2 of my sisters are doctors. and they have night duties but their inlaws or the neighbours never said anything against it. probably being a doctor they earned society's respect. though MIL of one of them sometimes get upset if she has to leave at 2am but mainly because she didn't get enough rest

I agree with everyone in that there is more preference for guys to work night shifts than the ladies and the usual reasoning revolves around the safety factor. I myself am currently taking a night class (something I'd rather not do but this class is important so it needs to be done) and my parents often worry about me when I'm out at such a late hour. In case of Suhana, I'd say that her chosen field demands such absurd times and Rano should've thought this through before agreeing to it. Also, she needs to be more assertive in her opinions and the Kashyaps need to be more understanding rather than casting her worries and opinions aside. Another thing is that I think Suhana should also try to work things out with her director about late hours. Instead of fooling around and having a lot of NGs (aka bloopers), she should get her work done in a timely manner by remaining focused on her job. There are a lot of time constraints in this field and everyone has to work around it.
I also agree with Netri that TV industry is a bit of a badnaam one. Gossip tends to lead to bad image of actors and even a tiny mistake can be so costly.

I have heard so many incidences regarding the actors - Actresses & Not to mention people who work behind the camera . Not a good one say the least . So Yes , Rano too is worried abt all the things that can go bad in the line of work . V the gossip incidences , right or wrong affect us specially those who live in middle class families . Those r the once who live by Society 's rules & regulations . [ Rules r not written in stone ]

Yes indeed it is one of most infamous places to work but aren't all places like that in one way or another? A nurse in the hospital I work, was attacked by a mentally ill patient. She was hospitalised for weeks and was off work for over 6 months! When its a question of safety then I know clearly that it doesnn't matter where you are or what you do, anything can happen anywhere, and when its least expected! Of course please don't think I am going against what you are saying, I agree with you fully but to be living in this day an age one has to be open minded. Otherwise you will become like Rano! I really have seen people work in worse and more volatile conditions!

World has change since I was young . But there r still stories in Tabloids that brings us the worst news from the industries . [ Even though there r some in the world who spread worst news abt themselves ( God knows Y ) ] but as I said , V always remember the wrong stories than right one or happy ones .

That is sensationalism for you. The media loves to publicise dirt! Why because of the public. Its such a shame that a negative story gets more limelight than the opposite!

My last Job , I used to work at night . My hubby was OK with it . My In - Laws were not . They were worried as what if something happens to me while on way back or what if someone hurt me ? V [ both of Us ] tried our best to have talk with them to give them piece of mind . which clear the doubt in their mind .

Its good to talk. Communication is the only way to deal with problems, however big or small they may be. Nothing else works!

As for would I want My DIL or Daughter to work as Actress ? I might b not comfortable at first but I m willing to see things from her POV. As I hope she also see My POV . V have to walk a mile in each other's shoes. I would also offer to stay with her while she has to work . If she let me I would follow her every where [ With her consent ] Not stalking her though.

Really? You would follow her? Hahaha...I can imagine you doing that! 😆I personally have no issues. If the job demands it then, so be it. As long the people conerned are ok then I am ok too. For me whats most important is that will they be able to cope with the odd hours? If they can, then great!

As for My child working at night? [ Any where ] Well , Job is job . but I would prefer Day . I give my POV but end of the day they have to make a choice .

Exactly its whatever works for them!

For me , What is most important for me ? Nothing is important to me than My Family . There is nothing I won't do for them . give up a Job I love in a heart beat . Without shedding a tear . Never once utter what I did for them . I won;t do anything My Hubby is not happy with . Nor would he . End of the day , V have to make a choice what V want .

Of course if it affected family life and they were unhappy then without a doubt, one should give up the job if the hours can not be negotiated, for nothing is more important than family!
