It's an interesting story. The guy came from a middle-class background but saw a lot of success in his career and became very rich--it kinda went to his head. His mom is a snob--anything expensive is amazing. He's better and nicer than his mom though--he loves his wife Panna (Badi Ma's daughter) very much. He has lost his job now because of recession and has issues finding a new job because he doesn't want to take a job which is not as good as the previous one and doesn't offer as much money either.
In SGP, all characters are good. Nobody is bad/evil. They're all very realistic and relatable characters😃
