Yesterdays episode...😳 Anyways, here are my thoughts on one of the best episodes of Siya ke Ram.

The theme of the episode, from my POV, is desire, good and bad... I'll explain.

At Bhrigu's ashram, Maa Lakshmi is born as Bhargavi, and to unite with her, Lord Vishnu stays there in the form of a human. He wins over Bhargavi's heart, and asks for her hand, to which Khyati agrees. Here, Lord Vishnu and Bhargavi's desire to get married is shown. Next, the asuras come and take refuge in Khyati, and Lord Vishnu requests her to hand them over to the devas. Khyati says that they can not be harmed when she is alive, so take her soul into him or forget the asuras. And Lord Vishnu fulfills the first condition. Khyati desired to be in Lord Vishnu's abode, so she worded her wish in such a way, that Lord Vishnu had to agree. Finally, the Lord and Mother are get married, and Rishi Bhrigu curses the couple that they will be separated in every incarnation of theirs. Bhargavi requests her father to reduce the effect, and he does, by saying that the separation will result in good for the world. Bhrigu wanted to inflict the same pain on Vishnu that he was going through, separation from a wife, and Bhargavi wanted to stay with her husband at every step of life. All of these were good desires, except for Rishi Bhrigu's, which was made good by the Lord's leela.

In Panchavati, Ravan tells Marich to go to Sita as a golden deer, and to garner sympathy, he injures Marich. Here, Ravan's desire to exact revenge and Marich's desire to stay alive is highlighted. Ravan's and Marich's desires were both wrong because they were self-centered.

The lesson I learned from today's episode is that desires don't take long to turn in amibitions. Ambitions are desires that are only self-centered, desires can be both selfless and self-centered, but I am talking about selfless desires. That's all from my side!

SIYA KE RAM: 22/05:
ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD

Wohooo!!!!!! 🥳
Shruthi what will call today's episode? What have we hit today? Its beyond Kohinoor I ges. 😃

Guys forget yday but today's episode was sheer brilliance in everything. Mark my words in GOLD!!

Screenplay check.
Dialogues check.
Execution check.

One of the bestest episode of SKR after the "half knowledge" one.

Sheer brilliance.. ⭐️ I really wish trp pours in Atleast now...

I loved every scene.. Every character today.

So let's start ppl...

Sita has some surprise for ram and lakshman.

She asks them to close their eyes. They follow her.

And what's before them is stunning.

Not juz they even am surprised 😆

What follows later is a prophecy.

Wow!!!! That piece was so nice. I loved it.. All green green
Green is so rare these days 😭

Ram only sees his and lakshman's statue. He asks her the reason.

She asks them to search for her. And if she's not there what's the reason?

Lakshman replies how can the person who makes an art piece be there in his /her work?

Ram gives a look. Sita continues laughing. And I continue thinking..

The scene was cute, funny, light but deep..

What dialogues yaar cvs!!! Take a bow writers!!!👏

The interpretation if this scene is as below:

Lakshman pointed at sita's absence. How can one be there to bear the fruits of his/her work?

Lakshman here indirectly acknowledges sita as prakriti.

Prakriti gives us everything. But does she ever enjoy the fruits of her own work? She only knows how to give. She only knows to serve selflessly. You'll enjoy the fruits of prakriti. She's omnipresent. But you'll never see her with naked eyes. You can feel her. You can understand her essence.

Now with Ram's glare lakshman leaves. And ram's words are magic which add up to lakshman's answer.

"You reside in my heart, sitae"

That's it.. What connectivity... 👏

This hints towards the time when sita is banished... And also a parallel when she's in Lanka.

Sita's sacrifice of kingdom gives a life to the new limit of "rajdharma".

SiRa's separation give a life to the new limit of " Love".

This scene was magic!!!!!! Trust me 😳

Now very very interestingly we have ravan with akampana.
And this is the reason we love the screenplay of SKR. Whatta thought cvs... I salute u DP and AP. You both have brought out the essence of right, wrong, nature, civilization, man and woman. Its a treat to watch the show..

Whatta contrast to the previous art work by Sita.. It's a similar one. Almost the same. But what's the difference?

It's the approach..

Sita made the art to signify "love"

Ravan makes it to signify "revenge"

Sita's questions echo her heart.

Ravan's words echo his mind.

Sita sees prakriti in a grateful way.

Ravan sees it a manipulative way.

Here's a mountain. There are the trees.. Visibility is minimum. Here one can hide.

In a nutshell strategies.

Akampana has his own concerns.

But see how ravan exudes confidence. It was 👏

Cut to Lanka.

Surpankha doesnt trust ravan 😆

She's blasting the spies when meghNa enter. Am drooling on this man yaar..

And he comes with a purpose. He addresses the follies.

Surpankha goes on telling how ravan must have fallen for sita's beauty.

Meghnad interrupts her and starts counting her mistakes 😆

And advices her to own up her actions instead of pointing fingers here and there.

Meghnad I love you yaar 😳. I wish they had taken someone else as sulo.

Surpankha leaves. Meghnad blasts sulochana. You supported her. And you will have to bear the consequences of your mistake. My gawd 👏 absolute ⭐️. Sulo be ready to lose your husband.

Now its time for sulochana to blast surpankha 😆. I loved it. Finally sulo opened her mouthand said its injustice. Its a crime. How can you even think of snatching away someone's husband? How can u even think of separating two lovers? This separation will cost all of us.

Surpankha's mind is out.. She feels its a lecture and ignores everything.

Now to the most favorite and important part...

The golden deer..

"Kya swarnamrig wakai hote hai, ya sita didi ke Mann ki kalpana hai?"

"Aapne toh swarnamrig kabhi dekha toh nahi hai, phir aap itne vishwaas se kaise keh sakti hai"

"Dekha toh maine ishwar ko bhi nahi hai, par Mera unmein vishwaas hai"

"Swarnamrig hote bhi hai ya nahi? Peeche 2 varsha se bhaagein bhaagein aa rahe hai"

" kitna aanand ayega na urmila didi"

"Awashya shruthkirti aanand ayega agar neend se uth jao toh"

"Vo aa rahe hai"

"Swarnamrigon ka moh itna kyun hai mujhe?"

"Hum samajh sakte hai didi"

All was well till here... But what happens next is nthn less than a warning to sita. But did she realize it?
Now what was it exactly?

Shruthkirti slips and tumbles down. And the herd of deer is running towards her. Sita goes to save her. Sits in front of her and pray to the deer. The deer run from the sides. And when she's safe a deer winks at sita.

Bas!

Had sita never seen a golden deer would it have been this easy for her to believe that the deer is injured?

And which animal runs towards any hut especially when its a forest?

The wink by the deer is carried here. Had the deer not responded then. Had prakriti not made Sita believe in magic she won't have believed it today.

A deer that too injured with an arrow. An arrow can only be pulled by a human or a warrior or any species other than animal. Keeping these points in mind how can an injured deer approach a house full of humans wen he's injured by a human?

Did sita think of this even once?

Ram's point qws valid. There are no deer in this forest. How can one that too injured come here?

Sita's enemy here is not the deer but her own experiences and compassion.

It is said be compassionate, emphatic but don't be overwhelmed. How can you help someone heal their wounds and pain if you yourself are moved to this extent?

And this is what has happened with Sita. Mareech's tact has worked. He only showed up to sita. The tears, the limp everything.. It was enough to catch Sita off guard.

But what he didn't calculate was ram and lakshman. He had assumed her wish is their command and they'll oblige. But he forgot they are men and they need proof.

Ram and lakshman efused to believe cz they had never seen golden deer and especially not in dandaka forest.

I loved how sita was a typical wife and a woman then. She was angry miffed and sad all at the same time.

But ram does say this she doesnt speak till she's sure. She must have seen and that's the reason she has become so off beat.

Mareech gains some brain and comes in front of everyone. Sita again points at him.

Ram and lakshman also notice.. Tomorrow seems to be interesting.

Some crucial pointers:

Lakshman is still in doubts.

Ravan and sita have same landscapes made.

Ravan's ignorance of smthn known as love.

Sita talks of heart. He place in ram's heart.

Sulo's words confirm this. That place in the heart is going to bring ravan down.

Ravan analyses every point of the forest.

Sita's focus is the two men.

Ravan assumes his Victory but forgets to focus on the two men who sit in the hut. The hut that sita made their home. Even in her absence its going to be her essence that shall drive them.

Ravan will abduct sita's body, but does he get her soul there?

NO...

Prakriti gives selflessly but once the line is crossed expect a catastrophe.

Mareech brought out sita's overwhelming side. There's no way shell be able to figure out Maya anywhere. Forget it..

Sita's dialogue that in this whole universe her place will always be ram's heart. It was specially special.. Ssly 😆

This place is always going to protect ram. The fact that sita's essence is more important for ram is going to safeguard his decisions always. That might be the Lanka battle. That might be his 'rajdharma'

Ram's victory is possible because of ravan's defeat who has kept his wife in his palace "pattarani" and not his heart. Gold is imp mud is not.

Lakshman's victory is possible because urmila is there with him even as a statue even in her sleep. Meghnad is defeated because of his own words. "Never side with wrong". What the hell is he doing then? Sulochana has already shown her side. She's with love. Her place is in meghnad's room but in his heart?

Mandodari and sulo are present physically in the palace. But mentally and emotionally they are surrounded by so many doubts that they even fear to find a place in their husbands' hearts.

Sita and urmila are physically away from their husbands but mentally and emotionally find a place in their hearts which serves as an inspiring force to their husbands.

And this is where their " satitva" win.

Chastity is not about how loyal or pure a woman is, its about ehsy place a husband gives his woman. Its about the treatment he gives her. Its about his DEEDS that govern the chastity of his woman.

Cmn to the title...

All that glitters is not gold..

Never judge a book by its cover.

Lanka has gold in abundance. Unfortunately they have hearts that are black.

Mareech can disguise in gold but his intention remains evil.

Surpankha tries to be a beauty with gold but shows her true colors even with it..

What is gold really?

An investment? Yes.. Only an investment. Which can make you rich and financially sound. Which can raise your bar in society. But does anyone know how this gold is brought?

W get gold from ores. What is an ore? It's a rock. Juz a rock.

Does ravan acknowledge this?

Rock is nthn but the earth or soil or mud.

And here's the difference..

Ravan only means gold. I.e the finished product.

Ram only means ore. That is the source.

How many times in our life do we acknowledge the source?

You can save earth. You can save nature if you understand the origin. If you understand the source.

I was reading about hydro power. What do we see here? Even before sanskriti I.e the power plant is built we study the prakriti I.e the source/ characteristics of the river body.

Hydro power is generated if the water has sufficient potential. That is you need to study the river's origin and its path. From where dies it fall and which site is preferable..

Also water can raised artificially with dams but even dams need the information of the foundation, water level and soil quality. Again u need to study nature...

Without understanding an ore you cannot understand gold.

People value gold but not the stones.

And the results are clear.. No?

So... What do u think of this tym's summer?

@DD today was brilliance beyond description. And it is priceless. The beauty of the screenplay, the theme of mythology all encompassed in one episode. What should I say. Yesterday only I was talking about Sita's prudence, her need to protect Ram.
And what do we see today. I will start from Ravan. He is observing Panchavati and analyzing how to take Sita. He looks at all sides. He and Akampana evaluates from all angle. And what they have send to lure Sita. Sanskriti in the form of Prakriti.

And who is preparing the counter strategy. It is not Ram, It is not Lakshman. It is Sita. She creates the beautiful art piece of Panchavati. The sweet soft, beautiful looking Sita is asking Ravan, come idiot come. Seeing this roop of mine come. You simply doesnt know where I reside. And you dont even know this look of mine is specific to certain people who love me, respect me. My real look you will understand once you touch me. And by the time you understand me, I would have made you emotionally weak to such an extend my husband and my devar will take you down.

That smiling Sita who says she is in the heart of Ram and at every time she will be there only gives the hope for her husband so that he doesnt lose strength, he plays his part correct in the scheme of things she is setting up. His love for her never wavers. Because Ravan's plan is based on fear and Sita's plan is based on love.

Sita today stood like the Gowri of Ram, asking Ravan to come to her so that she can become Durga. The destructive force for the betterment of the universe.

And if that was not enough see the way golden deer happens. Ram treats it as Sita's illusion. Yes Gowri's real plan, her maya is in action now. And when she creates medicines they come to help her and she tells it is her illusion so she will do it herself. What a beauty. This whole plan, this whole treatment that the universe needs, the adharmi soul needs the Goddess is preparing the medicine. She knows the golden deer will come back. It is then Ram and Lakhan sees it.

Ravan unfolds Sanskriti's Maya and Sita unfolds Prakriti's Maya. And Ravan has no clue what her Maya is.

Cut to Lanka. Once again beautiful. Meghnad comes and gives a piece of mind to Surpi telling her they never asked her to go to Dandakarnya. It was her mistake and his father has still gone to take revenge for her. It shows at heart Meghnad is not liking his father's idea of Sita Haran, but as a duty bound son, he will not say or hear anything against him. And his words to Sulochana those who support crime is also criminal and will be punished. How true and it will apply to him also. He will lose his life and she loses her husband because of her mistake.

And I could empathize with Sulochana. What Meghanad is going to do is crime, what Surpi did was crime, but what Sulochana did was mistake. Her need to support her bua who was in love. And her belief everyone has a right to love. And I guess surpi knew Sulo wont help if she knew about Ram's marital status. This is what I said when power is in charge of wealth instead of knowledge. Sulo is the wealth and Surpi the dark power misused her. Look at the warning she gives. Love is the biggest strength and if you seperate 2 lovers the result will not be good.

Sulo knows what is love, she knows the power of love because irrespective of their differences with respect to Ravan Sulo is a woman who has been loved by her husband. And since her husband is ek patni vrath she understands what ek patni vrath means and she knows how privileged it is to have a man who will only have one wife in his life. Since she is the lucky woman who is loved she does not want to wreck havoc in another woman's life. Because she knows it will affect her too. But Surpi she has never experienced this love. Used as a property because of her brother she sees everything as objects and as expected Sulo's warning falls in deaf ears.

@Gowri good desires I generally call them wishes. Because when you wish you put effort to make the wish true. It is your effort. And we know sometimes certain wishes dont happen the way we want. Still we accept them and move on.
A desire is something that burns you, you want it at any cost. And you give others pain for achieving it.

@Sruthi di Yes di, I didn't know what to put to make it sound right, so I put that, but yes, wishes does sound good. Thanks! And, Sita did make a nice strategy,"Look like a victim and make the other person a victim".And di, the line about Sita protecting Ram like Gauri and asking Ravan to come so she can become Durga, thanks for once again comparing me with Sita Maa! 😆😉 This is one of your best analyses yet!

@Janvhi di Yes, the episode was one of the best ones yet! And, nice analysis. Sita is Maa Prakriti, who gives, but doesn't expect anything in return, and prefers to stay invisible. And the contrast between Sita and Ravan, awesome!

The episode..awesome! So many symbolisms and messages, and so deep, but simple. Janvhi di and Sruthi di have taken care of those beautifully, but I am here to focus on the theme of the episode. So, here we go!

The theme of today's episode was doubts... Why this dark theme for a beautiful episode? Let me explain...

In Panchavati, Sita surprises Ram and Lakshman by making a small model of Panchavati, and then asks them.. Where is she if she is not in the model? Lakshman fails(sorry!), but Ram correctly answers that Sita is always in his heart. I wonder, why does Sita give so many tests? Does she have a doubt on Ran's love? Someone please clarify this.

Next, in Kishkindha, Hanuman gives the news of Bali's refusal, and Sugreev gets worried. Why? Because he doubts that Roma might fall in trouble because of Bali's behavior, and Hanuman promises to do something to free her from Bali.

Then, in Lanka, Surpanakha is very eager to get the news of her revenge being fulfilled. She has the doubt that Ravn, Akampana, and Marich are not going to be able to do this "small task". Then Meganath, along with Sulochana, comes and starts blaming his aunt for everything that happens. He just kept on going because he doubted if the Sitaharan is a good idea. After he leaves, Sulochana vents out her share of frustration and spits out her doubt that separating two lovers leads to doom.

Back in Panchavati, Sita sees the golden deer and tells Ram and Lakshman about it. They have a doubt about her words because golden deers do not inhabit the forests of Panchavati. But, Sita is adamant that she saw it and seeks to prove it to them. Also, Ravan and Akampana are making their strategy by looking at a model of Panchavati(what a coincidence!) and Akampana expresses his one doubt- Will Marich be able to take the over protective Ram and Lakshman away from Sita? Ravan, in his ego, says that all he needs is one minute(he needed a looot longer!)

From this episode, I learned that humans only see what they want to see, true or false. Sita was adamant that she saw the deer, and it was true. But, Ravan thinks that the Sita haran is the right way to take revenge, which is false. That's all for today! Please, voice your opinions and thoughts!

Shruthi and Janhavi ,your posts were excellent and as profound as the episode. Sita is considered as a part of Adi shakti and here she shows it with subtlety. Since she came across the burnt lotus flowers ,her conversations with Ram have acquired a deeper meaning. She initiates the conversation about their separation and while seemingly asking for his reassurance gives him the direction in which to proceed in the event of some one separating her and Ram. On a lighter note she was perhaps giving him a gentle worded warning not to revel in enjoying his Maya so much as to delay in finding her😆.
Today she showed him their world and made him understand that though he may not be able to see her physical form in that world, he would be able to feel her presence always in his heart-her residing place. Again her way of preparing him for the events to be unfolded. Isn't it beautiful that our Gods both Vishnu and Shiv teach us that even though there is no lack of strength in them, their source of power is in the form of their wives?
The golden deer symbolizes both Ravan's foolish desires of revenge as well as the baseless accusations of the people of Ayodhya. Just as the golden deer is merely an illusion and thus has no real existence, Ravan's illusion of revenge leads to his destruction and the people's baseless accusations lead to her sacrifice. Ravan's mind loses to her will and the people's delusions lose to her self respect. What a woman, Sita is!

@DD what an analysis. And I loved your take. Understanding the origin. See the most important thing for anything to move forward is understanding how you came here. There is a saying never forget the path you came. As you rightly said without understanding mud you cannot understand gold. It is the same with everything. Unless you understand yourself, your strengths, your weakness you cannot understand another. Understanding is the most important thing. We can love, we can like but understanding why he or she did what they did. It needs an open mind, a self evaluation and an empathy which comes from only when we understand the source. @Gowri it is not Sita doubted Ram's love. But wives are like that. They love to have reassurances once in a while 😉. They simply love to play around. We love to be indulged a bit. Maybe you will understand this part once you are married 😆😆
@Savitha on spot. Gentle warning. Don't lose focus. Come for me. Perfect wifey 😆😆
