@Savitha ditto I was also thinking the same things you thought. It was also Lords way of telling never to lose hope. And if you decide to hold on, if you decide to fight there will be someone always by your side. The problem is we expect this person or that person. This relation or that relation. But relations doesn't matter, what matters is the connect. Who was Hanuman. A complete stranger. Still he takes it upon himself to bring sanjeevani from himadri because his connect and respect to Ram was so strong. And he believed in Ram's cause. And this is the point of beauty in Ramayana. That alliance with Sugreeva a complete stranger for the war on Lanka. Showing we never know who we will need and hence maintain good relations always.
And another point I want to mention is jeevatma part of Bharat. We see Bharat as an individual who decides to stand against adharma even when adharma has been done by his mother. Irrespective of getting power he wants to follow dharma. His actions deny Kaikeyi the first boon that Bharat will be on throne. He never takes it. So Bharat breaks vachan palan when he knew in that vachan palan lies adharma.
Now come to MB. Wasn't poor panchali looking at all the jeevatmas in that infamous hall of dice, wasn't she pleading for one jeevatama to stand up and say this is adharma. The elders, the gurus, the king and her husband were thinking that if they stop it they are doing adharma. Because they were adhering to theory. And Bharat was questioning the same dharma that gives pain. When none of the jeevatama's took a stand, the paramatma had to come for her rescue and in that fire the entire adharmi jeevatma's burned.
See that pain was Lord's way of telling take action. Change direction. When it didn't happen the intensity of pain increased leading to the death of Abhimanyu which finally forced the required action from the Pandavas.
Today's Bharat argument had solidified my belief that pain is Lords way of telling change direction. It is connected to Newton's first and second law of motion.
Every body continues to be in state of rest or continuous motion unless acted upon by an external force.
yes we all have inertia towards change. Manthara was the external force through which change was intiated in Ayodhya.
The force required is directly proportion to the mass of the body to give the required momentum
So if with small pain you are not changing direction to move you from your place large pain is given . If you continue again in the same path, more catastrophe. So when we are facing pain, think and change direction.

Hi
First let me introduce myself.

I m Shirley. I m in my late 30s and happily single. I love to read and write though my qualification is in management. I hold two MBA degrees.i joined IF a few years just to help tide over a personal tragedy. Then kuch toh log kahenge started and I m still addicted to that forum. I have written a few FFs and OSs there.
A few days back I was just browsing when I came across this forum of Skr. And this particular thread. The title itself attracted me so I started reading (first thread). I was awed and amazed by All your analysis and the way you all express yourselves!! And the hidden symbolism and parallels and all the meanings!!! What surprised me most was the fact that most of u are v v young. Your maturity simply amazed me - esp janhviji, shruthiji, shruthaji, charviji and miliji. Sorry if I missed anyone

Then I realized on second thoughts that u all have been struggling since a young age so that maturity is but natural.

Anyways after I read half the first thread I decided that I just have to watch skr even though I was not particularly interested in watching ramayan once again after the one I watched in my childhood. But the way you all praised the screenplay n the actors I decided to give it a try. M I glad I did !!!
It's just too good. I finally finished watching all episodes this morning.

Now can I join you all please on this thread? I am not as good as you all but can I participate and give my two cents when I feel that I have something to add?

SIYA KE RAM- 7/4/16:
THE SECRET OF LIFE

It would sound like a broken record.. But my my, dialogue writers please take a bow ppl... What depth.. 👏

I loved this whole debate... From yesterday... Shruthi you rightly said, sita understood prakriti in gyaan sabha and in dharma sabha she will understand sanskriti.. The process has started..

Whatta relation yaar... Wow... ⭐️ years ago the gyaan was given under rajrishi's chatrachaya. Once again today the debate was under his umbrella. Brilliant screenplay... Brilliant connections...

The roles were differently similar.. How?

Gyaan sabha had gargi and yagyavalkya. Dharma sabha had bharat and ram.

Gargi if one looks at her closely used her mind wisely. Her knowledge, observations and experiences take the form of curiosity. Her questions. She seeks answers. She feels women are only meant to sacrifice. She feels how can one attain the param gyaan if one is married. "Sambandh", " brahmacharya", "dharma", " bandhan" were the words she used... It was "sanskriti"

And my gawd!!!! Today these are the same virtues on which bharat played.

Yagyavalkya focussed on selflessness. "Prakriti" was his pivot. And he gave the right knowledge to exercise dharma. "Expectations", " selflessness " were the words used..

Today these virtues were applied by ram.

Gargi once convinced took a backseat. She accepted her defeat humbly. The very aspect that brought sita in awe of her.

Today as bharat sat down alone dejected, defeated and helpless... I could see, his subconscious mind had accepted it..
But what really made my heart bleed were his words "kya mere jeevan ka koi uddeshya nahi hai?" This was the masterstroke, especially after shiv parvati convo... "Uddeshya". Isn't it funny that we all as humans want to know what our aim is? Everyday every minute we only think what next. What now. What if and what not. This takes me back to yday's episode.. Ram's words " ma kaikeyi ke vachano mein aheet lag raha ho kadachit vo heet ho?"

"Kadachit mere vanvas ka uddeshya samay ke saath gyaat ho"

These lines on aim were a direct attack on the minds of ppl like me who take day in and day out to understand things and life. I always say, the day you start searching answers, life changes its questions..

Now as bharat asks what his aim of life is, the question takes a twisted form of his devotion.. I was like whistling when ram questioned bharat on his love for his brother. Was this the love for a person or love for his values? It was a direct attack on what our larger than lives shows and films portray. "Love at first sight" is a pretty impossible thing. U may like that person when u c him/her. Once you talk, you respect. Once u spend time with them you love. Once you get separated, you develop devotion.

What love is? The one that expects the person to always be in front of you or the one that selflessly perform their duties like an earth does by revolving around the sun? Like the sun does by shining everyday?

It was a beautiful connection- gyaan sabha and dharma sabha..

Gyaan sabha also had prakriti sanskriti. Dharma sabha also had prakriti sanskriti...

But why this sequence? Why were the sabhas called so?

As we know SKR is through sita's perspective, it was very important to see the difference between knowledge, education and application of knowledge.

Gyaan sabha gave a clear contrasting views between gargi and yagyavalkya. But what was common? When did gargi give up? The tym she understood that sanskriti prakriti is inseparable.

Earth will go on revolving, sun will go shining. But what's the use? Trees will grow, rivers will flow.. What's the use? Prakriti gains its value when sanskriti thrives. How? "Word of praise" is the secret. Prakriti will always be praised by the right ppl even when she endures pain and suffering.

What ram said today even when a man dies, his work, his virtues are always remembered. What he signalled towards was the eternity. What is eternal? "Prakriti".

Cmn to sanskriti, gargi had questioned yagyavalkya's marital status. 😆 2 2 wives.. And I still remember sunaina's concern " aj awashya koi rishi kupit honge" and I must say sunaina doesnt understand prakriti... Her thoughts revolve around what's shown, served, taught and meant. I guess that's the sole reason she doesnt appreciate gargi's questions. If janaka gave sita "gyaan", sunaina gave her "karma".

Even after having 2 wives, how and why could yagyavalkya attain siddhi? Attain enlightenment? Its his knowledge about " prakriti".

And that's the point where gargi backs off. She gets the message that both sanskriti and prakriti are related and one cannot attain param satya without these two.

Prakriti is eternal and sanskriti is temporary..

The bonding is complex...

Ram was yagyavalkya. Bharat was gargi.

Janaka's stance was with ram as it was a blend of prakriti and sanskriti.

Yesterday ram focussed on a crucial aspect of "ek" "anek"

Bharat could see one brother, one son, one praja, one king.

But ram could see the world...

And when this tact doesnt work, ram shrinks to "pitraroon".

Yday ram hinted, that if am directed towards forest I have to serve the greater good. I have to give back to prakriti. I am indebt to prakriti.

But as this doesnt work, ram points towards " pitraroon " again his debt towards prakriti. Cz if soul is not at peace how can prakriti can be at peace?

Kaikeyi's interference was nice... I loved the way she took back her words. I was reminded of my post on "of words". And she's bitten by her own bug. " maa aap ne mujhe apne vachano se mukta kar diya kintu pitaji ke vachno se kaise mukt karengi"

Bravo!!! 👏

Today I'll carve a connection- gyaan, dharma, uddeshya, prakriti, sanskriti, paristithi...

Sanskriti will make you curious. The curiosity will lead you to ask questions and you'll gain gyaan. The gyaan will make you follow your dharma in any paristithi. The dharma you follow will take you towards your uddeshya. Once you reach your uddeshya, you meet prakriti.

The cycle is for life. And what to do if you don't know your uddeshya? Do what ram does.. Make your dharma your uddeshya... The path will be clear...

Cmn to the question of the day-

There are two sabhas in our kitty. Will there be the third? Will sita give that chance? During banishment? During her last test? Will janaka be there to judge again? Will the sacrifice enlighten the minds? Will ram be an able judge just as janaka was? Will he really be the reflection of "Rajrishi"? Once ppl forget to acknowledge " prakriti", will luv kush question their agyaanta? Will luv kush make "sanskriti" acknowledge "prakriti"? How and when the balance will tip? Will ram really question his ability of justice? Will he really understand prakriti the same as he does today? If ram took the role of
"Sanskriti" by looking after his praja, didn't he shun away "prakriti" in the form of luv kush? Will "prakriti" come back knocking the doors of "sanskriti"?

Once again a sabha will be conducted. But roles reversed... Ram will assume the place of gargi and bharat. Luv kush will take the place of ram. Remember, the kids knew everything but ram didn't 😉. Again a gentle slap by prakriti...

Who'll be janaka? Is it? 😉 think think... It will be his reflection... His janaki.. 😉 the final decision maker with all dharma, gyaan, shastra and neeti.. The same words with which ram described rajrishi today. All the words will come back ram. They will come back with every rate of interest.

@Shirley first of all warm welcome. It is a honour for entire group our thread made you watch the show.do put your points. It is a group activity. Collectively we have arrived at many analysis. @dd I will make individual post on representative rule by Bharat. But today epi belonged to Janak. How he justified taking side of ram. How he took the example of debt to your ancestors or parents as the primary responsibility of a child. Yes the karma balance of our ancestors we have to pay if they have to be liberated. Want to put in detail. Hopefully can do tomorrow.
