Why did Sita remind me so much of myself today 😆😆. Her ego is hurt when Laxman says with her they need a safe place. It was fine if only it was both of them.
Why did Sita retort that way. Reason is it is for the first time she felt what is like being in the jungle. She was quite an independant girl. But look at her condition today. Her feet got stuck between boulders. She couldnt take it out alone. Ram helps her. Then he carries her and finally ties her wound. Sita had to become dependant which she doesnt like. And she herself is feeling a little down on whether she is becoming a trouble as they also had a narrow escape from the boulder. And Laxman's dialogue of she needing a safe place rubs salt on that wound. And she retorts. Ram handles it nicely. He knows she will realize herself at the right time the need of dependancy, what her presence is going to land her husband and devar into as time comes.

What Laxman said is true but the time was not right to say it. He should have spoken to Ram in private, and allowed Ram to speak to her. But Laxman is a direct person. He tells what he feels. See these are minor things which needs to be managed in relations.

And now coming to Sita and women general in certain places where men has to take care of them or can be a danger to even men. Yes we feel bad that we increase problems for men, or can bring them to danger also. And girls well they dont like this at all. Let me put my POV on this problem
First we as woman needs to admit one thing not every man is Ram, Lakshman, Bharath or Shatrughna. Not every man is Janaka.

There are enough Ravan's in this world. Yes they have to be cleansed they have to be fought. But the problem happens many times we are unable to understand Ravan. Sita is fooled by Ravan as he comes as a rishi. By the time she realizes who he is it is far too late in the game.

So first and the foremost if a girl need not be a trouble to the men around her what she needs is the knowledge to differentiate between Ram and Ravan. If she has this knowledge she should know how to safeguard herself from such men. She has to be Durga who knows the difference between Shiva and Mahishasura and doesnt need a man to fix Mahisasur. She can fight the battle on her own.

But without that knowledge if you venture out in places with men, you put not only yourself but the men who care for you also in the mess. Like what happened with Sita. Her apaharan, what all her husband and devar went through. Today she didnt even acknowledge Lakshman's apology properly, but this man is going to take Brahmastra on himself for her sake.

The girl in Sita has not gone away. It will go away only in Ashoka vattika when she faces the bitter truth. Her lack of judgement, her pride in her knowledge all going for a toss. Alone in that vattika under a tree with only the hope of her husband coming her life teaches her the most valuable lesson. That at times you have to be dependant. At times you have to listen. At times certain remarks are not to restrain you, but to protect you from the harm. You are dear to someone and that someone may express the love in a way that might be uncomfortable to you.

But the woman who couldnt understand the concern and love of Lakshman, will understand him under the Asoka Vattika tree

True well said..outspoken people thoughts like lakshman will always be conisdered as negative rather than taking them in positive. If ram and lakshman were alone they would have not considered about their food, safety, living because they are able to handle any situation and proved themselves under bramarshi vishwamithr guidance ..to kill Ravan god created sita kidnap, but why did not he realuse the outcomes of kidnapping a women would she face when she is relieved.Till now im struck at this point waiting for SKR answer

See there are certain areas where privacy is not possible and we women know that we need it. Men will manage without privacy on most occasions.
We all know what happened with Nirbhaya. Her friend was with her , yet he couldnt protect her. We cry for Nirbhaya. Have we ever thought what her friend would have gone through. Not able to protect the woman with him.
And then there was incident in Bombay where 2 guys who questioned the rowdies who teased the girls were killed.
We should not be afraid, but we need to be aware. Good men are getting killed. Very recently in tvm an idiot killed the father of the girl because the girl turned down the proposal and her father was taking her to college as this guy was stalking her. And he killed the father one day by attacking him in the road. The attack was supposed to be on the girl, but the father took it. Many people by not going to police on time invite such incidents on themselves.

We are not having even Ravans today. It is Mahisasur. If only women group, become aware and bring down such men, world will be a safe place for both men and women

I agree with ur pov shruthi.

Today women may be stronger but the fact remains that we can not fight what I would call a biological disadvantage which makes us v vulnerable to evil n lechorous men. And that damage is permanent.. Esp on the psyche of the women

So it's best to avoid being in such situations - it's prudence not cowardice

I agree laxmans words today which angered/upset her would come back to haunt her

Better to be safe than sorry.
Why not avoid situations which can put us in danger.

Many of you may not like my point , but I particularly hated that scene.
It is true that waht Lakshman said could have been said privately to Rama , but the way CV's showed Sita's explosive reaction was so un-needed.

It kind of ruined her strong character and brought forward her ill judging and temperamental nature , which was never the case in real

Those Lines could have been spoken in so mature and Kinder way , but it was shown as if she was literaaly scolding her Brother in Law , and that too when he was speaking out of concern for Her .

I am sorry , but I didn't like that scene at all😡

First of all, Ravan didn't realize Raam could free Seeta.
Second, they say vengeance can make on blind,
1) Ravan lost Seeta's swayamvar,
2) Shoorpankha, his sister, was humiliated so badly by Lakshman,
3) Khar and Dooshan, his cousins, were killed by Raam.
I guess these were enough to hurt the ego of the 'invincible' Ravan enough to make him go for Seeta. 😊
Also, Shoorpanakha had specially requested for Seeta's abduction to avenge her humiliation.

@shivam Sita did make an ill judgement. Why not so it early that at times she can make one. Sita is strong, but that doesnt mean she doesnt have human weakness. I was happy they showed the weakness of Sita. Because Ram's emotional vulnerability comes out at many points, not Sita's emotional vulnerability except at Panchavati. Good that CVs showed it existed in her. Just my POV you can always disagree
@manasa the Sita who takes everything that is thrown at her well I cannot connect to her. But Sita who reacts at times when she is hurt emotionally yes I can connect. Now Ram taking Sita well it was filmy, but it was fine. Because I see them as a couple. Humanity over divinity. So I was fine with it.

Hi Shruti

I completely agree with your POV , there is nothing for me to diagree on it , what you say is entirely true

What i mean to say is the way that scene was shot was very wrong, in a bid to show Sita's waekness , they showed her acting quite rude and impulsive

It was the same way when in a bid to show Lakshman's anger due to extreme devotion towards Rama , that they showed him pushing and nudging his own wife in a very disrespectful way.

Today's scene could have been shot in a much better way
