Well such kind of roles for a female lead are next to impossible on TV. Hard to find a PH daring enough.
Even in BW, I think there had been only two attempts, one Sadma and recently Barfi.

They just need an character that connects well with the audience then it can work!! Instead of being given second lead in the show!! Like Aamir Khan in Dhoom 3 , his character had his own monologues and we got see his secret thoughts and feelings!! 😊 Sorry, I haven't seen Barfi or My Name is Khan! 😳

Agree I still cry while watching Sadma and am a fan of PC for her being daring to do different roles.

The thing is TV is too cliched. If such an attempt is made it will be a BW producer foraying into TV with a finite series and one who is stickler enough not to give in to channel or TRP pressure.

I too wish for such a role for Sanaya, that would be indeed awesome.
