Welcome back to the early 90s. Perfect my kind of a track.

Whats great about this track is the perfect blend of singing, even though the tune is pretty simple and straightforward. From the beginning to the end, there isnt a moment when you would feel bored after listening to it. And udit's voice is just an icing on the cake.
The best part-he sings with an air of openness, which of course is his USP and despite the scale limitations in this track, he makes the most out of it and even makes an easy song look like a bit difficult. The tonal quality and music, is again very nice.

Now back to basics approach works perfectly and this is shown in the third verse, where the singing and those small harkats used show the utmost attention to detail that reeks on his voice. Modulation leaves a very less scope here, yet again he makes the most of it with varying tempo, a good thing.

The music is decent and gels well with the mood of the situation of the track, especially the beginning with a guitar, which is just amazing. his first word-jadoo-reeks of his quality. The voice is varied low-high-low-medium, again great for that time. Moreover, it sounds refreshing even after 2 decades. That is what is evergreen cult is called. All round of a track for every mood or time. Listen to it and enjoy.

9/10.

Though the music is so simple, its Udit Ji's voice which makes it so melodious..
I would give 8/10 (I am not quite generous in giving points)

There were several songs in 80s that I loved so much. Especially one of my favorite of Udit ji is from Qayamat se qayamat tak.
Well coming back to this song. A beautiful song sung by Udit ji. He has such a magical voice which can easily make u fall in love.
He sung with so much feelings. Luv it !!!

There's something so coherent in his singing, that I can't deconstruct the effect of his performances on me. His voice is so beautiful yet masculine. His expression so genuine. And his gaayaki is always spot on. But his singing is always more than the some of its parts imo.
Great singer. Great singing. Great song.
Since I'm no longer a judge, I don't need to subject my ears to all songs in a round (e.g. Atif) and I don't need to be superficially pedantic about points.
9/10 and all my respects to Uditji

I am happy u are being really honest about the Points. 😉
