Janhavi ji firstly I m sorry last night I got confused between u and shruthiji. Actually, I was half asleep then.. so

A very very happy new year / gudi parwa to u😃.. every year cheti chand, gudi padwa m ugadi (tamil/keralan new year - I don't know which) falls on the same day.

coming to our discussion on Janak, I agree with u on almost every word u wrote. Let metry to put my pov again. The way I see it:

he came to offer his condolences and offer comfort to his children (sons-in-law and daughters) and the queens.

But on reaching the rajbhavan, he saw bharat in that state and ready to go off to van to fetch ram back. I have no complaints reg. his encouraging bharat and explaining to mandvi - those IMO were really awesome scenes.

I also don't have issues with his being the head /Judge during the dharma sabha.. he was the best person to judge..the reasons are what u wrote. While all this was implied (His being knowledgeable, impartial n not swayed by emotions or common fallacies)... I just wanted an exchange of dialogues between him and vashishtha, when he was called upon to judge - something like this:

J - but I don't think I have a right t have a say in this matter being sita, urmila mandvi's father, Please don't put me in this dharam sankat.

V - I am not askinh you as the girls' father. I sm asking the only person knowledgeable, qualified and justice-oriented enough to be able to judge without any bias...etc etc..

I hope u got my point now?

Just this one exchange of dialogues would have elevated that scene to altogether another level - just my pov.

Anyways its a v. small thing.. n as u rightly, it was implied.

I have just come back from the new year function.. I will read everyone's take and come back in the evening..

That's why I was wondering Shirley was your comment really for me😆😆 . And yes that dialogue you told would have made it clear. But you need to know one thing. It is Vashisth who has taken the decision. He is a Brahma Rishi. And he will not decide on someone just like that. So Janak has to deliver on that trust. And that's why I guess they used the title Rajarishi Janak not even Mithila ke Raja. It was a Rajrishi and Brahmarishi sitting in the sabha. And only those titles mattered. Atleast in Tetra yuga people behaved as per their titles unlike Kaliyuga where we know titles will be there, but then people living upto titles is altogether a different question.

And one more thing I will put. If Janak was the father of Sita. Then Vashisth was the guru of both Ram and Bharath. How difficult it would be for him to choose one of his pupil over another in an argument especially when everyone knows Ram is Vashisht's favorite student.

This is where you have to look with respect to Drona in Mahabharath. Here Vashisth chooses Ram's side as per the vedas and shastras giving clear cut reasons for his choice. But why did Drona choose Kauravas over Pandavas. What was his argument to choose one set of disciples over other set. Because he is indebted to the throne of Hastinapur that gave him an oppourtunity to teach the princes and because of which his son got half of Panchala. And Aswathama's loyalty was with Kauravas.

And Drupad he is with Pandavas because they are his daughter's husbands. Reason as simple as that.

Isnt that way alliances are formed these days also. Not Dharma decides it. But blood relations decide it right.

I watch almost every serial of 8 pm slot 😆 BHR, MAHPH and SKR. But as I have taken this responsibility of loops I can't skip the show at 8.

BHR I catch repeats. MAHPH they have cancelled 11 pm repeat 😡

Shirley the episode has an answer to every question of yours...

Till yday we had rajrishi. Today we get "pitaji" and so beautifully 👏 janaka janaki scene was a treat...

Loops continued...

First one "agnipariksha". Janaka's words have hit him back. And how!! Simply bravo!!!!! We get justification to janaka's involvement today through sita... As I said to understand ram we need janaka, mahadev and sita. Today I add smthn else. To understand janaka we need sita... Time and again sita has clarified janaka's stand in front of sunaina. Again ram starts understanding janaka through sita. Its like a web.. He understands janaka through sita and sita through janaka. Whatta connect... 👏👏

Second one " Ganga"

Ganga had blessed sita that juz like her sita will be considered pure... Today janaka said the same..

My gawd!!!!!

Third one

A loop has opened... Savita we were right... Ram is going to return these lost 14 yrs to his family and praja. Kaikeyi ram convo did confirm this today...

And see the placement... As ram kaikeyi talk every one watches them. Especially sita.. She's observing... Wow!!!!

Today's episode was heavy on emotional quotient.. Made me cry..

I so wished lakshman urmila convo was there.. But that eye lock took the cake... It was subtle and intense...

The last part was a double treat... ⭐️

Especially bharat walking off... Shatrughna calls him but he doesnt move from his place 👏 brilliant...

Kaushalya asks mandvi to go... Waah... I had loved the first scene.. The way the DILs are taken by their MILs. Most fav was kaushalya mandvi maybe because we weren't given any elaboration on their equation which I think we will get now...
