                                                         How does it feel to be in love? I don't think that I have even asked this question to anyone let alone my own self. Why? I don't seem to figure out the whole conception of falling in love and then getting off the feet. It always seemed to be mind boggling to me. I know my parents have always thought of marrying me off to a decent guy but I know I have always secretly fancied myself to be married to a person who would resemble Navin Bhaiya . A man with an arresting personality, and with a captivating smile may be??!! But my life has never been quite under my control, so after Bhaiya's untimely death and the following aftershocks were enough to shatter all my hopes for a good fairytale afterlife. I took it up as a challenge to prove the innocence of my late brother who was branded as a traitor and so here I am in Kanchanjungha Military Academy to get back the lost honor of my brother. Well I am Cadet Naina Singh Ahluwalia though "Singh" is my official surname here to avoid any unwanted sarcasm or knowing looks.

                                                          When I entered KMA , my goals were pretty clear. With my no nonsense attitude I was to some great extent able to ward off any distraction that could deter my mission. I had steeled myself enough to remain unaffected from any kind of upsurge of emotion. But then there must have been some loopholes in my preparation itself because here I am writing my diary with a quivering hand.

                                                            What is this tingling feeling  I get whenever I see him? Not to mention that I see him quite frequently and I am even more embarrassed to accept that I do look forward to see him, or the feeling of when he simply looks at me with those deep penetrating eyes? Why do I get the feeling that he wants to say something when he only smiles at me? I know I am no school going teenager who gets infatuated so easily then why is this happening to me? Why do I seek every little opportunity to just look at him? Why doesn't he cease to surprise me? It used to be so easy to hate him for what he did to me and my family, only the fact is I could never even hate him properly. I was dejected and disappointed with him for keeping away the truth from me. With  eachpassing  day, I seem to discover an entirely different aspect in his character. And today was no exception. Proving all of us wrong he actually lost to his friend in the final exam of selection of the Vice Principal for KMA.

                                                       "Kya aap apne dost ko jeetane ke liye haare?"

was the question that I threw in his direction as soon as I barged into his room obviously seeking his permission this time. Before this day I never thought of the importance of seeking a permission to ask a question from him.

"Naina, na jane tum mujhe kya samajhti ho lekin mai ek bahut sadharan aur aam insaan hoon aur insaan kabhi kabhi haara bhi karte hai."

I really don't know what had happened to me at that moment as I kept staring at him foolishly as if trying to drink in every passing moment that I was with him in his room. And Oh! I hardly breathe when he looked straight into my eyes as if asking me a thousand questions which I wasn't even aware of.

"Naina kya tum mujhse kuch kehna chahti ho?" this was all that he had asked. Apparently quite an easy question to answer but that was certainly not the case with me.

How could I ever tell him that I am beginning to see him in an entirely different light altogether? How could I ever tell him that I wished the moment would freeze then and there? How could I have possible told him, "Sir, I think I am falling in love with you."

Yes, I Cadet Naina Singh Ahluwalia finally accept that I am hopelessly and irrevocably in love with Captain Rajveer Singh Shikhawat and now as they say there's no going back.
