As we bid farewell to Sapno Se Bhare Naina, we will keep an indelible impression of Parvati Vaze and Gaurav Bajaj as Naina and Daksh.
The story revolved round these two characters at the beginning, which started at the end of 2010 and had very interesting anecdotes, and the scenes were colorful and beautiful, with the hills of Sikkim and Darjeeling. The school, home and friends of Naina and the beginning of her career as a Wedding Planner.
Once Naina arrived at Mumbai, the story had a roller coaster ride. As initially, Naina was house hunting, she had to face the lecherous advances of an unfaithful husband, and had to run away from his house, but soon she met Vibha Patwardhan and it changed her life.
Early in her stay with the Patwardhans, she had to contend with the animosity of their son, Daksh, but soon they developed an understanding of each other. The memorable events during this period was the Gudi Padwa festival, and the Holi festival. During this period, a diversion was created by the entry of the cousin of Daksh, and his attempted romance with Naina, and due to miscommunication between Naina and Daksh, each one missed the boat, and Naina landed with Abhimanyu and Daksh with Sonakshi.
Abhimanyu in the life of Naina was a pain in the neck, and the show meandered and then came Sonakshi, also in preparation for the entrance of the biological mother of Naina. Both these characters, Abhimanyu and Sonakshi were often cause of pain to Daksh and Naina. Rohini with her strange way of thinking, and with a penchant for grabbing what was not hers, took advantage of the pair, Daksh and Naina, who ultimately tied the knot without the blessing of Vibha Patwardhan in Darjeeling, where Naina had retreated after facing bitter treatment in Mumbai.
Rohini took advantage of the mother, and her gullible nature, and twisted her mind and she turned against Naina and Daksh. From October of 2011 we were given a bitter dose of Rohini and her antics, and in spite of the viewer comments, we were forced to see these unhappy episodes, and suddenly we came to know that the show was to end on February 3, 2012. As January was coming to an end, a sharp detour was taken to close the show, and hopes have been dangled in front of us of a happy ending.
It was a good effort on the part of Shakuntalam Telefilms to bring out this show, and with a team of diligent actors and actresses, and a crew with dedication, they managed to turn out episodes much better than the average fare that is offered on our channels.
Unfortunately, the Channels must be knowing that the majority of the viewers are having poor tastes, and to meet their favor, churn out the regular stuff, which does not call upon high skills of the technical crew, and do not use the full potential of the actors and background musicians.
Perhaps, in the coming years, as the young become adults, and more people develop mature tastes, the fare too will rise up to the occasion, with technical developement in the TV industry, like HD formats and Digital Television. Hope we will see institutes training writers, camera techincians and offer other skills to people so that we will have an all round mushrooming of talent. So far, the concentration is on acting and dancing. The other skills are neglected, and need close attention by those who are wanting to invest their money in this Industry, to face new challenges that are going to come with the passing of time.
