Are female singers better than male singers?

I think females have a better voice than males generally.

Just look at the top Indian singers.

Overall females are better singers and they have better voices too. Then I don't know why females don't get as many votes as males in music competitions like saregamapa, star voice of india, etc.

Matter of personal preference.

Normally the males love to  listen to female singers and vice versa I think; especially for the younger generation.
