Nice decent performance from her, though it could have been better.. but still it showed a scale of improvement from her last performance.. 😊

Mampee did participate in bengali sgmp, I had noticed how beautifully she sang Asha Bhonsleji's songs. Infact she had made Alka Yagnik cry with her rendition. Unfortunately she couldn't take the pressure and decided to pull out of the competition towards the end. Any way, I think she is superb singer and if she can keep up with her riyaz she will go a long way. She probably is not bengali because her last name proves so but perhaps grew up in bengal.

Maampee is my favourite singer. Maampee might be Bengali, although her last name is Nair which is a Keralite Malayalee Surname. I read somewhere she is from Shillong, Meghalay. I would like her to win the Sare Gamapa crown. Her last song Saawan Beeta Jaye was excellent but she got competition from Abhilasha, Sugandha and Sniti who are all tough and very good singers. Maampee's audition song was the best when she sang Rena Beeti Jaye and she was the best of all the singers this year. She has not equalled that peformance, and nobody has been close to that according to me. I listen to it every day. I live in the USA, I just started watching the show and I have started loving it.

She has come into the competition with a formidable background with regard to singing and i feel she has not performed to that level till date. Consistent performances from Sniti, Sugandha, Shreyasi etc will push her back. She needs to buck up and pretty soon at that. Nahi tho train nikal jaayegi 😃
