Bani did not trust Jigs before, she just did never answer her back or fight back.  Jigs would threaten her, openly display her hatred,openly manipulate and separated JB, and Bani just stood there like a helpless, statue.   She never showed any hatred, any anger, any revenge, nothing at Jigyasa.    It was almost like Bani had this respect for her, not as a person, but as an elder in the family or maybe Bani did not want to create waves in the family by fighting back.   Just the same way that her bahus don't talk back at her.   Rashi heard Jigyasa saying to Ranvir saying that he could get rid of her after the kid is born, and Rashi did not do a thing.  No one, even Jai and Masi and Aditya, talk back at her.  Masi knew that Ranveer and Jigyasa were trying to dupe Jai, but she never said anything.  No one till today knows that Ranveer made Jai sign those documents.  She keeps on rantering and lying and manipulating and everyone just stands there dumbfounded.  That's exactly where the problem lies, she gets away with it.

As for this time around, Bani really had no choice but to believe Jigyasa.   Bani went through the trauma of getting burnt to near death, lost her identity, her memory,  thought Baba was her protector, went to WH with a different face, not to mention facing a person who wanted to kill her as soon as she found out that she was Bani -- Meera.  Bani really was all alone  -  she had no choice but to trust the devil.   Jigyasa saved her, Baba was really Jigyasa's friend, if this time Jigyasa had not pretended to stand behind Bani, maybe Meera would have got rid of her.   Maybe Ganga would have got married to Pratyush (not that that would have been a bad idea it would have served Ganga right)👏👏.   As for having told JW that she was Bani, you know the Walia's they don't know how to keep a secret, it would have spread like wildfire and Meera would have once again got rid of her and Bani would not have been able to reform the children.  Not in a million years would JB have teamed together and exposed Meera.
