Vansh Vinashak

I have been reading updates and other posts... and it got me thinking, the parallel between his background & Radhika's... just like Radhika was brought up with "Ganda khoon", "manhoose" etc. in her case it was Amma's words... but to balance it out, she had love of mother & esp. the father who she tried to emulate... but if Shantanu grows up knowing that his mother knowingly gave him away.. that he is Vansh Vinashak... then he sees Dev, the golden boy.. all that should have been his by his birthright... mother's & grandmother's love.. all the wealth... everything handed to him on a platter, while you had to work hard to bring yourself up, knowing that your mom gave you away...

Aviation very good point.......Shantanu for me is a grey character.....I have also mentioned this in my todays ishtyle post.........if a baby is given up by his own mother and that child grows up knowing that his mother abandoned him because he is supposed to be a destroyer.........that child will have emmense resentment in him towards his mother, the birth family....However young or old we are it is our mothers whom we turn to in times of need and being betrayed by your own mother is one of the worst things any person can experience..........it shakes the very basis of ones belief in human beings. He also resents Dev because he is the favourite son....the apple of his mothers eye, which he was never...........infact his mother thought that he is the cursed one. Shantanu did not have Radhikas strong faith to pull him through the growing up years. I won't say that Devki was a mother in the true sense .....she manipulated Radhika a lot for her own needs and is still doing that. .....if she was trully a mother then she would have told everyone the entire truth regarding the first wedding which she still has not done.......whereas babuji although a righteous man, let the abuse happen and now his holier than thou attitude is irritating me a lot......It is Radhikas faith that has pulled her through and has made her into a human being. Shantanu did not have that........he was fed on hate........infact Radhika told this to Vaishali today that although the nurse brought him up, he was told for childhood that he was unwanted by his own family.........

As for how Dev will react.........for that I am again coming to another circle theory😉....remember last year Devs reaction when he realised that Vaishali does not want Dev to get married to Radhika...he was prepared to walk out........I think we will see the same circle.......there Radhika was prepared to leave for Dev...here she will fight for Dev. I can't help it if the creatives are hell bent on showing the circles.......I want them to take a straight path......also if the TRPs are good they might show Dev forcing Vaishali to accept Shantanu as her son...like she had to do regarding Radhika.

I agree guys.. but still it got me thinking today.. I am sure Radhika is some core has empathy for Shantanu.. would her dharma allow her to stay RP knowing that Shantanu is the oldest son? Yes, Dev was made RP against his will, but it was always ordained as his after Vivek's accident (though why that should be in this day & age is beside the point).. also, would Shantanu had been Vanash Vinashak if he had been brought up within family rather than thrown out? Is Vaishali right in doing what she did? There was another post talking about whether Dadi knows, and here I am praying that she didn't.. I don't want creatives to ruin her character... Also, today by law 1/3 of RP property belongs to Shantanu... if he is child of Senior RP....

Aviation, I do not think the CVs will be bring Vishaka anytime soon. Now the track will be Shantanu, Vaishali, Radhika and DEv. I just hope that CVs keep RaDEv strong......and not mess with their character. They have been showing Radhika's growth recently and hope they show for Dev too.
This is an interesting track and if they handle it well we all will be happy.......

I saw the same parallel as you regd Radhika being orphaned by the birth parents and Shantanu being orphaned too. I would have liked to see some kind of expressions from Radhika regarding that parallel, but I didnot see any in todays episode.

There is again a circle there (in mishti's language) like how Arjun's grandfather could not become an RP, 3 generations down, Shantanu could not become an RP in the RP lineage.

I too would like some real drama with lot of emotional conflicts rather than they wrap this storyline with some 2-3 episodes like they have been doing lately with ploughing episode, with Dev being aquitted etc etc. These sub-plots were not really long enough. I too wish they show the grey areas rather than go all black-n-white.

I agree. I already said it in another post: i know that what shantanu is doing is wrong but can you really blame the guy. If you tell someone that his mother abandoned him cuz she thought he was a curse its natural that he will become bitter and will feel anger against his mother. And shantanu was just a child when he was told all these things. I hope that he will become positive and for the first time in a very long time i'm thinking that the cv's will maybe show a good storyline.

I hope the creatives will not ruin this interesting story line, though by bringing back Vishaka, looks like they will... they will make Shantanu a black-black character... rather than someone is looking for acceptance from his family and acknowledgement from his mother, that yes he has a rightful place in the family..

Bee that is what I have been thinking for the past week or so......what if Dev is the adopted one? That will make it even more interesting.........that is if the creatives don't again mess it up.

For me too, Shantanu doesn't look older than Vivek either by the looks of the actor or by the earlier information which makes Vivek around 30yrs old and Shantanu was born 28yrs ago.

About the Dadi part, I am pretty sure no one in the family other than Vaishali knew that a live child was born to Vaishali 28yrs ago. (This I gathered from todays episode).

Also, in todays episode, Vaishali says that some guruji cursed her and there were things happening bad happening in the family around the time of that child birth that she believed - if a child before being born can have such an ill effect then he definitely is going to have more havoc once he is born and hence will become vansh vinashak.

yes, you are right, when they have such things like kshamavrat etc written in RP book (which of course Vaishali was not aware of), but there def would have been some pooja of sorts written in that book to ward off the curse of this child if Vaishali really really wanted the child. Some people really do dumb things to please socitey and Vaishali definitely has done this before.
