The Harry Potter film series received the award for Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema at the Orange British Academy Film Awards in 2011.
J.K. Rowling and David Heyman received the award on behalf of the franchise during the ceremony at London's Royal Opera House on Sunday 13 February 2011.
