We discussed 2 of the mythological questions in the show
here last week.
One thing I'm wondering - for their mythological questions, what exactly are their sources? Last week, they claimed that Krishna, rather than Ugrasena, did the last rites for Kansa, but Shrimad Bhagvatam says nothing about who did it, while Hari vamsa says that Ugrasena did do it, supported by Krishna. So these 2 primary sources certainly don't support that answer.
Also, today, the clincher question in the first round - 'Who forgave the killer of his/her 5 sons?' to which the answer was given as Draupadi, that's not what the Mahabharata says. Rather, it says that
Bhima told Draupadi that the reason Ashwathama was spared was that he was a Brahmana and their guru's son, and hence, they couldn't kill their dead guru's son. Draupadi accepted that explanation and said that she just wanted the debts of their pain to be paid off, and gave up her demand that his corpse be handed over to her. But that's not the same as her
forgiving Ashwatthama.
So I'm left wondering - where exactly are these people getting their gyan?
