I think she was selected because of her innocence, silent nature, n her sweet voice. Her eyes speaks everything. She doesn't hv to say a word. Her acting is superb. Less dialogue is given to her but then she was doing a superb job in shakti. I'm a fan of vivian frm pkyek n now i started liking rubina too. N Rubina hv a beautiful face, she doesn't look like transgender.

Frankly I think so too. In the wedding episode, rubina in that makeup was looking less feminine. But I don't think she's chosen because of that. It's a coincidence I suppose. I hope you are not making fun of her and only pointing this out.

First of all she is selected because

1. Of her innocent looks and voice

2.Her superb acting which fetched her Dada Saheb Phalke award

3. Her beauitful ness

4.Her dare to experiment the character'

Seriously in what way does she look like a TG to you... may be it will be better if you check your eyes
