Aakaashvaani in Chitrakoot

Sita: Nath. Aaj maine bada hi vichitra sa swapn dekha hai.

Ram: Kya Site?

Sita: Maine dekha ki Bharatji saare samaaj sahit yahan aaye the. Sabke mukh maleen aur mann dukhi lag rahe the.

Ram: Yeh swapn to shubh nahi dikhai deta. Mujhe Bharat ki chinta hai. Wah hamare virah me rogi bhi ho sakta hai.

(Lakshman comes out of the hut)

Lakshman: Bhabhi! Mai jangal se lakdi le kar ke aataa hun.

Ram: Lakshman. Shighra waapis aanaa. Ham kuchh chintit hain. Sita ne ek duhswapn dekha hai.

Lakshman: Kaisa swapn bhabhi?

Ram: Yahi, ki Bharat dukhi hai.

Lakshman: Use kaahe ka dukh. Uska to ab tak raaj abhishek ho gaya hoga. Raja ban kar aanand se reh raha hoga.

Ram: Tum use nahi jaante Lakshman. Woh mujhe itna adhik sneh karta hai ki us pagle ne raajyaabhishek bhi ro ro kar karvaayaa hoga. Maataa aur pitaajee ki aagyaa se vivash ho kar.

Lakshman: Bhaiya. Aap sabko apne jaisa seedha aur saral samajhte hain. Huh.

(Lakshman then leaves)

Ram: Yeh Lakshman, bachpan se Bharat se ladaai karta rehta hai.

Sita (With smile): Un dono me aapke sneh ke liye spardhaa hai na?

(Ram replies with a wide smile. Bharat starts climbing the hill along with Nishaad raaj, Sumantra and Shatrughna ahead of mothers and gurudev. After some time Lakshman returns anxiously.)

Lakshman: Bhaiya, bhaiya, bhaiya. Bhaiya.

Ram: Kya hua Lakshman?

Lakshman: Woh aa gaya. Apne saath sena bhi laayaa hai. In phoolon ko chhodiye bhaiya. Shastra uthane ka samay aa gaya hai. (And he starts tying his bow and arrow basket) Achchha hua. Woh khud chal kar aa gaya. Aaj mai use jeeta nahi chhodunga.

Ram: Kya baat hai Lakshman? Kaun aa gaya?

Lakshman: Aapka chahitaa Bharat.

Ram (Very emotionally): Kya? Bharat aayaa hai? Kahan hai?

Lakshman: Chitrakoot tak aa gaya hai. Mujhe van me, bheel aur vaalmitron ne aa kar kaha, "Ayodhya ka raja Bharat, apni chaturangini sena le kar Chitrakoot aa raha hai".
Maine swayam ped par chadh kar dekha, to mujhe, sach sena dikhayee di. Apni, Sooryapataakaayen lehera rahi thi. Saath me ghode aur haathi bhi the. Iska arth hai, wo apni poori shakti ke saath, aakraman karne aa raha hai.

Ram: Aakraman? Kis par?

Lakshman: Aap par. Aur kis par? Raajya paa kar, usse raaj ka mad sambhaalaa nahi gaya. Kisi ne buddhi di hogi ki "Moorakh! Is raajya par to asli adhikaar Shree Ram ka hai. Aur Shree Ram prajaa ko pyaare bhi hain. Ek na ek din prajaa tujhse yeh raajyaa chhin kar, Shree Ram ko de degi". Bas. Usne socha hoga, "Is samay dono bhai, van me nihsahaay avasthaa me akele hain. Dono ko samaapt kar, apnaa raaj nishkantak kar lun". (Now getting more and more angry) Use nahi pata tha, ki Lakshman ab tak jeevit hai.

Ram: Kya anargal baaten kar rahe ho Lakshman? Bharat ki buddhi aisi kutil kabhi nahi ho sakti.

Lakshman: Kyun? Kyun kutil nahi ho sakti? Jiski maa ki buddhi itni kutil ho, uske putra ki buddhi kutil kyun nahi ho sakti? Yadi uske hriday me kapat nahi hota, to apne saath haathi, ghode aur sena le kar nahi chalta. Bhaiya. Bharat aapki drishthi me ek saadhu purush ho sakta hai, lekin raaj mad paane ke baad, raaj ka mad kisise saha nahi jaataa. Arre maanav to kya, Indra jaise devtaa bhi raaj mad ke nashe me choor ho kar, uchit aur anuchit bhool jaate hain. Aaj raaj shakti ke nashe ne Bharat ko andhaa kar diya hai. Woh aapko nihsahaay aur besahaaraa samajh kar, aapki hatyaa karne aa raha hai. (Almost about to cry)

Ram: Nahi Lakshman nahi.

Lakshman: Aapko meri saugandh hai bhaiya. Aaj mujhe mat rokiyega. Mai aapke charno ki shapath khata hun. Yadi maine kshatriya kul me janam liya hai, aur mai sachchaa Raghuvanshi hun, to aaj we dono rannkshetra me mere haathon maare jaayenge. Jis tarah ek sinh, hirano ke jhoond ko kuchal deta hai, usi tarah mai uski chaturangini sena ka naash kar dunga. Tabhi mera yeh dhanush dhaaran karna saarthak hoga. Bhaiya, yadi aaj Bhagwan Shankar bhi uski sahaayataa ke liye aa jaay, to mujhe Ram ki duhaai hai, mai Bharat ko jeeta nahi chhodunga.

(Ram was about to stop him when a loud voice from the sky stops him with lightening)

Saavdhaan!!!! Lakshman! Saavdhaan!! Taat prataap prabhaav tumhara; ko kahi sakai ko jaananihaaraa. Tumne Bharat ko maarne ki jo pratigyaa ki hai, use tum nishchay hi pura kar sakte ho. Kintu vedon aur vidvaano ka kehena hai ki manushya ko koi bhi aisa kathor karm karne se pehle uske uchit ya anuchit hone par vichaar avashya kar lena chaahiye. Koi bada aur mahatvapoorn kaarya, bina soche samjhe, akasmaat nahi kar dena chaahiye; jisse pichhe pachhtaanaa pade. Isliye, uchit athva anuchit ki baat soch kar, aur iska parinaam kya ho sakta hai, iska vichaar karke hi yuddh ke liye dhanush uthaao. Kyunki yuddh me sarvadaa, haani adhik hoti hai, labh kam hotaa hai.

Ram: Lakshman. Yeh aakaashvaani suni tumne? Jo uchit aur anuchit ka bhalibhaanti vichaar kiye bina, kisi kaam ko jaldi me karte hain, wo peechhe pachhtaate hain. Mujhe tumhari veerta par, aur tumhare paraakram par kinchit bhi sandeh nahi. Tum krodh ke aavesh me Bharat ko avashya maar sakte ho. Parantu jab tumhe pata lagega ki Bharat par tumhara sandeh mithya tha, to kya tum use jeevit bhi kar sakoge?

Lakshman: Parantu bhaiya, jo aankhon se dikh raha hai, use aap sandeh keh rahe hain?

Ram: Kabhi kabhi aankhon se dekha hua bhi satya nahi hota. Raajmad ka pramaad saadhaaran maanav ko ho sakta hai. Indra jaise devtaa ko bhi ho sakta hai. Parantu Bharat ka sthaan devtaaon se bhi uncha hai. Woh ek mahamaanav ke roop me mahaantaa ki pariseema hai. Jis prakaar khataai ki ek boond se ksheer saagar ka doodh nahi phat sakta; usi parkaar Ayodhya to kya, trilok ka raajya bhi Bharat ko de diya jaay, to bhi use raajmad nahi ho sakta.

Lakshman: Aapke isi saadhupane me hamne apne haath me aayaa hua raajya chhod diya. Saari prajaa aapke saath thi. Aapka ek sanket hota, to prajaa maharaaj ko aapka raajyaabhishek karne par vivash kar deti.

Ram: Aur prajaa ke bal par mai apne pita ka vachan jhootha kar deta Lakshman?Shocked Pita aur putra ka naataa, prajaa ke mataamat se nirdhaarit nahi hota. Isi prakaar bhai aur bhai ke beech faisale, talwaar se nahi kiye jaate. Bharat ko maar kar jis raajya ki tum kalpana kar rahe ho; tanik socho ki uska parinaam kya hoga. Yadi apne bhai hi naa rahe to raajya ke sukh bhog me kya aanand milega? Yadi mere sukh me tum teeno bhaion ka bhaag na ho, to woh sukh mere liye vish ke samaan hai. Aur yadi tumhe raajya ki laalsaa hai, to mai tumhari shapath kha kar kehta hun Lakshman. Mere ek sanket maatra se Bharat woh raajya tumhe de dega. (Slightly losing cool over here and hurt by Lakshman's feelings for Bharat)

(Now last statement & tone of Ramji has to be taken to be a motivating purposeful statement to shape Lakshman's behaviour and thinking desirably since Ramji can't be ignorant about Lakshman's selflessness. He can also never think Lakshman to be greedy but he can only deliberately pretend that to make him realize what mistake he was making in misunderstanding Bharat.)

Lakshman (feeling ashamed for the first time): Nahi bhaiya nahi. Mujhe raajya ki abhilaashaa nahi. Parantu yadi Bharat ke mann me paap hua to? Yadi usne prahaar kiya to?

Ram: To usi ko prahaar karne do. Woh hamaaraa raajaa hai. Ham hamaare raajaa ke saamne shastra nahi uthaayenge.

(And then Bharat approaches)

My view on last two scenes recently posted

Bharat and Lakshman were not ideal brothers by the sense of imposed duty (Formal duty of relation imposed by Shaastra). They were just ideal brothers by the sense of pure love. Or in fact, the 'ideal brothers' tag is inappropriate to them because they were way beyond that identity even. It was natural for them to serve Ram as true servants rather than as younger brothers. And their love lead them many times to breach their other dharmas (Kyunki prem se divya koi niti nahi). Lakshman was even ready to almost kill Keikei and even Dashrath apart from Bharat!!!!! But he didn't. Your all wrong actions become pure if they are devoted to greatest soul due to the intentions behind them; or in a different way, we can say that he can't commit those actions which are not righteous by natural devotion. It all depends upon which soul you choose to love. The fact that they loved Ram, greatest soul and the most noble person on the earth, everything they did became justified. That's why Keikei's soul was only purified because of the misbehaviour of Bharat.

If I am a sensitive guy and greatly love God; then automatically I will love those relatives of mine who love my God just like me and I will hate/dislike those relatives who don't love my God. Here relation according to Shaastra and society doesn't matter. And if that other person who is our relative truely loves us, then he/she will incidentally change his/her nature to love our God (or at least to pretend) to win our heart. Keikei's love for Bharat made her thoughts pure. She was earlier lusty for kingdom and was proudy and was having ordinary thinking and ordinary living. She became noble soul after perfect punishment by perfect person who could have had maximum impact.

When we misbehave with our elders (Either intellectually planned or out of emotional frustration) to divert them to the path of spirituality and devotion; I think and feel we are innocent because our intentions are noble of spiritual upliftment of our relative (when we emotionally do that) and we perform adharm for greater dharm (When we do it intellectually). However, having said that, to qualify the opinion, we shouldn't do it or continue doing that for more than a little if it doesn't look to be an effective tool because it is very very dangerous path of behaviour and serious excuse to find liberty of misbehaving. Greatest devotees can't be imitated intellectually in behaviour because of their level of devotion and innocence infinitely larger.

Bharat was just badly hurt by the damage to the spiritual picture he had drawn of his mother. He was ashamed of Keikei's spiritual downfall. He misbehaved because he was not thinking about his behavioural code of conduct but something above-beyond that. He experienced Keikei's spiritual downfall equivalent to his own downfall because he loved Keikei also. He felt his soul unite with his mother and felt as if he himself did that sin (Since she did that for him as well).

Had Bharat/Lakshman been 'Ideal brother' just by the 'sense of duty' - formal duty i.e. towards elder brother; the times when duties are conflicting, duty towards mother and father would have been bigger dharm than duty towards brother. But they were naturally and automatically duty bound to Ram in two ways -
(1) Love (Sense of informal duty of lover - voluntary)
(2) Supporting truth (As truth was on Ram's side - and supporting universal truth is greater than any social duty)

That sets all other adharmas straight and undebateable. Smile

In fact, with respect to the above two points mentioned, for Bharat and Lakshman, Ram was father, mother & teacher everything. They lived with him only in Gurukul always together. Despite being of same age, Ram with great maturity performed the role of their father, mother and teacher throughout when kids were away from father-mother and had relatively more distance from guru's knowledge considering the grasping level of Ram. And hence, Ram was the source as well as end of all the worldly relations for them.

The brushes and dreamy effects you used in the Lalitha siggie make her look sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pretty and beautiful. Even though the actress herself is stunning, your siggie makes her look more beautiful than ever!Tongue Really love that siggie a lot!
Awww thanks a zillion sweets, what a comment seriously made my week Hug Lol I thought I did a lazy job on that cuz I kept it pretty simple, just relied on the lighting and texture and left brushes out entirely... but now I'm glad I did Big smile I really like her too, she did a beautiful job bringing out the sweetness and sincerity of the character in such few scenes, and doesn't hurt that she's so pretty LOL Thanks again Janu, wuv ya Blushing
And the emotional Ramji one is just amazing, matches with the effects of Mina's Guru sig exactly, love both versions a lot.Clap The pic selection is perfect, as well as the text, that's my fav line from the song. Very very heartwrenching!Broken Heart Can listen to this song over and over, and feel freshly sad as if it is the first time!
Same here, and soooo happy you liked it, thanks again Hug Lol I cheated, took the raw version of the Guru one that I still had saved and just copied each and every step LOL But again, glad I did!!
As for the Angad siggie, awesome job with it!Clap The style and blending is so creative and unique, love it! I have snagged all three (Lalitha, Ramji, and Angad) into my slideshow, cannot stop gazing at them! Amazing work on the rest as well, you really outdid yourself.Clap
Awww thank you sooooo much sweetcakes, that's the one I was all worried about cuz the pics I took were pretty blurry and I thought it was all too orange... but you and your sweetness.... luv ya again Hug
Btw, guess what? I managed to update my slideshow and delete a lot of old sigs so that even with the latest new ones added in, I now only have 150 siggies!Dancing It wasn't as hard as I thought once I actually put my mind to it.LOL And I also moved around my siggies to make it look like a new slideshow, and put all my non-mythos first since there're so little of them compared to the mytho, that people who want to see only them don't have to wait an eternity.LOL Looking forward to the new slideshow req from you! If you don't mind, please do post it in my shop again, as it's easy to go back to.Embarrassed
Lol brilliant idea, methinks I shall ask you to do the same with mine! Still having trouble watching the whole thing to eliminate some and make room, will keep trying though... wish me luck LOL

@ Debi di - thank you sooooo much for all the appreciation di, you're tooooooo sweet Hug Waise appreciate karne laayak to kuch kiya hi nahin, dialogues to RSji ke hai... but phir bhi aapka pyaar milta hai to maza aa jaata hai, so plzzzz keep it coming Wink j/k LOL Eagerly looking forward toyour input on the content of the dailogues, Bharat Milaap par yeh "marathon" shuru karne ki prerna aap hi se mili so thanks for that also Clap And don't worry at all about replies, hum sab to yahin par hai... and now when school starts I'm gonna be the one procrastinating at the CC, so no worries we all have our moments... it's quality not quantity that counts, and every word you post here is golden so again, no need to apologize... love you di Hug And on a related note, the exchange you and Janu have been having here and at her shop is sooo adorable, really been a delight to read... I feel like teasing you guys with the Bharat Milaap spoof dialogue from Andaaz Apna Apna but I think I'll spare you for now LOL

@ Janu - forgot to say, I also LOVE the Jatayu sig you posted, really touching and beautiful Cry You made perfect use of those lyrics!!! Needless to say, it'll def be in the list Wink

@ Gunu - lolz verryyyy happy you enjoyed that Viraat Swaroop pic sooooo thoroughly behna LOL In fact I made it on pixlronly, just cropped very very carefully... but wowwwwzzz look what you did with it... such a divinely gorgeous siggie, love it like anything Day Dreaming Reminds me of the circular style I've been using all over my shop, but you used it even more creatively with the three rows of pics... awesome work, this "sumiri Siya" series is turning out to be a big hit... can't wait to see more, keep it coming ClapClapClapClapClap And very very glad you liked the sigs I posted behna, your sweetness inspires me to make more and more.... thanks a bazillion Hug

@ Shivang - thank you soooo much for continuing our "Bharat Milaap series" bhaiya, and your inputs so far are sooooo beautifully expressed... agree word for word, as always ClapClapClapClapClap Like I jsut told Janu in the previous post, scenes like these which highlight the bhakt's innocence really touch me Day Dreaming There, Sita's words for Sumant when he tries to take her back to Ayodhya and later a couple of her Ashok Vatika moments also tie in. Aur Jesus ne bhi aisi hi kuch kaha tha, that to enter the kingdom of heaven we must become childlike in spirit... we should have a whole discussion on this topic some time, I'm loving it!! Also really touched by your explanation on Bharat's behavior towards Kaikeyi, that oneness he feels on account of loving her so much is what causes all the guilt and anger and frustration... it takes all the kadvaahat out of the dialogue you started with from when he first returns to Ayodhya, and all of their seemingly rough exchanges that follow... "maa bete ka hai is jag mein bada hi nirmal naata, poot kupoot sune hai padna maata suni tu maata" line aata hai na, Maa ki aarti mein? In this case it's backwards kyunki maa ki galtiyaan beta sunta hai but either way, nirmal naata hi hai... thanks for this gem of an insight bhaiya, love it and can't wait for more!!!

Here are the translations for Shri Krishna's naming ceremony song sequence, which Shivang bhaiya had originally posted here: http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=1311014&TPN=102 Enjoy, and hope they help with the siggification of the pic update that's coming in the next post Tongue

Here's a vid of all the songs back-to-back:

(Just before naming Krishna, Garg seeing his child form for the first time)

Baal roop dekhen jo Kanhaai, seeing the child form of Lord Krishna,
Munivar ne sudh budh bisaraai; the sage lost track of his surroundings
Harash apaar hriday na samaaye, his heart couldn't contain the immesne rush of joy
Nayanan me aansoo bhar aaye. it filled his eyes with tears

Antar gati jo bhayee lakhi swaami, his state of mind upon seeing his master
So jaanat bas antaryaami; could only be known by the Master Himself

Kaise abhinandan karen? "how shall I greet you, Lord?"
Muni kachhu samajh na paaye; the sage was lost in this confusion
Dekhi dasaa nij bhakt ki, seeing his devotee's condition,
Prabhu mann me musakaaye; the Lord smiled within his heart
Prabhu mann me musakaaye.

(After completing Naming ritual)

Shakti kahan jo mai kahun, tumharo sujas apaar;
who am I to describe your endless glories, where do I have the strength for it?

Tadapi kripa mo pe kari, tum Prabhu param udaar;
even then you poured your grace on me, how generous of you Lord

Tum Prabhu param udaar.

Shaarad sugun gaavat na paavat, paar Shambhu Uma Rama;
Saraswati herself cannot sing your praises enough; it's even beyond Shiv, Parvati, and Lakshmi Maa

Dhyaave Ganesh, Suresh, Shesh, Trilok det parikramaa.
Ganesh, Indra, and Sheshnaag constantly meditate on you, and the three realms revolve around you
Nahi shakti nahi saamarthya, mai matiheen he Purushottama;
I have neither the strength, nor the capacity... I'm but a mindless creature, o Lord
Nij sharan lije, bhakti dije, dosh truti kije kshama;
Take me in your refuge, grant me the gift of devotion, and forgive my faults and failings
Dosh truti kije kshama.

(Stuti by Narad after Naming ritual)

Tha ab tak Vaikunth me, mangalmay jo naam;
That auspicious name which thus far, was only heard in the heavens

Prithivi par laaye use, munivar tumhe pranaam;
We bow to you, Sage, for bringing it to this earth
Rishivar tumhe pranaam.

Garg Bhagirath ban tum aaye,
Garg, you acted as Bhagirath for us
Krishna naam ki Ganga laaye,
In bringing down the Ganga of Krishna's blessed name
Krishna naam ki Ganga laaye.

Krishna Krishna Krishna, Krishna Krishna Krishna;
Krishna Krishna Krishna, Krishna Krishna Krishna.

Ho o o
Bhumi par, gagan par, vishwa me nirantar;
On the earth, in the skies, throughout the universe forever and ever
Gunjataa rahega Krishna naam.
Shall the name of Krishna resound
Krishna Krishna Krishna, Krishna Krishna Krishna;
Krishna Krishna Krishna, Krishna Krishna Krishna.

Chahe pralay aaye, duniya mit bhi jaaye;
Even if the apocalypse comes and destroys the world,
Mit nahi sakegaa Krishna naam.
The name of Krishna will remain indestructible
Krishna Krishna Krishna, Krishna Krishna Krishna;
Krishna Krishna Krishna, Krishna Krishna Krishna.

Krishnaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Krishnaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
