Finally, Asit Modi chosen the right thing to do on his show. Read what Asit Modi said about Popatlal's marriage.
Asit Modi: When will Popatlal marry ? has always been the most asked question to me. While other questions such as when Daya's mother will make an appearance is also asked most of the times. I always get stuck in thinking whether to get him married or not. My most trusted actor, Dilip Joshi, aka Jethalal, the all-time fan favorite character of the show advised me to get him married by saying "Asit bhai, ab to Popat ki shaadi karwa hi do". Its always great to see that your actor is giving you advises and correcting you in times, not like other actors/actresses who just agree to all your words. Maybe its because of the fact that the show is just fiction and not real life. After seeing how our fans responded to Popatlal-Bulbul marriage and keeping Dilip Joshi's advice in mind, I finally decided to get him married. I promised this before on the screen as soon as Popatlal-Bulbul marriage came to an end but I haven't told when will it be ? So, now revealing even this that Popatlal will get married this year, as the fans already waited too much.
He further said :-
"It will be a very tough work to select an actress to play the role of Popatlal's wife, as the balance between funny and queer must be kept. She need to be very special and interesting than any other ladies in the society as Popatlal himself is very interesting. Selecting an actress not suitable for such role will be a big mistake as she will be a permanent member of the society."
Lastly he added :-
"Popatlal's marriage will be very special. Every fans will remember this great moment to have happened on the show. Also, Daya's garba will not be missed."
That's the end. So, now its confirmed that Popat will get married this year. I am very happy about this. But its very hard to understand that how Asit Modi still loves to see Daya's garba đĄ
