?
Priya: Bahar
Ram: Kahan?
Priya: Hamara divorce ho ne wala hai Mr. Kapoor. Mujhe nahi lagta ab mujhe aap ko sab batane ki zarurat hai.
Ram comes and stands behind her while she's putting her bindi on. She notices him but ignores it. She turns to leave when he grabs her hand and pulls her back to him. He pins her against the wall and looks deep into her eyes. There is one strand of hair that is disturbing his view. She tries to release herself but he tightens his grip around her waist and comes a little closer. He removes the strand of hair and tucks it behind her ear.
Priya's heart started racing. She couldn't breathe. She could feel Ram's warm breath on her face.
Priya: aa'aap yeh kya kar rahe hain?
Ram: Tumhari bindi tedi hai.
She closes her eyes as he fixes it. He continues to look into her eyes. She opens them and sees Ram looking deep into her eyes. She lowers them.
Priya: Mr. Kapoor, please mujhe jaane dijiye.
Ram: Pehli baat yeh Priya, main tumhe divorce kabhi nahi doonga. Tum jitni baar mujhe divorce papers do, main hamesha unhe phad ke tumhe wapas doonga.
Priya: Please mujhe chodiye
Ram doesn't budge: Tumne mujhe parathe khane se kyun roka Priya?
Priya: Please mujhe chodiye, Mr. Kapoor.
Ram: Tum yeh natak kyun kar rahi ho Priya?
Priya: Please Mr. Kapoor
Ram tightens his grip a little bit more and comes a little bit closer. His face, inches away from hers.
Ram: Mera sawaal ka jawab do Priya, tumne mujhe parathe khane se kyun roka?
Priya could feel herself losing her senses. Her heart was beating so fast by now she thought it would just leap out of her chest. She was sure Ram could feel it. She turned her face a little to try and compose herself. His dark chocolate coloured eyes, filled with so much love, was making her weak again.
Ram: Priya, meri taraf dekho.
She turned her face back to look at him.
Ram: Mere sawaal ka jawaab do Priya, tumne mujhe parathe khane se kyun roka?
Priya: Kyun ki aap ki sehat ke liye acche nahi hai'
Ram: Toh? Tumhe kya? Tumhe koi parwa nahi ke main jeeyu ya mar'
Priya put her hand on his lips to stop him'
Ram kissed her hand. She turned her face away again.
Priya: Please mujhe jaane dijiye Mr. Kapoor.
Ram: Main tumhe jab tak jaane nahin doonga, tab tak tum mujhe nahi batati tum yeh sab kyun kar rahi ho.
Priya: Maine aap se kitni baar kaha. Mujhe aap ke paise chahiye isiliye divorce maang rahi hoon..
Ram: Toh theek hai. Main tumhe apni saari property, saare paise de ta hoon. Ab khush? Ab tum yeh natak band karogi?
Priya: Nahin, mujhe aap ke saath nahi rehna. Mere liye bahut mushkil hai. Ab aur nahi kar sakti.
Ram: Really?
Priya, looking away: Haan'
Ram lets her go: Ok fine. Jao, tum jo kar na chahti ho, jaa ke karo. Lekin mujhse ummeed mat rakhna ke main apna khayaal rakhu jab tum yahan nahi hogi. Aur yeh kabhi mat bhool na ke I love you. He turns around and starts to walk away. Priya's eyes filled with tears. Why did he say that? He had to take care of himself, for her! He makes it about 5 steps.
Priya: Ram?
Ram stops and smiles. She had finally called him Ram for the first time after she got back. His name sounded so sweet coming from her. He wipes the smile off his face and turns around to look at her.
Priya runs to him. She throws her arms around his neck and hugs him tightly while standing on her tippy toes, with tears in her eyes.
Priya: Ram, aap aisi baat dobara kabhi nahi karenge..
Ram hugs her back tightly. He smiles. Finally, finally she was in his arms. He had been waiting for this for so many days now.
Ram separates her from him. He is still holding her by the waist. He lifts her chin, wipes her tears and looks into her eyes.
Ram: Priya main jaanta hu tum mujhse kitna pyaar karti ho. Mujhe tumhari in khubsoorat ankhon mein dikhraha hai. Woh udaasi, woh dard aur mere liye dher sara pyaar. Sab dikh raha hai mujhe. Tum jo bhi kaho, lekin tumhari aankhen usse bhi zyada bolti hain. Jaanti ho Priya, jab tum jhoot bolti ho, toh tumhari yeh aankhen tumhara saath nahi deti. Tum ne kaha tha na ke tum jaanti ho ke mera dil gusse mein kaisa dhadakta hai aur excitement mein kaisa dhadakta hai.. aaj mein tumse kehta hu, main jaanta hu, tumhari in ankhon se jab tum sach bol rahi ho aur jab tum jhoot bol rahi ho. Aur jab tumhe takleef ho rahi hai aur jab tum udaas ho. Mujhe tumhari dil ki har baat tumhari in aankhon se pata chal jaati hai. Priya, please ab to bata do tum yeh sab kyun kar rahi ho?
Why did he love her so much? Why could he see through her every action, and know that she was lying? What was she going to tell him? Would be believe her?
Priya immediately looks away: Nahin, main nahi bata sakti.
Ram makes her look at him again: Kyun Priya, tumhe mujh par vishwaas nahi hai kya?
Priya: Vishwaas ki baat nahi hai Ram, main bas aap ko nahi bata sakti. Main aapko aur takleef nahi dena chahti.
Ram: Aur tumhe lagta hai ke mujhse door jaa kar tum mujhe takleef se bacha rahi ho Priya? Tumhe lagta hai ke yeh sab kehkar, ke tumne mujhse mere paise ke liye shaadi kiya, usse mujhe takleef nahi hoti? Hoti hai Priya, bahut takleef hoti hai. Jaanti ho kyun? Kyun ki mujhse zyada tumhe takleef hoti hai yeh natak harte hue. Mujhe yeh bhi tumhari aankhon mein dikh raha hai. Aur main tumhe takleef main nahi dekh sakta. Please Priya batao tum yeh sab kyun kar rahi ho?
Priya, looks away again: nahi Ram main nahi bata sakti.
Ram makes her look at him again: Priya meri taraf dekho. Main yahaan hoon, tumhare saath, hamesha ke liye. Tum meri zindagi ho Priya. Priya: Kyun ki yeh aapki parivaar ke bare mein hai Ram. Aur aap ke parivaar ke khilaaf aap kabhi kisi ki nahi sunte. Meri bhi nahi.
And with that she looks away. Ram pulls her a little closer.
Ram: Priya, ab sab kuch badal chukka hai. I'm really sorry Priya. Mujhe tumhari baat maan ni chahiye thi.
Priya: Mujhe aap se koi shikayat nahi hai Ram. Main aapse naraaz bhi nahi thi or ab bhi nahi hoon.
Ram: Batao na Priya. Aisi kaunsi baat hai jo tumhe itna pareshaan kar rahi hai? Kaun tumhe yeh sab karne pe majboor kar raha hai?
Maybe now it was time. Maybe it was time to tell Ram the truth. She trusted that he would believe her.
Priya takes a deep breath: Ram, Niharika.
Ram: Maa? What about her?

Ram takes her face in the palms of his hands: Priya, mujhe batao ke Maa ne kya kiya?
Tears start rolling from her eyes again.

He wipes her tears.

Ram is shocked. He tightens his grip around her, to reassure her that he believes her. Tears start falling from his eyes. He chokes out: Maa? Uss ne mujhe meri Maa ke khilaaf bhadkaya? Itne saal se woh sahi thi aur maine unhe galat samjha? Itni nafrat ki? Aur Choti bhi?
Priya wipes his tears: I'm sorry Ram. I'm really sorry.
Ram: Priya, tum yeh sab ke liye khud ko itni takleef de rahi thi?
Priya is silent. She doesn't respond.
Ram: Priya ab aur nahi. Ab mujhe sab pata chal gaya hai. Ab main sab theek kardunga. Lekin hum unhe unhi ke khel mein hara denge. Hum yeh natak karte rahenge. Mujhe unhe ek sabak sikhana hai. Woh log mujhse meri zindagi cheen na chahte hai na? Ab main unhe sikhaunga zindagi cheen ne ka kya matlab hai. Hum yeh ladaai saath mein ladenge Priya. Main tumhare saath hoon.
Priya nods. She puts her arms around his neck, stands on her tippy toes and hugs him tightly. He puts his arms around her waist and hugs her back even tighter.
After a moment they separate. He looks deep into her eyes. She closes her eyes as he kisses her forehead. Then her eyes and then her cheeks, and then brings his lips down to meet hers after so many days of being apart. They were finally together. They would fight this. They would take down Niharika. Together.
