Chapter 30
Anokhi was sitting lost in her dreamland reminiscing about the time spent with Shaurya in school. She started blushing and smiling to herself. She closed her eyes and flashes of Shaurya's smirk came in front as he brushed his long and slender fingers on her hand, making her gasp slightly with shock. Suddenly she opened her eyes and hit her head with her palm and started smiling goofily remembering how she had frantically looked around the room instead of enjoying the feel of his sweet touch. She shook her head, reprimanding herself.
'He is always careful and knows when and what he is doing'... thought Anokhi. 'When he was allotting the computer to everyone how smartly he gave me the computer which was a bit away from everyone else's. I didn't even realize then that he was doing that on purpose, but now when I think about it, I'm sure it was preplanned. Also, the way he went to everyone else first to help them with their problems and came to me last was also his plan I think, so he could sit longer with me and...' she smiled shyly looking at her hand.

Shaurya's condition was not much different than Anokhi...he too was lost in Anokhi's memories while involuntarily staring at his phone every few seconds that was in front of him in silent mode.
'She is so shy...not even once during the whole day did she looked me in the eye...every time I looked at her she turned her eyes down and when I was not looking at her she was busy staring at me...what am I going to do with her...' he thought and shook his head smiling. 'And the way she panicked and started looking around frantically when I touched her hand...Oh my God that was hilarious' he laughed out loud remembering her expressions. 'Ohhh, how I wish I could meet her alone...no, actually I do want to meet her alone so she doesn't panic and I can enjoy her company...but where can I meet her alone?? How can I meet her alone???'
He started brainstorming different possibilities...'Should I call her somewhere out to meet me?? But what if someone sees us...she can get in trouble or rather our future can get in trouble!! No way, that's too risky. We really have to think before doing any such thing. But then what to do?? Meeting outside is not a possible option...we already tried the school and meeting there alone is out of the question and in tuition also others are there...what to do??' he sadly wondered.
And before he could explore any further, his eyes caught the flashing light on his phone which brought him out of his thoughts, spreading a big smile on his face. He quickly glanced at the flashing name and switched his mobile off while simultaneously grabbing the landline to dial Anokhi's number.
"Why did you make me come to school?? I told you I will get trapped in questions... remember how Kohli Sir was asking me so many questions in the morning?? And, where were you?? Why exactly were you late?? If you hadn't arrived when you did and replied to him...what would I have said to him??" Anokhi bombarded Shaurya with so many questions without giving him a chance to say anything.
"Arre ruko ruko ruko ... ab main kuch boluin?? (Hey, wait wait wait...now, can I say something??) Shaurya interrupted.
"Haan to bolo na maine kab mana kiya?? Aap hi kuch bol nahi rahe ho!!" (Yes, so speak, when did I stop you?? It's you who's not saying anything!!) Anokhi replied defensively.
"Tum mujhe kuch bolne ka mauka dogi tabhi to main kuch bolunga!" (If you give me a chance, only then I can speak up!!) Shaurya replied while chuckling.
"Acha bolo!" (Okay, speak up then... you got your chance now!) Anokhi pouted and petulantly replied.
Shaurya chuckled at her tone and then he began in a serious tone "I already told you why I wanted you to come to school... I told you how much I wanted to see you and didn't wanna wait another day." He paused and then in a sad tone continued "We have so less days left... I want to see you as much as possible before leaving".
Hearing him Anokhi also became sad and asked with tears forming in her eyes "How many days?? Did your tickets arrive???"
"Yes they arrived...25 days left".
"That's it!!!" whispered Anokhi sadly as the tears in her eyes made their path down her cheeks.
Next couple of minutes both stayed silent...both were trying to control their emotions.
'I don't want her to be sad... I won't let her feel sad. That's what I had decided so that's what I will do' Shaurya thought, while controlling his emotions and keeping his sorrow aside, he asked Anokhi in hopes of distracting her "Jaan, what happened to you in school today??"
"What happened to me??" Anokhi confusingly asked.
"You KNOW what I'm talking about...you were royally ignoring me, and pretending like I'm not even there!!" Shaurya complained.
"What??!!" exclaimed Anokhi in shock. "When did I do that?? All day I was with you...even though, neither I had any idea about spending the entire day with you in the lab nor was I ready for it, but when exactly did I ignore you??" Anokhi snapped back at him.
"Oh yeah, I forgot you were busy all day talking to me, right??" Shaurya sarcastically asked.
"Oh, that" whispered Anokhi, realizing what he was indicating. "There were others around, what could I say in front of them??" Anokhi tried to explain her point.
"Hmm... So that means you won't talk to me at all?? Coz there's always someone around us..." Shaurya asked frustratingly.
"I didn't say that..."
"Oh, then you want us to meet alone??" Shaurya asked mischievously.
"Yes" Anokhi replied in the flow, but as soon as she realized what it meant, she continued in a hesitant but panicked tone "Noo.. no... I mean... I... I..." She sighed aloud and whispered "I don't know what I mean..." She staggered nervously.
Shaurya smirked after hearing her staggering nervous tone and asked "Why do you feel so shy from me??"
"Huh...what do you mean??" Anokhi asked in confusion.
"You can tell me how you feel without thinking twice, you are mine and I'm yours, you don't have to hide your feelings from me, I want you to tell me what's in your heart." Shaurya replied calmly and tried to make her understand that he will always be there for her and she doesn't need to be overly conscious about others all the time. "You don't need to worry about anything, leave it to me, okay??" Shaurya assured.
"Okay" Anokhi replied with a grin.
"Hmmm so now let's think about how we can meet alone...we both want that, right??" Shaurya asked teasingly.
Thinking Shaurya is being serious Anokhi replied "How can we meet alone??? Where will we meet alone??? I cannot come out anywhere to meet and it's not possible in school either and during tuition also others are there."
Shaurya smiled happily thinking 'I was just teasing, but finally she said how she really feels. She also wants to meet me alone.' Then he said to Anokhi "I know all this but what's our option then??? How can we meet alone??"
"Uhhh, I don't know!! Why are you asking me...didn't you say I shouldn't worry about anything and leave everything on you, so now you figure it out." Anokhi challenged him.
"Well okay then, I'll figure something out. But right now you answer a very important question."
"What?"
"When I come tomorrow will you look at me??" He asked with hope but then with irritation he added "Or will you ignore me and look everywhere else but me??"
Anokhi giggled hearing his irritated tone and lovingly replied "I will look at you...happy??"
"You sure, right???" Shaurya ecstatically replied.
"Yes, yes I'm sure!!"
"Okay good. And what will you wear tomorrow??" Suddenly out of the blue Shaurya asked.
"What??" Anokhi felt surprised. "Uhh I don't know, I haven't thought about it" Anokhi inadvertently replied.
"Should I tell you??" Shaurya asked.
"You?? You remember my clothes?? You have been noticing my clothes??" Anokhi asked, astonished.
"Yeah so???" Shaurya asked as if this was a very normal thing.
"What do you mean, so ? I'm just surprised...I didn't know you paid so much attention to me!! You make me feel so special."
"You ARE special, very special to me...you are my JAAN..." Shaurya lovingly replied.
"Okay tell me what do you want me to wear??" Anokhi asked politely with a broad smile.
"Everything looks wonderful on you Jaan, but my very favorite is your black suit...you look extra gorgeous in that. I desire to see you in that tomorrow."
"Wow!! That's my favorite dress too" Anokhi exclaimed excitedly.
"Really!! You will wear it then??"
"Yes of course I will. Anything else you want me to do??"
"This is good enough for now" Shaurya mischievously replied and smirked, thinking 'Now that I've found a way to meet you alone...rest I will do it myself.'

Standing in front of the mirror, Anokhi was untangling her hair. She was feeling a mixture of nervousness and excitement. Only 20 minutes left for Shaurya to reach.
Looking at her now untangled hair Anokhi was contemplating 'Should I make a ponytail or a plait??' But before she could decide she heard the doorbell. She quickly decided to make a ponytail as she mumbled irritatedly to herself "Who's ringing the bell??" While wrapping her hair tie she glanced towards the doorway and suddenly her fingers halted in the middle. She froze seeing Shaurya at the door and the foremost thing that occurred to her mind was 'Did I take 20 minutes to decide my hairstyle??? No, that can't be right!!' She looked up at the nearest wall clock and seeing the time she felt relieved 'Ahh...no it's only been 5 mins. But then how come he is here so early...' she thought as she walked towards the door to open it.
Anokhi smilingly opened the door. Shaurya smiled back at her and stepped inside. Anokhi turned around and walked towards the room and Shaurya followed. He couldn't help but admire her beautiful long silky straight waist length hair. Suddenly he felt the urge to run his fingers in her long tresses.
As they entered the room Anokhi stepped aside so he could walk over to his usual sitting place. Anokhi politely asked "Should I get your coffee???"
Shaurya sat on the couch and his eyes roamed on her from head to toe admiring her in his favorite black suit. He could see each and every curve of her in this body hugging dress.
Anokhi smiled shyly seeing him gazing at her and started fidgeting with her fingers and rolling her dupatta in her fingers nervously.
Shaurya smiled and shook his head, seeing her nervous, then he asked in a whispering tone "Is anyone home??"
Anokhi, who was standing a bit away from him nodded her head in NO.
Shaurya smiled and forwarded his hand towards Anokhi and nodded his head pointing to the couch next to him indicating Anokhi to sit there.
Anokhi hesitated for a few seconds as she felt butterflies fluttering around in her stomach, but then she couldn't resist, so putting her hand in his she took the seat next to him.
Shaurya smiled widely seeing her taking his hand and coming to sit next to him, he felt extremely happy seeing this progress...he could see that she was still shy, but was trying hard to come out of her shell and this effort of hers made him very happy. He covered her hand with his other hand and lovingly caressed her hand. Then he entwined her fingers with his.
Anokhi loved the way he held her hand lovingly. She couldn't take her eyes off from their entwined fingers and kept staring.
Shaurya waited, but when she didn't look at him, he forwarded his other hand towards her chin and tilted her head up so he could make her look in his eyes. He wanted to see her each and every reaction, expression while feeling him close. She looked up at him and smiled.
It was the first time after confessing their feelings that they got a chance to be so close, hand in hand, sitting next to each other, looking lovingly in each other's eyes, admiring each other...it just felt bliss...pure bliss.
"So you found a way for us to meet alone??" Anokhi asked, breaking the silence.
Shaurya smiled, his eyes twinkled with mischief and he nodded his head in yes. "I'm a smart guy" Shaurya boasted.
Anokhi giggled hearing his reply while nodding her head saying "I know."
Suddenly Shaurya moved his hand from her chin to her cheek and immediately Anokhi stopped giggling. He caressed her cheek lovingly while Anokhi just looked on, not knowing what he was gonna do next. Then Shaurya leaned a bit towards Anokhi as if he was gonna kiss.
"Hmmm okay...when we meet next time I will show you what's between your nose and chin and then I'll kiss you there..."
Anokhi moved back remembering his words from earlier and looked at him with widened eyes.
At first Shaurya was puzzled at her reaction but he soon deciphered the reason behind her reaction. As soon as he realized what was going on in her mind he untangled their fingers and forwarded his hand keeping it on her other cheek, now he was cupping her face with both of his hands. He asked softly, "Do you trust me??"
Anokhi nodded her head in a yes.
Shaurya smiled and leaned forward again and this time Anokhi didn't move back at all. Shaurya kissed her forehead making Anokhi smile and close her eyes in content.
Shaurya lingered a bit on her forehead while kissing, then moving back he noticed the contented smile on Anokhi's face and her closed eyes. Seeing this he also felt content and whispered "I love you Jaan!"
Hearing him, Anokhi's smile grew wide but before she could reciprocate, the noise of the doorbell broke their stance making Anokhi open her eyes and Shaurya remove his hands from Anokhi's face. Anokhi quickly stood up and went out of the room to open the door.
Throughout the class they kept stealing glances at each other whenever they could. After the class Shaurya left.
All the girls started discussing the farewell party for Shaurya. When to do the party?? What to get for him?? Who will get the gift??? Who will get the food, etc etc.
After discussing for some time they decided to do the party on the last day of their class and in the meantime they can all think of what to gift him. They wanted to give him something which is useful enough and he could easily take it along as well. They all decided to keep the party a surprise for him.
As they were about to leave, Anokhi reminded them "The fees is due next class. Do remember to bring it." It was always Anokhi who collected the fees from everyone and gave it to Shaurya.
After everyone left Anokhi smiled to herself, remembering their closeness...she looked at her hand, remembering how lovingly he forwarded his hand and how happy he got when she kept her hand in his...how sweetly he was holding her hand and caressing it...she closed her eyes and could still feel his hand. She remembered seeing so much love in his eyes when he held her chin and made her look in his eyes. Then her hand automatically moved to her forehead, thinking about his kiss...their first kiss. Suddenly she laughed at herself remembering how she moved back when he had leaned towards her at first. Everything about that evening was very special for her, she kept replaying it all in her mind again and again...his hand holding, him cupping her face lovingly, kissing her forehead, saying I Love You...everything.
Shaurya was also very happy, he was also reminiscing about everything that happened between them in the evening. He loved being so close to her, being able to touch her, hold her hand, say I Love You to her face to face. It all felt like a dream came true. 'I wish I could have hugged her too...then it would have been perfect...If only the others had come a few minutes later I would've gotten a chance to hug her' Shaurya thought disappointingly. 'Better luck next time... I will go early for the next class as well' he smirked at his own idea and his eyes had a mischievous glint.

After next tuition class
'Don't know what happened to him today??' Anokhi wondered once everyone left after tuition. 'He was happy when he came...he gave me a dazzling smile when I opened the door for him, but don't know what happened later. I know he was disappointed when he entered the room and saw the girls already there even though he was a bit early but the girls decided to come earlier today and discuss his farewell party and I couldn't say no. Still he was only disappointed then but by the time he left he was kinda upset. Hope I haven't done anything to upset him without realizing. God knows how I'm going to wait till tonight to talk to him.'
At Night on Phone
Shaurya called Anokhi after getting her missed call.
"Hello" whispered Anokhi.
"Hi"
'He still sounds upset...what's the matter with him??' Anokhi thought. As she didn't wanna wait any longer she straight away asked "What happened?? You sound pretty upset...Actually, when you left in the evening, you also seemed upset... Are you mad at me?? Did I do something??"
"First, you answer my question..." Shaurya said in an impassive tone.
Hearing his impassive tone Anokhi's heart skipped a beat in fear. "Hmmm" is all she could say.
"You and me, are we separate?? What's mine isn't yours??" Shaurya said calmly but his deadly silent tone was threatening
"Wwwhhy are yyyou aaasking like thaaat??" Anokhi stuttered in distress and confusion.
"Go and look under the sofa cushion where I was sitting."
"Huh! What's there??" Anokhi asked confusingly.
"Just go and see" Shaurya firmly replied.
"Okay!" Anokhi went and looked, she found some money there. She looked at it in confusion, while thinking where that money came from. As she walked back towards the phone, she realized it was the same money she had given him in the evening...the tuition fees she had collected from everyone. She picked up the phone and asked "Why did you leave the fees under the cushion??"
Shaurya felt even more irritated by her question. "So now you will pay me?? What's mine isn't yours??"
"But I've always paid you and it's not just mine, but everyone's fees..."
"There's no difference between earlier and now??" Shaurya asked, cutting her in between.
"Yes there is, but..."
"No buts... I am not taking money from you. You keep it."
"But how can I keep it?? And why do I have to keep it?? I don't even need it...what will I do with so much money?? If someone caught me with it and asked where it came from, what would I say??" Anokhi argued.
"What do you mean? Can't you hide it somewhere, for emergencies...you should have your own money, you might need it when I am not here for uhhh I don't know, for anything, just...just keep it okay."
"But I..."
"Anokhi, no buts. Anyway, I was thinking about giving you some cash before going, for any emergencies." Shaurya declared firmly, his tone was much harsher than he intended.
"What emergency??" she asked and then sadly added "You called me Anokhi, you really are mad at me..."
Hearing her sad tone Shaurya immediately realized that he went a bit overboard with his irritation...he softly said "Jaan, I'm not mad at you...I'm just irritated. I was looking forward to spending a few minutes with you before everyone else comes but they were all already there when I reached and then on top of it, you gave me the money and I kinda lost it. Sorry Jaan, I'm not mad at you."
"Seeing others you were irritated, I get it, but I still don't understand what was the problem in taking the fees." Anokhi nervously asked.
"Offo, I am not taking that money and you have to keep it...no more arguments" Shaurya concluded.
"Fine" she said to Shaurya and mumbled to herself 'like I have a choice here.'
"What??"
"Nothing"
"Ok forget all this, come here" Shaurya said extra sweetly.
Anokhi shook her head and smiled. "You got mad at me for such a small thing and scared the heck out of me..." She complained softly
"Sorry... I didn't mean to scare you Jaan...sorry!" He genuinely apologized.
"It's okay, don't worry..."
"Awww, you are so sweet...you forgave me so easily... I love you so much."
"I love you too" Anokhi said and giggled.
Then they continued their nightly banter.

So sorry...last 4updates I have been a silent reader ..was very much stuck with work..somehow found few mins to have a quick read.
The confession was superb...I mean beyond my expectations...it's was so natural...never sounded odd.
Their progress in the relationship seemed so realistic.. every description of their feelings felt so true and natural..
Loving this small cute moments of love... N I am already panicking how will we do with anokhi stuck here and Shaurya in USA. Hopefully u have stored something great!!
