Buniyaad, Hum Log writer dead By: Agencies March 30, 2006
Manohar Shyam Joshi, writer of megahit serials like Buniyaad, Hum Log and Mungeri Lal ke Haseen Sapne, died in Delhi this morning.
He was 73. He is survived by wife and three sons.
The cremation will take place at Nigambodh Ghat here at 12.00 pm, family sources said. He was not keeping well for some time and breathed last at 6.40 am, they said.
Joshi was recently awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award. He had been the editor of hindi daily 'Hindustan'.
Born in Amroha in 1933, he received many prestigious awards in his career, including the Delhi Hindi Academy award
