Vikrant has entered Balika Vadhu as Shyam and we all hope Shyam brings a new joy to everyone's life.We would love to call Shyam as kesariya balam....
Sugna ka Kesariya Balam😳
The sobriquet Kesariya Balam suits Shyam perfectly as the to-be love of Sugna's life.
Sugna has lost her lover,her husband and since thn, her life is dull. She deserves happiness as well and wid Vikrant entering the show, we hope he turns out to be the one to bring the much-lost happiness back to her life.
Kesariya comes frm the word "Kesar" for Saffron- an exotic spice used for various purposes. The word kesariya signifies a lot. Kesar, when used in delicacies adds an exotic flavor to the dish and enhances the richness of the delicacy. It adds a beautiful color to anything that it is mixed with. Its use in the preparation of sweet dishes makes them irresistible.
As Sugna's kesariya balam, don't we hope to see Vikrant as Shyam in a similar manner? Adding beautiful colors to her life and enriching her life just by his mere presence..Wont we like to see Shyam being one with Sugna in her thoughts, understanding her and to become an inseparable part of her life in a way that she never realizes that he wasn't there once upon a time? Just as kesar dissolves completely being one with anything that it is added to. How adorable it will be to see Shyam bringing back that sparkle to Sugna's eyes!
Also, The connotation kesariya balam cud be attached to the customs in olden day Rajasthani Rajputs when the concept of Jauhar and Saka was prevalent. Jauhar and Saka refer to the voluntary deaths of men and women of the Rajput clan in order to avoid capture and dishonour at the hands of their enemies. The term jauhar is extended to describe the occasional practice of mass suicide carried out in medieval times by Rajput women and men. Mass self-immolation by women was called Jauhar.
This was usually done before or at the same time their husbands, brothers, fathers and sons rode out in a charge to meet their attackers and certain death. The upset caused by the knowledge that their women and younger children were dead, no doubt filled them with rage in this fight to the death called saka.
Men at such times of Saka, wore completely saffron robes, Kesariya- signifying sacrifice. So, kesariya balam for a girl would definitely represent her man who is brave,fearless and ready to fight for his loved ones.
As Shyam, we wud love to see Vikrant supporting Sugna in her dreams and desires to study and also later on fight the old customs followed and marry Sugna eventually.😳 Fearless and brave to stand for the cause of widow-remarriage and do wat he believes in. To fight for Sugna,if needed.😳
Two beautiful aspects combined together makes the concept of Kesariya Balam mesmerising. 😃😳Wudn't we all love to see Vikrant in a role like this?
Oh well!! There's another quality of kesar- despite all of its beautiful qualities, an excessive dose of kesar produces a deathly narcotic effect and can be fatal in some cases!😉
Here is a pre-warning for all females here! 😉 An excessive dose of Vik cud be fatal too!! 😆Dnt tell me later that I didn't warn u against his charming presence onscreen! 😆
