I watched one episode. Didn't like it. From what I gather the heroine is avenging some girl the hero raped? IDK why its set in Kolkata, there is absolutely nothing bong in the show, except for Durga puja and copious shots of howrah bridge obviously. And the chick's name is Durga as well.

I caught ONE scene in which the female lead who is conveniently called Durga Thakur dances in front of the idol at a Durga Puja in a red and white saree.

I don't think it is possible to stuff anymore stereotypes into ONE scene.

Also, no one dances like that at Durga Pujas. It is just setting non-Bengalis up for disappointment.

As if you really get people to clear up the front area of the pandal so you could do an impromptu dance performance with the dhunuchi and all. Real life mein getting to the pandal and doing darshan is a struggle itself, its so crowded all the time!😆
