Additi Gupta, needs no introduction. she turned up to a fine talented actress who was able to express and emote well with her eyes. Today, Additi has signed on to play Priyamvada of Sangini, a challenging role which explores her acting potential. From Heer, to Pihu, Additi Gupta has improved tremendously in her acting, her expressions are top-notch and dialogue delivery superb. One of her best traits is her ability to emote using her eyes. Today, she is known within the industry to be one of the finest actors, who is not only talented but beautiful as well. As her fan base increases, we would like to take a moment to appreciate her acting and her transition from Heer to Pihu, hence our 11th FC.

 
 
 
Apart from being a wonderful actress, Additi also shares a good rapport with her co-stars. Known to be a bubbly person, who lighten up the mood, she is well-liked by all. Her cheerful nature, bubbly personality, straight-forward honesty has earned her appreciation and respect from both her co-stars and fans for not only her acting ability as a individual as well. Hence, we would like to call her our Pyaar Bubblegum star. Bubblegum term is commonly used to describe something that is cute, bubbly, cheerful, fun, sweet etc. So what more a term do we need to describe our beloved Additi Gupta. Just like a bubblegum, once you have one, you cant stop having more. Additi gupta, Once you start seeing her act, you cant stop loving her.

Pihu, aka Priyamvada from Sanjog Se Bani' Sangini
 Following Zara Nachke Dikha, Additi Gupta signed on as Priyamvada in Zee Tv & DJ Creative unit's latest offering Sanjog Se Bani Sangini, co-starring Iqbal Khan & Binny Sharma. In Sangini, Additi's plays the role of Pihu, a egoistic, adamant girl who falls helplessly in love with, Rudra. Their love story isn't like any other, for Rudra, Pihu was his whole world, the only person in the world who loved him unconditionally, who has been there for him, who has been his companion when the world seemed a lonely place. For Pihu, Rudra was her strength,her weakness, her best friend, her lover, Rudra was her life.  Call it choice, or Destiny, but their love story was a never meant to be, as a small misunderstanding tears this lovers apart.

 Rudra's love defined Pihu, but that same love brought her pain and unhappiness.

Pihu was unable to forget Rudra, at the same time unable to forgive Rudra for his actions. Anger overwhelms her, at the thought of Rudra, but yet love consumes her. In a state of confusion and haste, she agrees to marry Dr Abhay Rai Bahadur, a man who is willing to forget her past and accept her. However, when her past refuses to leave her, Pihu is torn between her love for Rudra and her decision to marry Abhay. As her wedding day approaches fast, Pihu finds herself caught up in the pain, the angst, the fear, the confusion and the answer to the question- who to choice????

 Rudra's blind love for her was her biggest strength and her greatest weakness. Rudra's happiness should lie in Pihu, and she'll do anything to make sure it does. Whether she leaves Rudra or not, She'll never let him leave her, never, no matter what. Why should she????

 

A strange love isn't it? But that's love too, a completely possessive, obsessive love, love that knows no bounds, no limits. Where there is no right or wrong, sirf only pain. Pihu's pain.

Additi Gupta always wanted to do something different from what she has before, something that she has constantly expressed before in her interviews and articles. By signing on the role of Pihu,  it was a perfect opportunity for her to prove herself as a versatile actor. And Additi is making full good use of it. No doubt !!
 

Pihu as an egoistic and confused character has given Additi alot of scope to explore her acting talents. In an industry where there is not much for main-lead heroines to do on, except the usual characterisations of a simple girl who is constantly faced by troubles by society, her family or her in-laws. Such characters are usually faced with 24/6 crying scenes or a how-to tutorials on behaving as a perfect bahu solving everyone's masala no matter what the circumstances are. Something, we have come to fondly call as Saas-Bahu Drama.

 
Well, what can we say, Additi got lucky. When she first started out as Heer, she portrayed the simplicity, intensity and innocence of Heer perfectly to us. A character completely opposite to real additi, AG managed to bring absolute Justice to the character. Now that's what we call "ACTING". Doing something with which you can relate to yourself is easy but going opposite from your personality is "sumthing". N She brought that "sumthing" in kis desh.  Firstly a simple si gaon ki larki, an intense lover n wife n then a mother to 6 years old kid. Or can we fondly say, another saas-bahu character. But, She did it to perfection.
 
 
Following Kis Desh, Both AG & her fans, wanted her to a different role as doing another role similar to heer wud't have given her chance to explore her acting skills. She was perfect as Heer but we can never always have her as Heer, after all Her was just a character. After KDMHD, AG was offered Sangini.  She was given the much needed role of pihu. Which gave her a great chance for her to break the image of Heer and to show her acting powers once again. Pihu is a character with so many shades and complexity within.
 
 
However, AG is giving full justice to Pihu, Her effortless portrayal of Pihu till now has marvelled all. Even with few scenes, she always succeeded in making that scene worthwhile. Her portrayal of Pihu has garnered more appreciation for her and has pushed her in the top actresses of today league.
 
 
 
 
 
So Additi Go Girl,  Show ur power.  We respect Your Decision.

Additi is from Bhopal. She was doing her second year in fashion designing at Symbiosis University. Acting was never on Additi's mind as a career option. But things took a turn and she was chosen to play the main lead of Balaji's 'Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil', after auditioning for it in Pune. Additi have taken a year's break from her studies. She would like to move further in this industry, but she will also continue with her studies as and when time permits. Additi's name wasn't spelled Additi, but Aditi. Due to Ekta's belief in numerology, an extra 'D' was added to her name.
 
  
 
 Journey So Far...
 
 
 
 
 

Additi Gupta first stole our hearts with her beautiful portrayal of Heer from Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil.  Merely 19 years and with her first acting offer, Additi managed to pull off the character of heer with such beauty and simplicity. 

Heer, Ranjha ki Heer, the word itself represents true love, purity and innocence. As Prem's Heer in KDMHMD, Additi became a Heer. A blind lover seeking for true love, proving that no matter the distance, no matter the obstacle, true love will succeed. As the loving elder daughter of Balraj Maan and Teji Maan, she always stood by her parents. & as the protective sister of Meher Maan, she became Meher's parent with the death of Balraj & Teji Maan.  

With KDMDMD gaining more popularity, Star Plus also, began to strongly promote the show and its leads Harshad Chopra & Additi Gupta, who gave numerous special performances and appearances throughout the show's run. Heer and Prem became the beloved jodi of Star Plus winning the Best Jodi Award in SPA2009 & Favourite Yogya Jodi in SPA2008. Additi's portrayal of Heer won her many accolades, garnering many fans all around the world. 

Although KDMDMD ended its run in February 2010, the story of Prem & Heer continued to live amongst the hearts of their fans, remaining as one of the best on-screen jodi in TV history.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
For additi, after Heer and a short break, she came back with a bang on Star Plus Zara Nachke Dikha, a dance reality show based on the concept of battle of the sexes. In Zara Nachke Dikha, Additi Gupta was given the opportunity to be herself, breaking away from Heer. Her friendly nature, and bubbly personality attracted many, winning more fans and friends along the way. With her humour and fun factor, Additi managed to bring much more to Zara Nachke Dikha and all her fans.
 
Special mention to her gorgeous looks, awesome outfits, spell-binding smile and feisty persona, which not only garnered tons of attention and appreciation but also left her fans in awe, including people *fainting*. Although not a trained dancer, Additi had put lots of hard work and tried her level best, and her dance performances during her stint in ZND were well received by her fans and judges. Unfortunately, her dancing stint was short-lived as Additi was tagged in week 7 and there after eliminated from the show in week 8. Nonetheless, Additi left the show with her pride and dignity held up high and with the countless support and encouragement from her fans.
