AlZia Two Shot
"Raat ka farishta"
Razia had left her home town to bring her family back home, the journey was long and tiring but nothing came in Razia's way when she had made her mind, with hope in her heart and her ever beautiful smile she sat in her cart peeking outside at the beautiful sunset.
"Aisa bhi kya khaas he is doopte suraj me shehzaadi jo aapki nazren is se hat hi nahi rahi" asked Chanda curiously
"Kehne ko to ye doopta chaand hai par iski jesi khoobsoorti to us chaand main bhi nahi hoti to apni chaandni se raat ko roshan rakhta hai" replied Razia witout moving her eyes from the sun
"Shehzaadi aapki baaten hamari samjh me to nahi aati, humen to chaand ka hi intizaar hai aaj to poonam ki raat hai" chanda said excitedly
"Kyun k tum chanda ho, ab chup karo hamen dekhne to sooraj ko" Razia shut Chanda up.
The sun set and the moon took over, a cool breeze blew and when it touched Razia's face she got alarmed.
"kya hua shehzaadi? aapko thandi hawa pasand nahi to main parde gira dun" Fatima asked
"nahi aisi baat nahi, pata nahi kya tha is hawa main, kuch ajeeb sa mehsoos hua hamen" Razia was confused
"Kahin aapko us dupatta chor subedaar ki to yaad nahi aa rhi shehzaadi" Chanda teased, "dupatte k saath aapka sukh chen to na chura le gaya wo?"
"Chanda" Razia almost shouted, "apni zubaan pe lagam do, aisa kuch nahi he, uski waja se ruknuddin ko subedaari mil gai hamen uske ziqr se bhi nafrat he"
"Par shehzaadi, usne jo Shehzaade nasir ka badla liya Ruknuddin se wo kese bhool gai aap" Fatima sopke carefully
"Jo bhi ho uske aane ka koi faida nahi hua, ulta jhooti umeedon ki waja se baat aur bigad gai" Razia complained, "hamen uska ziqr nahi karna bas"
Suddenly her cart came to a jerky halt, and they heard alot of noises, horses, swords men yelling, they got scared.
"Shehzaadi bahar kuch gadbad lag rahi hai" Chanda said worried.
Razia nodded. They heard some footsteps nearing them, Chanda and Fatima held each other's hands tightly, Razia took out her knife.
"Rajkumari, hum he Raana Maarkand, dushmanon ne aakramand kar diya hai unke log kaafi ziada hain, aap waster pariwartan kar lijiye apni daasi se aur yahan se bhaag jaiye paas main hi ek gaaon he agar jeewan raha to aap se wahin milenge" Raana sopke quickly out of breath
"Lekin Raana jee hum apni waja se inki jaan kese.." Razia was not in favour of the idea
"Shehzaadi Raana jee sahi keh rahe hen, pakde jaane par hum bta denge hum aap nahi par tab tak aap zarur mehfoos hojayengi aap mere kapde pehen lijiye" Fatima put a brave front
"Rajkumari same kam he, aapki suraksha ka zima Sultan ne hamen diya tha, kripiya hamari sahita kijiye" Raana requested
"Theek hai hum jaate hen" Razia agreed and quickly swaped clothes with Fatima, but she didn't put on the veil like her instead she wrapped the veil around like a warrior, took her knife and left the cart with chanda.
"aage jaa k humare kapde pehen lijiye ga rajkumari ta k khatre ki koi gunjaish na reh jaye" Chanda explained
Razia nodded, they ran away and after a while swapped clothes again. Razia hid her face and walked towards a new direction, unaware where it led, she kept walking and was breathless.
"wo dekho wo rahi" some man from a little distance shouted, and then alot men tried to approach her.
Razia grabbed her knife tight and ran quickly, but in the way she tripped over a hard rock, and as she stood up she saw all the men encircling her.
"Ab bach ke kahan jaaogi" said an ugly man. The man walked close to touch her, Razia was planning an attack though she knew her chances were low but she never learned to give up, and just before she could or the man could, the man was on the ground as someone had kicked him on his chest, and like a shield he landed infront of Razia and pulled out his sword.
"Ama tum log bhi bade hi buzdil ho, ek akeli nihati ladki pe zor azmana bhalla kahan ki mardangi hui, jo bazoon main ho dum to humse do do haath kr k dekh lo" he said in a carefree style.
Razia's heart skipped a beat.
"Humne ye awaz kahin sunni hai" she tought
"to ab tu bachayega ise?" one of the bad men spoke
"yahin to galti kardete ho na miyan, bachane wala to wo Khuda hai, humen to bas maseehah bana k bhej diya usne, aur wo kya hai na tum jaise shaitaan jidhar bhi honge hum jese mamooli logon ko wahan aana hi padega" his voice was so cool and confident
"bohot charbi he na to aa"
and the fight began, but he was too good for them all, once he even touched them they couldn't get up. Razia slowly and steadily tried to get away of there, she was a little far when some one pulled her and pinned her to the nearby tree, and put a hand on her mouth. As soon as she looked up she was stunned, and was soon lost in big deep grey eyes, at once she recognized them, she could never forget those eyes, she would recognize them in a huge crowd or even if woken up from deep sleep.
"ama aap aurton ki adaayen Khuda hi bachaye" he teased, and then removed his hand from her mouth which dropped open quickly.
"Aap wahi hen na?" Razia asked in anger and frustration "wahi dargah wale dupatta chor, jinhone ruknuddin ko haraya tha? dekhiye muqarne ki koshish bhi mat kijiye ga hum ache se pehchante hen aapki ankhon ko"
Altunia smirked. "Oh to aapko bhi hamari yaadon ne us qadar hi sataya jitna k hamen aapne"
"humne aisa nahi kaha" Razia turned her face. "Aur ab aap kya kar rahen hen yahan?"
"Hum to bas yunhi chal rahe the k hawaon main aapki khusboo agai, so hum soonghte soonghate aap tak pohonch gaye" he sniffed the air as he spoke
"Aap baat ko ghumaiye mat, aap ki diqat kya hai aakhir, baar baar hamare maamle me dhaqal andazi krte hen aap, kyun bachai hamari jaan jab aap do pal baad phirse gayab hone hi waale hen? aur abhi to hum bach gaye to kyun aye hen hamare saamne phirse?" she talked in one breath
Altunia came closer to her and she hit the tree again, he put his arms on the tree capturing her in between.
"Humne aapki jaan nahi, hamari zindagi bachai hai, aur hum aapke paas phirse isiliye aaye hen ke aap abhi bhi akeli hen aur ye jungle khauf se bhara hua, agar humne aapko akela jaane diya to Khuda to hamen maaf kre ya na kre par Mirza Altunia apne aapko kabhi maaf nahi kar payega" as he spoke, his breath, as it touched her skin, gave her goose bumps, she was unable to look into the fury of his eyes, that had anger and something that she wanted to ignore, something that she could clearly see and couldn't avoid, something that made her feel special, something that made her feel that she was beautiful, fragile and completely safe with him by her side.
"Aap..aap" she tried to spoke but words were failing her, her tongue was unwilling to move "aap us din..wahan se chale kyun gaye?"
Altunia smiled and moved away. "Hazaar swalon me aapko yehi ek sawal mila humse poochne ko?" he laughed. "Ama wo bhi koi muqabla tha jisko jeet k jashan manate hum, inaam me subedaari ko hasil kr bhi kya teer maar lete hum"
"Delhi ki subedaari ko aap kam aank rahe hen?" Razia asked shocked
"Zindagi me sirf ek yehi jung nahi jeetni hamen, aur wese bhi haare huye sipahi ko inaam dete waqt Sultan ki tauheen hojati"
"haara hua sipahi? par aap to jeet gaye the?"
He turned with a smile that paralyzed Razia.
"Muqabla to jeet gaye par...apna dil to haar chuke hum"
They stared at each other as silence took over.
