Sony TV's Prithvi Vallabh, the huge masterpiece historical produced by Aniruddh Pathak's Writer's Galaxy will soon beam on Sony TV.

Talented actor Shalini Kapoor Sagar who was seen in Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev, Qubool Hai and Swaragini will don a very important role...

A credible source confides, "Shalini will play the role of Prithvi's mother. She will have a very strong character to portray. She will be renowned as the Rajmata.

As we know, popular actor Ashish Sharma and Sonarika Bhadoria will play the lead roles of Prithvi Vallabh and Mrinal.

We buzzed Shalini but she remained unavailable for comment.

We also buzzed the channel spokesperson but did not get revert.

Sony TV's magnum opus show, Prithvi Vallabh is all set to go on-air soon and as the trailer of the show suggests, it is certainly a spectacle to watch out for.

While Ashish Sharma and Sonarika Bhadoria being the leads is alluring in itself, things got a lot better with the inclusion of actress, Shalini Kapoor Sagar who will be playing the mother to Prithvi.

Shalini is best known for her roles in shows like Swaragini and Qubool Hai among others.

We contacted Shalini, who said, "It's lovely to get back with the same team. I am acquainted with almost everyone in the team as we have worked together previously in Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev. My role is special and meaty which makes it great as I can present my acting skills."

She also mentioned that, "Ashish and I live in the same apartment. His wife is a close friend and we spend good time. I have known Ashish for a long time and it will be a lot of fun to work with him."

At a time when many television actors refuse to age on screen, Shalini Kapoor is an exception. The actress says that she has no qualms about playing a mother, even to actors just a few years younger than her.

Shalini, who is back on television as Ashish Sharma's mother in the show 'Prithvi Vallabh', says, "I'm playing the Rajmata, which is an important character. Ashish and I live in the same housing society and his wife Archana Taideis my close friend. In any case, I am used to playing mother to my friends, and I don't bother too much about it. I have played mother to actors like Karan Singh Grover, Drashti Dhami, Mouni Roy and Karanvir Bohra, who are my pals. I have known Ashish for years and it will be fun working with him. Age should not be an issue for an actor. We should only focus on how substantial the part is and on this show, my character is quite promising."
