FV narrates that every Rakhi occasion, he'd do what he could to make sure his 5 daughters don't miss a brother. However, today, the first time, when he sees them so sad on this occasion, he wishes that he had a son as well, who could have done what he couldn't for his daughters, and who could have saved Sandhya from this conspiracy of the Jagirdars. If someone could have seen what was being plotted against her, he might still have been alive. If he had known all this before and stopped the marriage on time... such questions still rankle him. However, while nothing can change what happened while he was alive, Sandhya is alone & helpless like Draupadi, and one can only hope that someone like Krishna comes to her rescue.
Yuvraj tells Sandhya about the rakhi puja
Yuvraj comes in and grumbles to Sandhya that Jyoti & Priya, in the name of Rakhi, have looted him dry 😆 However, he looks up @ her and sees her crying. He asks her about it, and she tells him that she was sad remembering her father. He tells her he won't mention anything that reminds her of it, and that since today is rakhi, they'll first do the puja, and then the breakfast. He tells her that he'll himself come to fetch her. Sandhya feels his hands, and Yuvraj thinks she's very smart, and won't be easy to fool.
Sandhya thinks to herself that this touch indeed was Yuvraj, as was his voice, but the other day, while the voice was his, the touch wasn't. But what's the meaning of this?
MIL sends Shradhya to get a rakhi
Shradhya's mom is sitting sadly alone, and Shradhya comes in and tells her that Abhay, one of the neighbor's sons, came to ask her to tie him a rakhi. His mom also asked her to do it since he was a young kid, and she was embarrassed and didn't know how to tell them that they are accountable for every paisa. MIL goes to the wardrobe & cries, and tells Shradhya that she was remembering her brother. Shradhya tells her that she was remembering her father, and that when she was young, like Abhay, she asked her father who she'd tie a rakhi on, and her father offered his hand, and so she would get her father to accept a rakhi from her, and all her sisters teased her about it. MIL stops crying and comforts her.
She then takes out some cash and gives it to Shradhya, and tells her to go and buy a rakhi and tie it on Abhay. Shradhya asks her about getting into trouble, but she assures her that Rohit doesn't know about it. She tells her to follow what her father taught her, and Shradhya too tells her not to be sad on this day, since her brother would feel bad.
Jayesh's & Aditya's kids celebrate Rakhi together
Savi is on the phone w/ Anand Pawar, and explains to him that he just needs to scare that person (Malati's brother) They agree to meet @ a spot near the bustee.
Savi's daughter asks her when she can tie a rakhi on her brother? Savi tells her that when Yash & Aryan arrive, then. At that moment, Aditya enters the house and says we've arrived, and his kids run in as well. They join their cousins, and Savi remarks that studies are over for the kids 😆 Jayesh invites Aditya to sit, and Adi does, but he seems rather annoyed w/ Jayesh (like the other day)
Savi asks Adi about Sakshi, and he tells her that she's totally swamped w/ the daycare - in fact, has to manage it today as well, which is why he had to bring them (Adi, if you had agreed earlier to one of her suggestions, she'd have been less busy, and less tied up than on this, where kids are involved) Savi asks Adi about his sister, and he tells her that every year, she sends it to him by courier (why not just e-mail it?) Savi sighs that nowadays, everybody's love is expressed on mobeel and massages. Adi is puzzled, and her kids laugh and tease her, saying that it's 'mobile' and 'messages'. (How come Savi's English is so bad, when Sakshi & Sandhya are so fluent?)
They then do the rakhi ceremony of the sister for her 3 brothers, and the kids have fun while doing it - Aryan witholds his gift and demands something in return 😆 The 3 parents enjoy this scene.
Jagirdar puja
At the Jagirdar puja, Sharda, Pankaj and DK sit, while Yuvi's dad is aloof, on the sofa. (Why be in the same room bored?) Pankaj asks DK where Suni is (I don't see Pankaj's wife either here) DK tells him that he hasn't seen her in a while, and he's given her all the chores of the haveli, but is suspicious of what games she might be playing. Yuvi's mom tells DK that she doesn't like Suni working so much - Priya & Jyoti were asking questions, and they don't want them to be suspicious. Also, Suni is a bahu, and this doesn't suit her. DK tells her he had few options, and that this might teach her that there are major consequences to going against the family.
Yuvi is escorting Sandhya, and tells her that he hadn't been fulfilling his promise to be her eyes, but will do so from now. He tells her to turn left, whereas Sandhya recalls that the hallway was on their right. Yuvi takes her left and around the corner, and Sandhya thinks that they could have come straight, so why did Yuvi make her come behind the staircase?
They arrive @ the puja, where Yuvi's mom tells Sandhya about the significance of this puja, and since she is the new bahu, she and Yuvi take centerstage. Now Suni chachi is there too, sitting w/ DK. All 6 of them start the puja
Shradhya & Abhay celebrate rakhi
In Shradhya's home, Abhay & his mom are there, and Shradhya does the rakhi ceremony w/ him. Suddenly, Rohit arrives outside and calls for Shradhya, & MIL goes out and asks him what he needs? He tells her to tell Shradhya to cover her face, and that he had been to a paan shop and found out that she had bought a rakhi. He asks when did her new brother get born? Shradhya overhears this in disgust.
Abhay gives Rs 100 on the arati thali, and he & his mom leave. On their way out, they greet Rohit, who grins @ them (idiotically, if I may add) and MIL tells him that this is his new shala 🤣 while Abhay shows Rohit off his rakhi. Rohit then goes in and asks her where she got the money for that, and she tells him that Abhay's mom gave it to her to buy him one. Rohit can't believe it, but he then notices the money Abhay left and picks it up. His mom scorns him for stealing Rs 100 while being miserly about Rs 10, and Shradhya asks her privately not to make an issue of it. MIL tells her that she never did when it involved herself, but she can't watch this happening to Shradhya. Shradhya tells her that Abhay will manage him, but MIL tells her that none of them will change - not herself, not Rohit and not Shradhya herself.
Savita remembers her father
Jayita are sitting on the bed, and Savita is sad. Jayesh asks her whether she's remembering her dad, and she tells him that while it takes little to make her remember him, today is specially sad since she remembers how Shradhya used to tie a rakhi on him, and how the other sisters made fun of her. She tells him that her father believed that since they had no brothers, each of them had a duty to be a brother & stand up for all their sisters. Jayesh asks her whether she called Sandhya, and she tells him that she doesn't have the courage to talk to any of her sisters regarding their dad. She'll do it in 2 days.
FV notes that while these occasions come & go, they sometimes give rise to sad memories, as well as happy ones. They sometimes bring memories of those who can only be remembered, and sometimes an expectation that the troubles will go as quickly as the occasions themselves. Sometimes, it gives rise to a feeling of guilt when one realizes that the ones they are observing the occasion w/ are all guilty. But regardless, everybody will observe it in one's own way

Malati's brother holds a knife to Savita's throat 😲 as Anand, Jayesh, Kapre & Malati are in front of him. He threatens to cut her throat if they come any nearer.

Liked the spread they gave to the celebrations, but as usual, totally forgot Shreya, except near the end, where they showed her distributing food @ a large party in her home.
Shradhya & her MIL make a good saas/bahu combo - just sad that the hubbies of both are misfits. If Shradhya ever has to leave this marriage, that's one good thing that'll have to come to an end.
Favorite moment was the 4 kids together celebrating. Too bad Sakshi wasn't around, and they didn't come to the part about Savita telling her about the case being dropped, and nothing was mentioned to Adi, probably since the kids - especially his - were around.
Nothing much about the Jagirdars, except that Yuvi continues to play his tricks, while Sandhya's suspicions seem to be growing. In today's puja, Neeraj was conspicuous by his absense - by now, his relationship w/ the family seems all but over.
