Billo Masi- Aadesh's and Manali's matchmaker. She is funny, but negative.
Kripa Khanna (Aadesh's Mom)- She was shown as negative, but is lately postitve. She has been replaced.
Aathvan Vachan is a show about a budding couple, Aadesh and Manali. Manali comes from a middle class background, and lives with her parents, brother/bhabhi, and sister. Manali's sister Urmi is mentally challenged, and has the brain of an 8 year old. After many problems, Aadesh and Manali get married. Urmi comes with Manali to her sasural, thus creating many problems. Urmi gradually gets used to her new environment, and Aadesh/Manali enroll her in school. After many ups and downs she is succesful in school. The teacher treats Urmi very badly, and constantly humiliates her. Kripa starts acting nicely towards Urmi after Urmi gets Aadesh an important deal. It is revealed Kripa is re-married. A man harasses Urmi's friend, Piyush. The man turns out to be none other than Aadesh's dad, who is indeed alive. Urmi is put in jail, but afterwards she is put on bail. Kripa's second husband comes, and she introduces him as her younger brother. Urmi tries to prove her innocence, causing Manali to investigate. On the eve of her birthday, she reaches Kripa's old residence, where she finds Aadesh's dad. Aadesh and Urmi arrange a surprise party for her, while she's gone. Aadesh's dad strangles Manali to death. The police come and say she has died in a car accident. Everyone is shocked, and upset because Manali died on her birthday. Everyone is mourns over Manali's death, and Aadesh in a fit of anger, tries to get rid of all of Manali's memories. Urmi's bail expires and she has to go back to jail... Aadesh burns all of Manali's memories. Aadesh eventually bails out Urmi. Aadesh and Urmi are across each other on the road, and a car comes and sends Urmi rolling on the road. Urmi is in the hospital, but recovers quickly.Recently it is shown a new character named Bua Ji has enetered the show, and she is very strict. She doesn't like Aadesh and Urmi's closeness, and tries to persuade Aadesh to stay away from Urmi. She tries her best to persuade him, but he doesn't listen. Aadesh surprises Urmi by inviting her friends over. Urmi tells them how she meets Manali at night. When all of her friends are leaving, the topic comes up, and all the parents get mad at Aadesh, and say he should tell Urmi the truth, and not lie to her. Aadesh gets furious and blasts at them, telling them never to come over again. Urmi is upset, and eventually she wants to change herself. Kripa tells her she can start by getting ready for bed. Aadesh has come important business clients over, and Urmi embarasses him in front of everyone. Neelam takes Urmi aside, and tells Urmi she is a big problem for everyone. Urmi is upset because of Neelam's cruel words. Urmi decides to ask Bua Ji for help. Bua Ji says she will help Urmi change, but she will have to pass a test first. Bua Ji's first task for Urmi is for her to sleep alone, by herself. Urmi completes the task. Bua Ji's next task for Urmi is she has to tidy up her room daily, and get dressed by herself. Aadesh secretly helps Urmi, and Urmi is upset because Bua Ji will be mad if she finds out. Urmi eventually comes down, looking horrible. Bua Ji makes Urmi walk properly, in high heels! Bua Ji teaches makes Neelam show Urmi how to wear her make up, and wears sindoor. Kripa is stunned and yells at Urmi. She makes Urmi take it off. Urmi is upset because of this. Bua Ji calls the tailor and gets salwar suits made for Urmi. Mr. Shastri comes with a few photos for Aadesh, for his next marriage, upsetting Aadesh. He says no, and remembers Manali. Kripa tells him to move on in life, and forget the past. Urmi puts everything she has learned together, and gears up in an awesome new look! Her face isn't shown yet, but she looks ravishing. Aadesh comes back from the office, and Urmi gets mad at him because he doesn't praise her new look. They patch up and decide to go out to eat. Everything goes smootly, until on the way to the car. Aadesh gets a phone call and Urmi continues walking, thinking she's walking with Aadesh. She realizes she's walking with a stranger, who misbehhaves with her. Aadesh saves her and they go home. Urmi spends the night crying in her room because Aadesh is furious. Aadesh takes away all of Urmi's new clothes. Urmi comes down wearing her old clothes, much to the shock of Bua Ji. Aadesh says from now on he will make all the decisions regarding Urmi. Aadesh and Urmi eventually patch up, and embrace, much to the shock of an evesdroping Kripa. The next day it is Tarun's birthday, and Neelam and her friends throw him a surprise party. Neelam tells Urmi its an "adults only party" so she can't come. Urmi says she's 18 so she can come. Neelam's friends mock her and tell her she looks/acts/talks/just like an 8 year old. Urmi takes her new clothes from Bua Ji's bed. Aadesh and Urmi go to the party together, looking like a very cute couple. Neelam's friend shows Kripa a picture of her cousin, and says she will be perfect for Aadesh. Neelam and her friends instigate Urmi against Aadesh, say he's stupid. Neelam instigates Urmi to get revenge from her friend. Urmi goes upto them and yells at them, much to the shock of everyone at the party. Aadesh apologizes on Urmi's behalf, and Urmi runs to her room crying. Aadesh and Urmi make up! Aadesh finally agrees to meet Priya. Kripa gets a call from an old friend, Mr. Ahuja, who says they will visit soon. Priya is mean to Urmi, and Urmi runs away. Urmi meets Mr. Ahuja's daugter, Sneha. They befriend each other, and Urmi sees Manali in Sneha. Aadesh and Priya cancel their rishta due to Priya's hatred towards Urmi. Aadesh tells Urmi about his "best friend" before Manali, who is coincidently Sneha. It is revealed Sneha was Aadesh's old flame, but they seperated because Sneha was to marry someone else. Aadesh is crushed. Urmi tells Aadesh, Sneha (her new friend) is outside. Aadesh is shocked, but unaware Sneha is Urmi's friend. Aadesh and Sneha meet, and are shocked to see eachother. It is revealed Sneha is a widow, mourning over her dead husband, Sameer. Sneha gives Aadesh the cold shoulder. Urmi decides to bring Aadesh and Sneha together, at any cost. She calls both of them, forcing them to unknowlingly meet at a park. Aadesh waits at the park, and sees Sneha. Aadesh asks for Sneha to forgive him, but she declines. After a lot of trouble, Urmi hatches a plan to Aadesh and Sneha go to Panchgini together, to buy some land. Urmi makes Aadesh go, and at the last minute pretends to sprain her ankle. She forces Aadesh and Sneha to go anyways. A couple of men tell Sneha, Aadesh's company is going downhill, and she should place the bid on her own. Sneha ignores them. Aadesh and Sneha place the highest bid, getting the land. Sneha tells the men, despite being enemies, she and Aadesh are good business partners.
