Been traveling from yesterday Shru, please bear with me for the delayed comment. 😭

In brief, I liked the update and how conniving, guileful and machiavellian Ragini is. Lakshya seems set to be as fickle as ever, I fully expect him to change his mind once again, and shift his choice of bride from Swara back to Ragini! And I don't mind that one bit, he doesn't deserve Swara anyway, and our Golden couple need to get together, na?

Sanskaar has started feeling joyous and blissful having Swara keep him company, though it was part of the ploy he hatched with Ragini initially. How long before he admits to himself what he is feeling?

I am quite intrigued by your mention of the messenger sent to deliver him some information in secret, and how the person who'd sent him had perforce to send a relative greenhorn, since all his better men were involved in the other mission Sanskaar had entrusted him with. Wonder what these missions are? Sanskaar being perfectly lucid and sane, seems to be known to a core group of his loyalists. An army action against an external/ internal threat in the offing?

I liked your concluding sentence describing our Golden pair...The Knave who was once the Finest Knight (still is, as far as I am concerned. 😳), and the Pawn destined to be a Queen. 👏

BTW, are you going to be able to finish this within the 7 chapters you'd earmarked? Its already 5, and there seems to be quite a bit of ground left to cover, right?

Sorry for the late unres Shru. Having so many net issues these days, that whatever I type doesn't get posted as the server goes down.
Anyways coming to Chapter 5, well the start was a shock. I know the kheer scene had taken place in Swaragini as well, but how different was it here!😲😊 I din't at first understand Swara's intentions, maybe they were just like those in the show, but I was wrong. This was quite different I must say.
Sanskaar's sudden change in behaviour had me going 😕 but as I read through the entire awesome chapter😊 I understood the case. Sanskaar calls her Mermaid Princess😳 How cute was that! I was literally smiling reading that!😃Love this name<3
Sujata is a very sharp and at the same time naive woman. She can analyse everything going on and she even knows the inside temperament of people, like she guessed Swara's yet that stereotypical thinking always prevails, wait I must forget I'm in 21st century😆.
Anyways, so Ragini is negative here too. And more cruel and shrewd than anyone can think. This girl literally gives me creeps on how can a person, that too a girl be so cruel, mean and selfish at heart. We are supposed to be kind-hearted generous people but this young lady/ Princess is one exception to the universally accepted fact of women nature.
Sanskaar, of course, however he tries to make his heart stone, he has lots of humanity in him. Each moment spent with Swara disgusts him and Ragini all the more. He hates himself for using Swara and that very instant kills his humanity, no just hidesit as he can't kill it😳. I loved this fact of Sanskaar's nature! I'm sure he's gonna fall for his Mermaid Princess soon😃.
The last paragraph is amazing👏. Especially the last line. Fate has got them together and Sanskaar can't resist the softness in him due to Swara's pure soul and kind nature. He fears the same but SwaSan gonna start soon I'm sure😃 Wating for the next update

Chapter 3

Truly love is most beautiful of dreams that human mind can conjure and the worst of nightmare that it can try and fail to resist. I started watching SR way, way late after I came across the character of Sanskaar that was so unapologetic about his very fabric of being. I have rarely seen such characters that can be all they want to without giving two hoots about what the world thinks of them. There is something about him that calls on a deeper level to scrutinize and decipher. The very calling is visible in this chapter. Yes, he has a sob story, yes he has faced betrayal and yes he is out to avenge but then again there is something in him that hasn't cracked as yet. Something that holds him back from losing himself into the myriad black storm is so pressed on unleashing upon the Maheswari clan.

I won't talk about Kavita and the subsequent betrayal that followed that is tale that is constant among all dynasties in the world. But interesting it would be to see what plans Sankaar devises to right all the wrongs done! So the past comes like a tidal wave promising to drown him some more and like a defense mechanism his senses are back on high alert. I have to make a mention of the divided map and the code key here, sounded so much like the stuff that makes Indiana Jones! Whip!!!

And so it begins...the most dreaded of equation that changed the entire dynamics between these four plays is set in motion. Swara is that effervescent fragrance that can put people in trance and Lakshya is very well caught in this spell. Slowly he is trying to put those feelings of his into true motion without realizing that Swara is simply not interested. Why is this guy so damn obtuse? And Swara too played her card trick well by taking that offering to her sister who already had flashes of chagrin crossing her cold, empty face. What surprised me that most was Sanskaar. He should have been happy that things were going according to his plans, why is he so unsettled when it comes to a girl who he himself has labeled as a collateral damage? He is hurt to have pinched her hard...why? Isn't this what he actually wants? Either it's his moral or his warrior resolve that is making him pull his hands out even before it touches that muck? Ho kya raha hai bhai??? I was legit grinning here like an idiot here!!

And then he unleashes his emotions for everyone to see, lucky they were absorbed in their own set of pandemonium to see where this was going. Swara surprises just about everyone with her ability to behold joy in whatever mundane form it comes to her. She embraced that little rain created by a potential enemy and took even him by surprise. My mind lazily conjured an image from Guru where Aishwarya drenched in rain managed to steal the breath away. Swara too must have done the same for Lakshya was holding his breath and Sanskaar had an unwelcomed surge of rather unaccounted jealousy wash him over. While this water exposed the goddess-like nature of Swara it also washed away the mask Ragini had so conveniently worn over her face. I see now that fare share of warning you had given me in the first chapter itself. Seemingly all of that is coming alive!

So the relations are indeed fractured beyond any cure. I am waiting for the pain to kick in...it will be a while before it is out in the open as to who can withstand what level of the war that is soon to dawn upon them all.

P.S. Your fine tuning of Ragini has honestly taken me by surprise...this is one character that has so much of potential but is never dealt with in a manner it should be. Ragini is someone who knows she is no match for Swara, who has strong wings with which she soars high in the air while she like a reptile has to crawl the ground. The characters analysis are so brilliantly written by both you and Viji in her Karna Parva. I wish the makers had found a better actor than Tejaswi to portray this role. She is so boring and mediocre in performance that I feel a sense of embarrassment calling her a grey character! If she indeed is quitting bring a woman who can play the character exactly as it should be. There is so much more to be explored from her side!

P.P.S. I will be back with my take on 4 & 5!!!

Hi Sanya! Thanks a lot for your comment and interesting observations. You will hopefully find a lot of your answers not in the next chapter but the one after certainly as I hope by then to show how things will unfold as to Sanskaar's future actions. As you can see there's a lot of wider stuff happening with Sanskaar which the reader isn't aware of yet but I have shown some message coming for him and so on. And yes Sanskaar is unpredictable so anything can happen:). Ragini as you have guessed means harm to Swara if necessary and if she doesn't get her way so yes whether Sanskaar goes along with that or breaks out from the cycle will soon come to light. As for his overall innocence that is still some way off as the plot was deep and to reclaim from that will take a lot:). Hope you'll continue to read! X

The story is progressing amazingly. So Ragini has started her games and Sanskaar's truth is out. *sigh* I really loved the way you have shown this part of the story. The show was able to show how the sisters had changed but the way you have written it one was able to visualise so much more. Really liked the whole part how Ragini came to know Sanskaar's truth and how despite that he was able to manipulate her. The best part of this whole update was the end paragraph. Fantastic end to the update. Sanskaar realising he doesn't exactly mind spending time with Swara and that last sentence leaves me wanting for more. Sheer brilliance.!

Yes Ragini has begun and is almost running away with her plots, more to finish off on that in the next chapter as I couldn't get it all in here. I am glad you liked the exploring of the role reversal of the sisters. I feel that each has hidden qualities and they needed to be brought out properly. Ah, you liked how Ragini discovered matters? I thought hard about how to make that happen and then settled for that as other options were too convoluted. Mermaid Princess - that is what really stuck with me. There is a quotation by Anais Nin "I must be a mermaid. I have no fear of depths and a great fear of shallow living." So labelling Swara as a mermaid princess - so appropriate.

Hi Nyna! You made me so happy with your comment, thank you! I so wanted to achieve something with the twist of changing roles and giving Swara time with Sanskaar and reading what you said made me feel relieved that it seems to have worked! Lakshya- ah see he is simple in that way- he sees what you show him and lives for the moment. Part of his charm I guess for someone like Ragini who wouldn't want a man who looked too closely I guess!

Ohhh that quote is beautiful! I haven't come across it before and thanks for sharing it! With your permission if I have need of it in future can I use it?

And Sanskaar's help no matter how half hearted only gives her more power. Sanskaar isn't happy but doesn't know what to do now. I have some surprises planned ahead! Will update as soon as I can X
