Ahem is in his office thinking about what his father has said, he has not come up with any conclusions. As far as Gopi is concerned, his thinking, she will only be there temporarily, his feelings for her have not changed. It is a good thing if she has made changes in her life, at least this will not worry his mom later when she leave. As for him his going to put his life on hold until Kinjle gets married, then he will think about what to do, meanwhile he will concentrate on his work, and keeping his mom worry free.

Later his father calls him and tells him to stop to see Gopi because she wants to talk to him, and if she agrees to bring her back home with him. He hangs up the phone, thinking now what? What does she want from him? His thinking at this point he does not care, he will make her come home, and make it clear it will be temporary, for his mom's sake and for Modi reputation. In his mind his thinking that's the least she could do, after all his mom was there for her all those month when she was living there. He decided to leave work early to talk to her and take her home that night.

Gopi is thinking about going back to MM, she is little fearful of getting too involved again. She knows this will be a temporary stay for her, her mind knows that, but there is always hope in her heart, she know it will never happen and resolved to control her hear little more firmly. She knows its not health for her to hope for anything, but she wants her temporary existent to be peaceful, even if she get treated like a common household furniture that is fine with her, but she know that she doesn't want Ahem to loose his temper, and take his anger out on her for something she has not done. She will decide what to do with her life after this temporary setback. But she will do everything in her power not to get trapped in the love and affections of the Modi family.

Later that evening one of her friends at the shelter come to get her because someone is there to see her. Gopi know exactly who it is and composed herself. Told her friend she would be there in few minutes. When she is alone, she takes a deep breath and gathers her courage and thinks if he gets mad, she will not go with him, nothing is worth putting up with his temper. After few minutes she walks out of her room.

Ahem is standing by his car watching the activities around and impressed with the shelter. There were kids playing in the play ground, some were sitting with their books studying, he looked around when he heard someone call Gopi's name and he froze in place. He was watching her talking to one of the ladies, she looked so serious and reserved, even at a distance he could tell she was holding herself back. She was dressed different, no gujarati style sari, but bengali style, her hair was not tied back, they were parted to side, she looked more slender, as if she has lost weight in recent months. She looks like she hadn't smiled in a long time, and does not intend to start anytime soon. Her face was devoid of all emotions, she was more reserved, she didn't look innocent or naive anymore. His thinking she doesn't look afraid or timid anymore, like his father had said that morning, she was more confident.

Gopi has noticed him looking at her from the corner of her eyes, but she did not look his way, she was telling one of the ladies in charge that she may be leaving that evening and what she would do with the little things she had in her room. She did not want them to hold her room, there may be someone who needs it, finally the lady left and she started walking toward where Ahem is standing. She comes near him she stops, they both look at each other for a minute.

To Gopi, Ahem also looked different, he was still handsome, but there was a change in him that she could not describe, even to herself, but she could tell something was different. She lets it go and thinks I shouldn't worry about him, he knows how to take care of himself. She thinks to her self, bit bitterly, this is Ahem Modi an arrogant man who doesn't want or need anyone, except support from his mom and to be left alone to run his business empire, those are the only things he care about, oh and the love of his life Anita. Damn, why is she thinking this way, this is only temporary and remind herself to think with her head instead of her heart.
