Watching Avinash's return today, it seems that he will return with a rough edge and not the loveable Dev we are used to seeing as a Raj Purohit. The leech in the school office making oogly-eyes at Radhika is wearing the same outfit (I think) that they show in yesterday's promo with Godfatherish Mummy Dearest. Hence he may be related to the new family.

Watching the tail end of the show and Avinash's re-entry reminded me of a Bollywood movie (gee, never heard of that concept and the CVs before!) with Amitabh Bachchan, Rakhi and Randhir Kapoor, where Rakhi's Amitabh dies trying to save his wayward brother (RK) and Rakhi has selective amnesia. I don't remember the whole story or the name of the movie. AB returns in another avtaar with an edge and Rakhi gets very upset and avoids him but eventually true Bollywood Ishtyle, everything is hunky-dorey with Rakhi and AB, who is now a changed man.

I don't know if CB will go that route, but Avinash's re-entry is definitely with an edge to his original character. Ladies in the forum will have a field day with "angry" Dev looks! 😃

Gardes: Movie you are referring to is, Kasame Vaade.............One is the Professor

Here is synposis of that movie:

A college professor (Amitabh Bachchan) lives with his younger brother (Randhir Kapoor) whom he loves very dearly. Captivated by his personality, an artist (Raakhee) marries the professor. The professor intervenes in a gang fight between his brother and a villain. In the ensuing scuffle, the professor is stabbed to death. Unable to bear the loss, the family moves out of the city. The younger brother takes up the job of a mechanic where he meets a gregarious young girl (Neetu Singh). Just as when life begins to change for the better, Randhir Kapoor gets a shock of his life when he sees a look alike of his dead brother. Randhir Kapoor immediately approaches the look alike and requests him to masquerade as his elder brother in order to pull his sister-in-law out of her trauma.

I have not seen today's episode yet....so will reserve my response to that later..................

I haven't watched todays show either but I did see ydays and the precap, I think he has got a kshatriya/Rajput look from the Rajpurohit look. No pant, but a dhoti with a long kurta, a kada in hand and a ear ring(?). Like you say gardes, with a 'rough edge'!

I have watched Kasme Vaade and don't remember anything other than one song. yes, am very bad at remembering movies :-)

Avinash will get a good practice to work in Bollywood movies. I am sure he is enjoying the look. Also, they played Sarkar music. So, now he is Dev Sarkar instead of Dev Prasad. Even though my CB is gone along with that divine love, I prefer this Dev to the mopping Dev. If he likes Pataka, he would not feel guilty and cry about it. He will go after her. The villian from C grade movie is now Kanika's relative from teh promo. So, it is circles again. Like last year, the villian brother/cousin will get a beating from Abhay/Dev for looking at Pataka. I will post rest of the thoughts in Misti's thread after I finish watching the serial. I have just seen his Amitabh look. He does look good despite the "C" grade story.

but compared to kasme vade ,where the new amitabh was a totally different personality than present one ,this time it is only dev but with high density brain washing

i mean if CV gonna go the way of actually killing dev ,then show gonna crash ,because it has been hinted many a times in past that person is actually dev ,but as usual we have to wait untill atleast say 1 Month before w get a hint what happened actually

and yes one thing i can predict is that the scool manager ( i don't know what else to say ) will definately turn out to be related to dev ,maybe he will be dev brother in law ( for the time being) and together with his mom or boss may have planned the whole dev->abhay metamorphisis .

And yes i agree dev new entry will be when this Manager will try to molest Radhika for the slap ,and dev will interfere by saving her and giving a good thrashing to the ruffian .Maybe then Dev will not recognize radhika and may think her mad ( if radhika began to cal her dev )

Gardes ... i prefer your story line which would mean that he does not have a wife or kid ... but a changed personality that would cause friction between him and Rads ... so let's see where they go from here

Yes, Avi's look is rocking.
We all wanted to see him rought and tough..
No more white pajamas girls..
He will use his "apun tapun dhakkan" language.. I guess thats why the delhi promo showed it..
As long as he is "Akela goonda" and Radhika is around, I AM FINE.
No matter, how much they fight, hate, make fun, they will be connected..
Atleast this wish can be fulfiled by Kanha for us.
I think Birju might help Radhika here. He is getting decked as a driver, so he may get job for Goonda abhay and Sita-Laxman will take their RAm back to PB nagari..and again we will complain as Goonda avi will have impressed us by then. I like this Radhika better than RP whre day night she would do puja.. Here atleast she ventures out and utters the word "interview".. has got her identity. Vivek has also become mobile and Mrin more funny and shameless.
I love Vaishali also in supporting mother role.

Gardes although I have not watched this movie, the way Dev jumped from the truck reminded me of Amitabh Bachhan. Hopefully he will be able to project the different nuaces of this hard edged character and hopefully it will also challenge him. So best of luck Avinash.

Grades today Dev reminded me of the get of Amitabh Bachchan in coolie no one.and looked like a goonda with his mannerisms So lets see how this Cgrade movie track progresses.And all the earliers negatives beware of this new character they will get a knock on their heads if anyone messes with him.
