Wowww... I had no idea at all that there was some stress in the air of this thread. The only reason I wrote the comment on being all ready for CASA to move into another place was after I read one post of Aditee where she mentioned that she will be moving the tale to a blog on this weekend. Didn't know the reason she posted that was bcz of something else. (sometimes I skip some pages/comments in a thread) I have been waiting for a long time to write a few words for CASA, ( was catching up on the story) and so far from all the comments that I have read, didn't see any malice or problem brewing between anyone and I liked this fact about this place.
Don't know what caused what, but just want to say to Aditee that few negative comments/hate doesn't make the slightest affect in the love that we all others have for you & CASA. I shall follow you wherever u go (if u allow me to :p) So, Long Live CASA & everything that follows it!

Shaan is sprawled on the couch, just gotten back from a three hour squash game with friends followed by lunch at the Feenix. The lil guy is trying to climb over his chest, sucking on the tip of Shaan's nose. He drools all over, long spiky needle like drops''. He gurgles as he climbs on his uncle.

Every milestone gets rewarded with a squishy hug from Chachu. His UMASS tee is soaked'' Akshay is sitting by him, they are watching some recorded SF 49ers game on TV

Khushboo enters, dressed appropriately for a Sat afternoon in capris and a sleeveless chiffon blouse.

Shaan: what do you feed this guy? Miracle Gro? (fertilizer available in the US) Gosh hes fat!

Boo: Knock it off Shaan! Hes healthy

Akki: Hes like how YOU used to be at 6 months man!

Shaan: What? (incredulous)

Akki: Yep!

Shaan refuses to admit it though there are pics all over the walls.

The lil guy is almost bald except for a silky tuft on top, he is now after his Chachu's cheeks.

Boo: Are you sure your aftershave is non-toxic?

For a split second it reminds him of a question from someone in a different setting'.. his heart races at the memory''

Shaan: It should taste like lemon

Akki: Add it to my drink man!

The guys laugh

The baby rolls like a ball of dough on his Chahu's arms

Shaan: He is like an open faucet Bhabhi'

Boo: Its called teething Einstien!

He holds the baby in front of his face and peeks inside his mouth like it were a specimen in a lab

A bug gurgle precedes a long generous splash of drool'.

Amogh goes for his chachu's nose again, Shaan can feel the bald gums'' grins'..

Shaan: He does this all day?

Akki: And nite''.

Shaan: Does he not sleep?

Akki: Haan jab main Taiwan mein hota hoon ya Sao Paolo mein (disgusted)

Shaan laughs out loud

Boo: Not funny Akshay! (sternly)

Shaan: Man, you guys must be sleep deprived

Akki: And s--- deprived I tell you

Boo flings a cushion at her husband, it lands on the baby, almost '''.Shaan catches it''

Shaan: Oooh! That's not good!

Boo: Hold off on those pity points''. (mocks)

Akki: Shes right''.

Husband and wife exchange a heated look

Shaan cuddles the baby

He starts to whine

Boo: Its nanny's day off, so Chachu is the nanny today

Shaan: I am going out for a drink in a while, Bhayya's going too'

Boo: Not you Akshay!

Akki: I will be back at 9 Khushboo

Pause

Akki: I don't see the guy any more. He will be gone on Tuesday. Please?

Boo relents

The baby whines and rubs his face all over his Chachu's and screams

Boo gets up in a huff, "First rule: Shave, shave shave" (grabs the baby possessively)

Shaan rubs his jaw, he can hear the rasp''

Boo starts cajoling the baby, and leaves the room to feed him'..

Akki: So whats going on with you man?

Shaan: Casa, DLF, Samar is here, its full

Akki: there was a wife too wasn't there?

Shaan (cool, aloof) Yep! There was''

Akki: How come you forgot to list her

Shaan: Did not forget''..

Akki: Was Dad in Delhi?

sHAAN: hmmm

Akki: Did he meet her?

Shaan: Yep

Shaan is texting

Akki: Didn't help?

Shaan: does it look like it? (pissed)

Akki: I am sorry!

Shaan: Nope!... don't worry

Akki: Ive seen how she looks at you' enthralled'..

Shaan smirks, runs his hand thru his hair

Akki slaps his thigh "It will all work out man!"

Akki's phone rings, he looks at it and ignores the call

Akki: What do you miss the most?

Shaan: The truth or the "right" answer? (grins)

Akki: No! Not allwoed to say s---

Shaan: WHAT? That's lame

Akki: Ok fine, out with it

Shaan stands up walk to the balcony and stares out " The quick wit...The silences, her intelligence, her hair, those eyes'. Disapproving when I am on the phone always, or grab a second scotch, accusing when she is mad, fervent, obsessive when I make love"
