Round 8: Alisha Chinai - Page 2

I like the song No entry, but for her singing I ll give her an 8.

For some reason I liked nothing about her singing, leave alone this track. Yes, the film was a comedy one and the track had to be themed like that, but alisha's voice seemed too laboured, too out of sync and far away from "melody". I cannot say anything for Sonu because this song seemed tailormade for him. For some reason, I simply hated this track when it came out and still do not like it, its cheap type lyrics notwithstanding.
But Alisha does have some positives in this like lifting the energy of the song with different sync and adding a bit of laughter, required for a song like this, but sorry, just doesnt cut for me. Could be a bad song selection to blame.
Is this the end of Alisha after this round?

Goshh..the starting howl was weird!! coming to the singing, it is simple. The main emphasis is on the repetitive line "No, No..No Entry", which is sung well, no doubt.  Otherwise, there are no variations. Certain lines are just sung so low that they are just rendered useless. The lines "Koi Jaan Se Gaya.." are sung correctly. So, basically the song has certain low points and high points.

But, by the end, Alisha brings improvement in her throw than the start. This makes things a bit better than the start. Expressions are right, but could have been more enhanced. Won't talk about the bad lyrics or melody of the song. The singing is average for me here.

I would like to give this performance a 7 out of 10.

I really liked all the harkats she added into this song. She does the little things so well to suit her actresses, just that extra flirtatious touch she adds to her voice, well done.

Throughout the song she showed a lot of her singing ability, singing many lines different from how someone would just sing them, using her singing talent to add a little twist in the singing. Though I agree with the Anu Malik comment as well, her voice quality wasn't as good as it is usually is.


Overall, great singing ability, voice quality a bit down, but still good singing. An extra point for the energy and expressions.
