its kind of creepy, when Jetha flirts with her infront of her husband.🤢 Shameless both of them. I am waiting where Iyer gives her a piece of his mind.😡

This is the question even I wanted to know the answer. Irrespective of different eating habits and difference of taste I wonder why is Daya the best cook of all. She cooks only Gujarati food. The food must be delightful but calling her Annapurna wehn all the women do the same job is such a biased thing to do.

the other day, they showed that episode on janganana. Notice?, everywhere they went, they were served only snacks. But the gujarati lady gave them a full-on gujarati meal. So very thoughtful and generous! The other ladies couldn't think beyond snacks.

I find it hilarious when the teachers and the principal address them with their pet names and not their full names. 🤪
Regarding jetha, earlier when champak and sundar used to trouble jetha, I used to get irritated but now I feel he deserves this. There should be somebody who should also do jetha's bolti bandh otherwise this guy crosses his limit in mocking people. I agree with the message this show is giving that we shouldn't underestimate or look down upon uneducated people because they too are as smart and intelligent as educated ones but in this show,everything ooltah is happening.All the educated people are mocked,underestimated and looked down upon while people like daya and jetha are given more respect than iyer and bhide.
And I really hate babita. After champak, she's one more hypocrite. Her husband fulfills all her wishes,always keeps her happy, spends lakhs of money in booking flight tickets and hotel in Hong Kong(whereas others went for free),missed his flight but still sent babita to Hong Kong( I don't think jetha could have sent daya to Hong Kong if he would have missed his flight) but what does babita do to him? She claims to be in love with iyer but doesn't even allow iyer to hug her.She doesn't mind if jetha interferes in her and iyer's personal life.She doesn't mind if jetha mocks iyer by saying, " scienis hoke bhi aapko yeh karna nahi aata,woh karna nahi aata."She feels bad if iyer corrects jetha's pronunciation but doesn't mind jetha pronouncing scientist as scienis.

the show was realistic earlier, but now its become too far fetched. Everybody is Mr.goody-two-shoes. Even thats not a problem. They want to spread good messages. Why this bias about one particular family? And that too it is not at all a correct representation. I stay in Mumbai, a hub where we have south-Indians, Gujaratis, Maharashtrians, Punjabis and one Bengali.

Ofcourse the Gujrati cuisine is delightful, but so is Punjabi, so is Punjabi. Infact I love South_indian food. My point is why only Daya cooks great food, whereas all other cuisines are not even mentioned.My best friends are Punjabi and Maharashtrian. I had food at their place several times. Punjabi food everybody knows aboutBut the simple veg Maharashtrian food is also totally yummy. Infact bcz of my projects, i have to go all over Maharshtra, and I can vouch Mahrashtraian food everywhere is different. They have so much variety. And to contrast, where ever I went in Gujrat, the thali everywhere was same. This is not to belittle dears gujjus. Our group is full of them and they are really sweet people, but in the serial, they are depicted as the only ones with an allround sense.

If anybody hasbeen around Soth-Indians, well they are all mostly academically oriented and abreast about all topics. One Jetha insulting Iyer is just too much to digest. Punjabis are really full of life and the real dildar people.Even Mahaarshtrians are academically oriented and very simple down to earth people. Jetha is not even half of what Bhide is, but again, Jetha keeps on making fun of Bhide.

I know its a serial. But continuously hammering this non-sense on our heads. I stopped watching this biased serial. The worst is Bhampak-Champak. The hypocrite. They have tried to model him on Gandhiji. What a joke. They themselves have not understood Gandhiji. And second thing I hate is the importance given to only one child, in front of all other kids. Not good at all. Go, watch Tare zameen par, if not anything else. Tell me, which school principal will address a group as "tappu Sena"? Even we, in our building have a group and we have named it on our building's name, not some one individual. what crap! About Jetha and Babita, I have a feeling, Babita stays married to Iyer, because she wants to stay in GD and enjoy Jetha's flirting. Iyer, has no function in her life otherwise.

Thanks for this post-really echoed with my thoughts.Hate all serial makers& film makers-I am a south india proudly but have no diction like they show-infact i speak much better hindi than most north indians put together(in all dialects).So yes belittling s indian as idli sambar,Hairless bhide as Taklu ujda chaman,etc...is really irritating.& yes rightly pointed Gujrathi food is same all over-Maharashtrian cuisien,south indian ciusine,are so diverse-We dont eat idli & sambar daily-there are dosa,vada,ragi roti,jowar roti...endless.Same goes with Maharashtrian cuisine-Sardars are very fun loving yet down to eart as you said-maharashtrians are also very intelligent but don't show off-What is there in show off about a dance,thali,& some nonsense-i hope you get it!!

Which school(even montessory)even pune remembers children names-even though they are naughty,etc...principal also -

And as for Babita she wants the best of both worlds-comforts from iyer,compliments from Jetha-Also she suports Jetha endlessly over Iyer!!!!Which husband will like this???

Bhide& his wife are the realistic couple from day one-struggling for making ends meet yet respect for each other is as high as the sky-they sacrifice each other's happiness for the other,never disrespect each other/put down each other in public.Their little nok-jhok are too sweet.Why not make this humble realsitic couple star of few episodes rather than making the maha mahan Gad afamily-where Jetha always shouts,disrespects his wife but wants 65 bhog,hot water,tea,even towel ready anytime!Bapuji bullies everyone using his age,Dya & her nonstop nonsense,Tappu & his horrible overgrown antics...

You are absolutely right. Bhides are really sweet people. About Marathi people not showing off, I have an incident. My Sindhi friend, a very pretty girl, got married to a brahmin Marathi boy. Before marriage she used to always say, their home is so simple, they have almost no furniture etc. Her boyfriend never used to take her to fancy hotels etc. Now when I met her, just the other day, she was all praises for the family. She said that the entire family is so highly educated and that education shows in their behavior and attitude. She is blessed to have such forward thinking in-laws !! She said its not that they don't have money, but they don't believe in spending on useless things.

And since I have literally grown up with south indians, i know for a fact that they are very forwards thinking as well.

I don't mind watching Gadas over others, simply bcz Jetha is a mind blowing actor, so is Champak. But the stretched hypocrisy in their characters is unbearable. I especially cant stand that Champak.

How dare he interfere between husband and wife?? He has a separate place for himself, why does he sit on that sofa when Jetha and Daya want privacy for their sweet nok jhonks in the mornings? Wasn't he ever married? Doesn't he understand this much? Also he insults Tappu's father in front of Tappu. What respect is Tappu going to have for his father? Champak insists on being respected by Jetha, but is he teaching Tappu to respect his father? Which wife will like her FIL scolding her husband as though he is a 5 year old kid? Jetha is a very responsible and successful businessman. Champak should atleast respect this. When Jetha insistes on his wife waiting on him 24/7, I think its an equation between wife and husband. Though its morally wrong, in their case it looks sweet enough, bcz the relation between both of them is really sweet.

But then again, Jetha's behavior with bhide and Iyer is objectionable. Its like, he is harassed by his father and son, so he will extract the revenge by targeting bhide and iyer, two people who are humble bcz of their education. Taarak passing snide remarks and then laughing obnoxiously is unbearable. Komal looking on indulgently as her husband stuffs himself with just about anything is actually stupid.

There are many more such points which is taking this serial down and down. and add to that "vibrant gujarat" promos. That is why these "in-your-face" promos are adding insult to injury.

If the focus is shifted from these promos, and the creatives look within themselves, they will find a wealth of co-existence they have created, six years back. Give everybody and very region importance. our India is too diverse and we can then have excellently gelled episodes.

I wish Anjali was hathi's wife& Goli's mom-Imagine goli& hathi will run away in 1 day after her horrible diet fooe!!!See to start with it was Nice Indian Thali-rich & diverse.Now its continental food-Bread and anda only-(gada family).
