Confused between modes of portrayal?

What exactly is this show aiming to be? Subtle, understated and life-like, OR:
Larger-than-life, action-and-melodrama-ish?

Writers, don't keep ping-ponging between the two. Choose ONE.

why should they settle for one...there is beauty in both...there are ppl who like subtle and there are those who like loud...some scenes call for subtle and some demand loud...as long as that is taken care...both is good...

well while i personally am all for understated and subtle.. well if the serial is to survive i guess they need all types of folks to watch it buddy...
I guess my reason for watching being Sanaya allows me to enjoy it no matter which way it goes.. But so far I have enjoyed the show too..

Dishum dishum is not my type.. but yesterday's emotional breakdowns were so me!! I am a sucker for them..

see the contradictions in just 1 me!😆 hehe so let the writers do what they want!!

I am just praying for good TRPs!!

I'm talking about the portions where the two clash with each other. For e.g., the Vande Mataram sequence was jarring and jingoistic.

umm i am one of the few who is not at all fond of that episode. for the 1st time i fast forwarded some parts of RR.. but i put it down to being an outsider..
r u an Indian? if yes i can accept it was plain bad.. i just thought i might not have been able to get in touch with some of the patriotic emotions..

I agree. And I think there were a few of us who were starting to get annoyed with it. I think they have done the granduer bit, now time to focus on the story and the emotional quotient.

yes, I want to see the story told now
in a beautiful way sans the violence and melodrama.

ok, given the premise of the show -- that he's a soldier and there is illegal activity galore,
that the Thakur-BSD fight is a central thread of the show,
and that Rudra is such a dark, angry damaged soul, almost a beast on the outside. So violence is a leitmotif, but can it move to the background now? as a backdrop, and be shown in an understated, parsimonious way when necessary, but not in your face!

Waiting to see how the emotions are tackled, how they are felt, experienced, expressed and how love finds room to eventually blossom in this barren landscape of their hearts.
