I know there is a lot of disagreement about this couple and it will probably end in a deluge of tears (their background music alone suggests heartbreak) but for the time being I'm enjoying what I see and so rarely do you see a potrayal of young love that is so winning. Most young couples tend to be annoying and off putting, prime example being Kaddu-Sandeep. Probably cos they are self-centred and weak. But Hiten and Khemi are mature and selfless. And they are well suited. I can't help thinking poor Ramesh or Manesh or who ever it was DM initially arranged for Khemi to marry had a lucky escape. Poor guy would have ended up hen-pecked by Khemi. And as for Hiten, in all probablity, he would have ended up with a spoilt, rich girl like Kaddu, not really someone who would have been able to handle his grumpiness and idealism. Anyway they are both cute and likable and sweet both together and individually and just wanted to say that, no matter how it all ends. 😊

Hi BC,
Your description of Hit-Mi is quite true.... But I belong to the 'no Hit-Mi' camp, so sorry... I am not able to appreciate their 'cuteness'... They just eat into SanRaj time😆

But their characters have been developed well in the story... I just hope it ends soon one way or another so that we can get back to SanRaj!

That's not a bad thing. Cos in the other BT shows I've watched too much focus on the lead pair and not enough development of other characters lead to serious problems in the show. In the end the shows just became a never-ending cycle of the lead pair being broken up and then re-uniting because they didn't know how else to create drama in the show. And since they created a situation where no one cared about the other characters, the lead couple only had a brief moment of happiness before some huge problem came their way. The more time they take to develope San-Raj and to develope secondary characters, the better it will be in the long run for the show. No show can sustain itself for a long period by just focusing on two characters.

BC this has happened with quite a few shows, only difference being that along with the ups and downs of a side couple's story, the lead couple would also be drastically affected.. The development of these secondary characters and inturn Sanraj development can be done in a better way, is what i feel. For me, with Hiten-Khemi getting together, its the end of their individual character development.. Whatever 'development' they have will be as a couple only.. And both Hiten and Khemi are two brilliant characters, with their own niche in the show. I dont think, that their characters should be sacrificed, just for the sake of bringing a young love story into the show. They already have that with Kaddu-Sandy.. My only point is why does the story of the secondary characters as well revolve only around the Mahiyavanshi-Waghela families. You can bring in new characters and thus explore further dimensions in the show right? For example, Hiten can have a well educated, strong willed and yet nice/down to earth bride who is not Santo's sister. it would be interesting to see how Santo gets on with her? Khemi can get out of the village, be more independent, achieve her goals on her own right?? That is the reason, why I am not that fond of the hiten-Khemi track. It seems to be the most predictable and if you will forgive my choice of words, redundant track as well...

P.S- I do realise, i have said quite a lot here, please dont take any of this personally, its all in the spirit of the show and a good debate...

BC, you have put your thoughts very well. This is the way I fell about it, pitfalls you may call:

1. Relationship backgrounder makes it fuzzy..., I know the next thing fingers will be pointed out at DM-Santo relationship, here.prolly we are accepting it, becos of the actor who is potraying the role. And the other thing is just the huge age difference.

2. The timing is not right. Right when the lead protagonists are the process of shaping their relationships forward, they have inserted this one. It is really a distraction , when people eager about this lead pair, and are wondering whats going to happen...so even interms of interrest level, its dropping.

3. Why cant there be any other relationshhip between hIT-ME..this seems like I would fall in love with any boy who would come stay with me. It is very contrived.
