Did Rakesh Roshan make Hrithik Roshan?

We've heard it all before, Rakesh Roshan made Hrithik Roshan, but is this really true? Did Rakesh Roshan make Hrithik Roshan, or did Hrithik Roshan make Rakesh Roshan (big)? Edited by ronaldinha - 12 years ago

Hrithik was a born star.

RR though made him into a superstar. After KNPH Hrithik was going through a dull phase with disasters such as Yaadein, AMALL, NTJNH. Which is when Papa Roshan rescued Hrithik with Koi Mil Gaya and saved his dying career.
On the other hand RR though not a great director, knows what the audience wants and has been fairly successful without Hrithik as well. Karan Arjun, Khudgarz, Khoon Bhari Maang etc. But again Hrithik turned him from a decent director into a super successful one.

All in all, its been a mutually beneficial relationship. They can both succeed without each other but together they are unbeatable at the Box Office.

Partly yes...HR is here today because of his filmi connections both from his mom and dad's side. Without them he would probably be playing one of the Maan Singh Khuranas of small screen.
But children can also raise the profile of their parents. RR wasnt really respected as an A lister both as an actor/director/producer. HR surely raised his profile. Otherwise he would have been where he was before HR was launched. Chasing big stars to act in his movies.

For sure hrithik didnt come to this world alone .Rakesh and Pinky Roshan marriend each other and then Hrithik come so yes RR make Hrithik 🤣

But yeah I think his father has a hand in it...if it wasn't for Koi Mil Gaya/Krrish don't think HR would've done that well...and I still don't get the hype of KNPH didn't like the film at all.
