Smriti, Ekta to produce TV show & more scoop
Ekta Kapoor has always maintained that Smriti Irani, was her favourite actress. Now she has taken her fondness for this actress to the next level. The two good friends are planning to produce a television show for Star TV, which should go on air in April. But Smriti prefers to let Ekta do all the talking, calling her a "senior partner." Apparently the two friends have been planning this show for a long time now but given their hectic schedules, it took a while for things to fall into place. And of course, Smriti, will be acting in the show too.

Meanwhilem Ekta's protg Anita Hassnandani is vouching a career, after the success of their latest joint venture Kavyanjali, now it's time to take their hit jodi a step ahead. Apparently, Kapoor has readied a show for Anita which will take off around the end of the year. According to sources, the show will be one of Balaji's costliest ever and will be aired on prime time.

Urvashi wants to re-enter Kasauti
Urvashi Dholakia is denying rumours that she has quit the serial Kasauti Zindagi Kay. The actress who was missing in action for the past two months, insists that she was only taking a well-deserved break, since she had other commitments to attend to. Urvashi first took off on a long holiday to London. On her return, she also spent quality time with her 10-year-old twins besides doing a couple of shows. But now the actress is dying to get back to work and has decided to speak to Ekta for a re-entry into Kasauti. But the million dollar question is, will Ekta oblige? The lady doesn't take too kindly to actors staging walkouts.

Himani turns to small screen for roles
When Bollywood actresses don't get enough work in films, they turn to television for survival. The talented actress Himani Shivpuri is a case in point. After proving her forte in comic sequences, the lady is playing the role of a hip biji (grandma) in India Calling. Himani says that she's enjoying every bit of her role where she gets to sway to bhangra and indulge in mischief. Himani, however, has not shut the door to Bollywood and says she will be seen in a couple of films this year. A great way to make the best of both worlds.

Aparna's movie inspires Tassnim
Few people are aware that actress Tassnim Sheikh's mother suffers from Alzheimer's disease. But a new twist to this sad story developed after Tassnim went to watch a special screening of 15 Park Avenue. After watching Konkona Sen perform, she realized that her mother could also be suffering from schizophrenia. Tassnim promptly got in touch with her family doctor, to confirm the same. It took the actress 15 years to realise that her mother's incoherent babbling could be related to schizophrenia. The movie has made her much more protective about her mother.
