There have been some comments indicating Arnav is doing the same thing as Shyam ..i.e. their behavior towards Khushi.
However there is a big difference according to me. My two cents:
Shyam knows what he is doing. He also knows he wants to be with both Anjali and Khushi. He will stoop low to any lengths to get Khushi. He is manipulative and has no heart. He is a fox in a sheep's clothing.
Arnav has trained himself to work with his head and has muted his heart in these matters for a long time. He is confused and searching for questions within him as to why he is feeling this way towards Khushi. He has never tried to take advantage of her-agreed he has been rude, mean and insulting towards her. Even when she called him "Character dheela" he said he would show what that means but never disrespected her in that manner.
He does not want both La and Khushi. La seems to fit in his plan and she is safe as in she does not turn his world upside down and drive him crazy and for ASR staying in control is everything. Losing control means being weak so he fighting his feelings for her.
