Every year I see someone or the other buys new ghagra cholis to wear during navratri. They wear ghagra cholis only during navratri so why are they buying them every year when they have to wear them only once a year?
Today anjali told taarak to buy a new one I am sure all the ladies will tell their husbands to buy new ones
Just waste of money when u can wear them every year.

Anjali buying Ghagra choli is okay actually because navratri is very important festival for Gujaratis. I wonder why others buy it every year without fail ?

well basically its Gujarati festival, everyone celebrating it in society is fine because everyone is excited abt it..thats not an issue..

but each one buying new dresses on every festival they celebrate is bit odd because in general, i mean in real life mein aaisa kahan hota hai..

we do celebrate our festival, i mean i have friend from other community and we do visit each other on festival and celebrate and stuff but buying new clothes for all the festivals...can't afford it..😆, unless you are staying in gokuldham..😆

Haan yaar ! I have heard that navaratri has become a big bucks spending festival. The ghagras have to be exclusive and new every year !

Every small festival has become commercialized.
I still remember Saraswati Puja. Donning my mother's best saree and jewelry was like a treasure to me. These days girll literally shop for sarees and accessories during Saraswati Puja and parents allow bhi to karte hai.

Navtri is still 9 days festival.🤔

In Bengali culture however we are suppose to wear new clothes on Durga Puja like one would wear for Diwali in other parts of India.

Depends you can get some cheap chaniya cholis, but honestly I just get new sarees that I can wear throughout the year at other functions and sell the old ones on ebay. Sarees are better, when and where else are you going to wear a chaniya choli especially the type that Gokuldham ladies wear?
