Priyanka Bassi is a not a name to introduce to anyone in today's times. A Bubbly Delhi Girl Arrived in Mumbai to make it 'Big'. In 2005, She landed as a lead role in India's Second English Opera 'Bombay Talking' Produced By UTV. she played an aspiring bollywood actress Sheena Malik to make it 'BIG'. But that's not all she has to deal with. She has to face her biggest trouble in her career and that's no one but her own mom who once desserted her and her father. Sheena's aim is to teach a lesson to her mother and also to get re-united with her. The show was fetched for a niche audience and priyanka's performance was well received. It made her win a nomination in ITA's Fresh Face of the Year 2006.
Priyanka tasted her biggest success in 2006 with her Daring, Rough-Tough, Bold, Aggressive, No-Nonsense Beauty in The Military Based Soap 'Left Right Left' where her performance took the whole nation by storm. She Played Naina Singh Ahluwalia, An angered sister whose family was wounded on the murder of their son and Naina's brother - Navin Singh Ahluwalia who was declared as a traitor instead of a Martyr. Naina vows to take revenge from people responsible for this and takes admission in the same military academy where once her brother passed out from. He was passed out as the best cadet and that's the dream naina carries to fulfill in order to prove her brother's innocence. But the road is not easy for Naina as she found herself tortured by the teachers and the faculty, mocked by her seniors and sometimes by her mates too. But this doesn't stop her determination as her stood against all...like a True Hero. Destiny brings her close to Captain Rajvir Shekhawat who falls in love with her. He stands by her on all her hurdles. Circumstances turn into poison which make Naina to shoot even her own Mentor. Her Pain takes on her and herself and she loses control on everything. Nevertheless, things get better And she realizes her love for her Man. Love seems to blossom and a new world awaits for Naina where love and affection is waiting for her. Alas ! Her dreams breaks in pieces when she witnesses her lover's death in her eyes. Gone into Depression, she loses herself completely. But the call of her mentor and brother brings her to life as she takes on their murderers and gets justice for them. After a long struggle, Naina gets what she wants Justice for brother nd captain Rajveer and becomes a great officer.
Priyanka was nominated for best actress at indian television academy awards and won idea glamour award in 2007.
In 2008, She appeared in Mr and Miss Tv Reality show on Sony Entertaiment Television where she entertained us in multiple dimensions - mimicry, acting, voiceover dubbing, dancing, antakshari etc. She reached the semi finals successfully. The show was a success too.
After this, She took a long break, initially, the reasons were unknown but the reason was to get into Bollywood. Priyanka took time to prepare herself for the big screen. She took dancing classes, and attended workshops too...Its said that the right chance always arrive at the right time. Priyanka realized this and she finally decided to come back in 2010.
In December 2010, she came back with star one Rang Badalti Odhni as Samaira aka Sam who is a bubbly and spunky punjabi girl...she came to add spice in the show and bring something fresh but the irresponsible behaviour of creatives left her character half baked which disappointed her fans and she quickly understood this and left the show. Nevertheless Priyanka got what she wanted from the show. she managed to double her fanbase through this venture as well.
Action suits her well and Sony channel realized this after having her in Left Right Left. they didnt think much when they were looking for casting for their show Surya -The Super Cop. Priyanka was immediately offered the role of a slick and intelligent homicide investigator KAYA who is paired with Rajhans whom she had a past with (Although it was never revealed in the show) Priyanka did 9-10 episodes in total in Surya. Initially she looked uncomfortable in the show but she picked up later and delivered a spectacular performance. her fans even dedicated facebook pages for the character.
Now Priyanka is going to sizzle in Star Plus Upcoming reality show 'Survivor' which is the desi version of the western series...Our Theme of Fanclub this time is to wish her all the best 👏
