I really dunno whether u know me or not..
But i felt this post as targeted post...
I thought to ignore this post.
Bcoz i wont post any -ve comments or any demands - y coz i know everyone's story is a fanfic story n a writer have their own views n ideas..
I understand ur view. But i wont agree ur points completely.. Bcoz i felt somewhere u targeted a reader who asked for erotic content blah blah..
U know choco when readers give suggestion? they give only when they consider a writer as a friend.. Well here u are saying not to give suggestion not even in a friendly manner..
as a reader i would like to tell something...
ie,. a matured writer should accept the criticism. up's n downs are common here.
I know how writers put their effort n how it will hurt when 1 give -ve comment.
If anyone's negative comment hurts then it should be better if they neglect it.. That's called maturity.
Many writers accept criticism. Coz they took it sportively and it will surely increase the readers.
Even many writers ask the readers to give suggestion.. Y coz It'll improve the reader n writer rapport..
I know other than romance there is lot of emotions messages are needed in stories..
But there is lots of difference between mature content n normal romance..
If any1 ask the writer to give mature content than y can't the writer calmly explain them the actual fact n need.
without explain it - if they plan to quit then completely its their fault.
See i always give positive comments..
But If i found any update is not okay then as a reader should not i have the rights to suggest something..
Accepting or nor accepting is next...
Also demanding n giving suggestion is different..
Its all depends upon the word we use, thats it..

Y can't the writers tell them frankly their opinion... Follwing nor follwing is upto them..
Ps: even im not okay with erotic part.. But romance i love it yaar..
Ps: If anyone ask u to write mature content plz tell them straightly ur view.
See many writers are here who love to write mature content even many readers are here who love to read mature content...
Its all depend on their own view...
Ps: my post is not mean to hurt anyone..
If its hurt then im sorry

Hey Anitha, Yes I have seen you around but we have never interacted.

I understand what you are saying, But my post here was not about mature content in stories. It was about readers not accepting twists in stories after a good dose of romace that has already been dished out.

I love stories with mature content too and Juliet and Tamara know that.

I really fail to understand why a post about comments has turned into a war zone between errotic stories and non errotic stories.

P.S. Please do read my comment on page 9 too.

Ok, I think most of the readers have misunderstood what I said in the post. Let me clarify a few points.

1) I didnt say dont give negative feedback. I said dont start complaining as soon as a twist is introduced

2) If a reader can enjoy 10 chapters of romance, they should let the writer develop the story too, and for that twists are required.

3) THIS IS NOT ABOUT MY STORY OR WHAT I FACE. IT IS WHAT I HAVE READ ON OTHER THREADS AND THOUGHT NEEDED TO BE ADDRESSED.

4) People want to read stories, but what is a story without twists. Why do writers get complaints for introducing twists? No one was complaining for the first 10 when there was only romance.

5) Give the writer some time to smothe things out after a twist is introduced.

6) I too love reading romance but what is a love story without any drama. You need to have some ups and downs in the story for it to feel complete and then enjoy the romance.

If still the reader is unhappy with this post and felt targetted, then theres nothing I can say more to make my stance clear.

MY POST WAS TO HIGHLITE THE PREVIOUS 6 POINTS.

Please people stop making my post a place to vent anger against a certain type of story, mature or not I dont care.

Hey Dear,
I second your thoughts here too. I think the readers of this thread have misunderstood the intention behind it. Most of the comments that I went through were regarding erotic stuff.
Though the main point was respecting the views of the writer & giving him/her the space & liberty to create & develop the characters & plot.
It is also not about wanting or demanding positive feedback from the readers. Readers have the right to express their thoughts too on the storyline but pressuring the writer to introduce or cut short a track due to their dislike isn't proper.
I hope instead of quarrelling here verbally & thinking of this post to be targeted against certain somebody, we as readers should realize our responsibility to maintain a good atmosphere on the thread.
Again, I'm not saying don't voice your opinion, all I'm saying is be subtle if you dislike something, respond positively to how the writer can amend things instead of bashing or threatening to quit.

Well if readers are not accepting the twist then you should better ignore them ,,
As a reader's POV ,, we get attached to stories and end up suggesting or demanding things which writer doesn't find suitable but its always upto the writer about what they have decided and how they want to show it !!
I guess constructive criticism is what anyone has to face in any field and thats how things work here ,, if as a writer I expect positive comments then I will have to take constructive criticism of a few immature ones too ,,
It just depends on writer how confident he/she is about the story and should carry on with writing it without caring about others !!
I hope I am not sounding rude choco
I just want to clear a reader's POV here because if a writer has feelings then reader also somehow gets attached with the story !!😃
i hope u get my point...

I have been noticing.. You seem to be taking this offensive.. If you know it shouldn't be for you why would you want to take it as meant for you...

I have noticed many posts in various threads saying there are no twists in stories and when the writer provides one they are bashed on the twist and no romance... Criticism can be take when given so not when given in the form of bashing..

What choco says is correct.. Give the writers time to build the story instead of just being impatient and wanting the romance to bloom out of no where...

p.s.I'm a reader too.. and this is my POV... please don't think I'm rude..

Agreed to u
Writers wrote the story as they planned. They knew when there is a romance or any twist. If there is no twist then all the stories were same & boring. In life there is always up & downs so when we accept that in real life so why not in fiction. Writer always said that criticism was always welcome but it should be constructive not the thread started on early words war. Hope everyone understand.
P.s: it's my pov, if anybody is not agreed so plz ignore it.
Thanks
Asif

writer has the final say...readers are welcome to suggest whatever they want but it shouldn't be like killing the characters of the story...
twist is everywhere...n how can u demand the story to be happy n lovey dovey always...when the life is not something like that...
demands should be acceptable...

i agree choco

Agree with you Choco... and i think i know why you are saying this and i understand your point.

Each writer would have a certain vision and story line in mind when they start writing a story and their character behaviours and the plot goes according to that vision.. and if the readers make certain demands and writers are forced to incorporate them, the story actually suffers.

i am not saying that readers should not give their suggestions... and they can certainly even request for certain changes but they should do it in a polite manner and should understand that at times the story moves in a certain manner and that the writers may not be able to bring changes the way the readers want.

@divya
well I'm not d only 1 taking it offensive their are many others here !!
I just wonder why you only quoted me ??😕
Even though I was just trying to explain my POV to TM in a simple way ,.
Their isn't any need for you to get offended and pinpoint me !!😊 Anyways ,, nevermind
well if a writer faces criticism/bashing then all I want to say is to ignore them and thats always the best for writer !!
I am not being rude to anyone but kinda helping out the TM !!
I just want her to write for those who love her work and ignore haters/bashers !!😳
because it will motivate her and help her write better too !!
I agree with ur last two lines so thats why I said to ignore bashers and write confidently what she believes is the story deserves !!
P.S : hahaha no way I don't get offended easily so its all fine from my side !!
